Daily weigh in thread

EatingTillIDie · 21/12/2023 12:37

I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Hi new people, hope you are ok welcome

I made an excel spreadsheet 😂 but MFP will also give you a graph. On my spreadsheet I have a target and then I enter daily losses and it tracks my progress against it.

Finally got back to my original weight from last week so back on track, kind of, as I am now a week behind where I was before!

EatingTillIDie · 12/04/2024 22:41

I'm still waving my sick note as an excuse but I am weighing every day and maintaining which is a win!

Well done everyone keep up the good work 👏

73.3kg
I have gone back to religiously doing MFP down to the tiny details and its paid off so like it or not, this is what I need to do for the next few kg’s!

spackleplumb · 13/04/2024 20:20

Hi new people! I also use My Fitness Pal and make sure to add every single thing right down to minute detail. It's working for me. I'm at 13st 3lbs today after being
16st 5lbs at the end of October. It's coming off steadily, not as fast as I might like but a healthy manageable pace. Good luck to everyone and stick with it.

DirtyDensDog · 14/04/2024 09:30

I've had a shocking week food wise. But I'm back on it today. I'm really disappointed in myself as this is only my 4th week and I was doing well.

Tuesday will be my weekly weigh in day and I know that I will have gained but I can't change that now, all I can do is get back on it.

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

Menora · 14/04/2024 11:14

Had a good loss but this was f-ed up by a mad Saturday where I had to go to multiple events, I tried very hard to pick well with food but there was salty food involved and 2 glasses of wine, so I am likely retaining water, not fat, had 0.5kg overnight gain. I was very active did lots of steps and was on my feet all day so water makes sense! Not going to worry am still under 74kg, what is important is starting today as I mean to go on. I used to beat myself up but now I don’t it’s very refreshing. 1500 calorie weeks do work well for me so onwards! My TDEE is about 1900 now so 1500 isn’t crazy cutting.

spackleplumb · 15/04/2024 09:17

Good morning everyone Smile I seem to be losing a steady 1lb a week at the moment which I know is good but I'd been hoping for a 2lb loss at the moment. Trying to not get too in my head about it.

SW: 16st 5lbs / 104 kg
CW: 13st 3lbs / 84 kg
GW: 10st 2lbs / 64.4 kg

It does help to see it written down! 20 kg overall sounds better Grin Hope everyone is doing well and that the posters who have been unwell are feeling better this week.

LadyDanburysHat · 15/04/2024 10:15

@Menora I had a birthday party to attend on Saturday, with lots of beige food, crisps, nuts and cake. Plus several drinks. I have managed to lose 0.25lbs this week. I think there may be a follow on into this week though.

Menora · 15/04/2024 10:41

It is usually just water, so try not to worry.

last weekend I had a chaotic one and gained 1.75kg 😂 but it was all gone in 5 days. The 0.5kg has gone this morning I am 73.6kg so I think by the end of the week I will be closer to 73kg. I have no other plans coming up for a few weeks so back to it!

LadyDanburysHat · 15/04/2024 15:06

Yeah, I'm back and focused too. Will be going out for an anniversary dinner with DH in a couple of weeks. But if I stick to it the rest of the week, one meal doesn't tend to ruin it. 8 weeks until my holiday, when I will hopefully have lost a decent amount, Then after the holiday, lose the rest.

sortmyselfoutagain · 16/04/2024 06:33

I definitely wasn't great over the weekend with a chinese takeaway and birthday cake but I'm back. I need to up my steps and drink more water and continue to count calories.

No movement today. Keeping hope though!

Menora · 17/04/2024 12:01

Tiny movement 😂 73.2
goal is to get under 73 for a while 😂

I have been eating cake leftover from a party this week. The good thing about that is it makes me go out for a walk to work it off. And the walk is probably burning more than the small pieces of cake I'm eating. 6 weeks until my holiday, and my goal for then is 12st 0, it is looking good. I have now lost a stone, and can't really see it in myself, or really feel it too much in clothes yet. But I know that will come soon.

Would love to get to 8 stone 6

I'm 5ft 7 and 38

spackleplumb · 18/04/2024 13:15

@williamsonc I say with only kindness and no judgment. 8st 6lbs at 5'7" sounds way too low. It would put your BMI at 18.5 and 1lb away from underweight. Most reliable sources will say not to aim for a BMI lower than 20 at the lowest. That for you would be 9st 2lb which would still be light for someone as tall as 5'7". Just be careful and set yourself safe expectations.

Menora · 19/04/2024 07:05

I agree, also you have to be able to maintain the loss and that would be incredibly tough long term at such a low BMI. Perhaps you can settle somewhere more realistic and sustainable

For me this is a realistic weight to maintain. I’m sure I could have less body fat if I really tried but I am not sure it would be worth it. I might look slimmer but I assume my maintenance calories would be small. I will still be under 25 BMI

I am celebrating having lost exactly 4st in just over 12 months.

12lbs to go but I might stop at 10st 10 see how I feel

4 stone, well done, thats fantastic!

I have lost 2 stone since 1st Jan currently BMI 30 down from 34 when I started.

My BIG BIG goal is to get to 10stone 1 lb, which the BMI and ideal weight calculators tell me is the ideal weight for my height (5ft 8). I was 11 stone when I was 11 yo so have never been anywhere close to this weight as a fully grown adult and have no idea how it will look or feel so may change that. I'd like to be about a size 10-12 I think. Again, have never worn that size clothing as an adult so not sure. When I met my husband I was 16yo wearing size 16-18 clothes and have been size 22 for a while.

I need to lose another 2 stone 6lb which will get me into the healthy BMI range at 11stone 10 lbs so that's where I'll target for now and we will see how it goes.

Menora · 19/04/2024 07:32

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain thank you

my range is apparently 51kg to 69kg which is crazy I could never be 8st 😂 I do not have the body frame at all. I am medium body frame as my wrist is 6inches

65kg feels more realistic although 60kg is right in the middle is 9st 4? Still not sure I can get down that low and not look unwell

spackleplumb · 22/04/2024 09:17

How has everyone been over the weekend? I had a few treats due to a large scale social event but still avoided alcohol and had no cheese which helped. Down 2lbs this week so no complaints.

Morning all. I had the worst week with food last week, but every time I scoffed something that was too many calories it did guilt me into going for a walk. So I got plenty of exercise. I am 1lb down on last week though, so all good. Still on track to make my target holiday weight.

DirtyDensDog · 22/04/2024 09:51

Morning all, I've not posted for a few days. I had my first ever stomach bug and was laid up in bed for three days, I couldn't eat at all. Every cloud.

Happy to be in the 11st bracket.

Menora · 22/04/2024 10:00

I am not at home the last few days so the scales here I have are showing me 72.5kg but I don’t know if to trust them or not. I will wait and see at home later this week.
