I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

CW 151.5

so not bad…
back on it this week

CoatOfArms · 03/04/2024 10:07

No change again for me today. Tried to make a new payment on my banking app though and it would not recognise my face as being me. DH says it must be because i've lost weight. Kind of nice, also a total faff logging back in to the site again.

Menora · 03/04/2024 11:06

as I seem to be a glutton for punishment and allegedly only 8lbs off my ‘goal’ I’ve changed my whole goal 😂 and I now decided to lose one more stone to go to 10st 7lbs.

This is 66kg so I have 8kg more to lose

LaraCooper · 03/04/2024 11:28

Today's weight 71.5kg .. I don't understand it! Yesterday was 71kg, I did not eat much and did 2 hours of cardio plus 1 hour of pilates..

Menora · 03/04/2024 12:16

2 hours of cardio is a lot

None of us know what you are eating though

not eating much and 3 hours of exercise? I feel like you are overdoing it and this is reflecting in your mindset as it’s clearly affecting you

If I did 2 hours of cardio I assume my muscles and body would hold on to every drop of water I had consumed to rehydrate myself and therefore, I would be heavier by water but perhaps lose ‘weight’ if I measured with a tape.

you know you can’t lose weight by exercise - it’s all diet related. Exercise is for strength, mobility, flexibility, mental health, cardio health, building muscles, tone. It’s not for weight loss. Are you eating back what you are exercising in calories? We already told you it’s water. You are doing a lot of exercise so will sweat a lot then everything you drink will be stored in your body now

please don’t not drink though stay hydrated

perhaps you could consult a personal trainer or PT for some in person advice as I think you could really burn yourself out

if you are not careful and don’t eat enough you will be losing muscle as well as fat and that’s not a good thing to do

Menora · 03/04/2024 12:28

@LaraCooper hey look we are not all lying to you - here is my chart from 1st Jan to today.

Look at these fluctuations - but the line is going down slowly (blue) the orange line is the target. It’s all over the place

fluctuations are normal and they do not mean you are gaining fat back again but you have to take a sensible approach

MikeRafone · 03/04/2024 13:42

you know you can’t lose weight by exercise - it’s all diet related

you won't lose weight by dest alone, it is usually about 80%/20% of dest to exercise - the exercise aids the weight loss. Building muscles is very helpful for not yoyo dieting as if you diet and lose muscle instead of fat (thats the easiest part of your body to source energy) then you'll easily put weight back on when you finish dieting. If though you build muscle whilst dieting your body should in theory maintain easier when you have lost fat

Mostly though exercise keeps us healthy and on track in a mindful way.

Menora · 03/04/2024 14:32

@MikeRafone yes but this is cardio so it’s not as likely to build muscle specifically

body recomp is something specific and you have to eat/exercise in a particular way (protein + weights) to gain muscle whilst losing fat. Won’t happen easily doing cardio and eating minimal calories. And like I said you will not lose weight on a scale very quickly you will see the loss in inches from your body parts as muscle weighs the same as fat but is more dense so takes up less space

73.5kg today
I did eat some of my Easter egg I have been longing out for days on end tonight - I think it’s done well to last from Sunday and I still have a tiny bit left 😂 then did a huge walk. Can’t work out I have sciatica and still this annoying cold.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 04/04/2024 20:06

🎉🎉Weighed in at 199lbs this morning 🎉🎉

So far that's 26lb loss in 96days so roughly 1 lb every 4 days.

spackleplumb · 04/04/2024 21:51

@DirtyDensDog thank you! Just saw your comment from the other day. Yes it feels great to be seeing the weight come off!

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain that is brilliant, well done!!! Bet you feel amazing!

Menora · 05/04/2024 07:26

Well done @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain so happy for you! It’s a good feeling isn’t it!

73.4kg today (11st 7)
1 stone to go as I changed my goal. Will assess at 10st 10 see how it’s going. I still have lumpy legs but I have lipodema so this might just have to be something I have to accept. But I can see some muscle tone in my calf now (I have zero muscle definition in my legs due to the lipodema)

janeljl · 05/04/2024 09:29

Big fluctuation today!

9st 6 yesterday
9st 4.25 today

I think it's a bit of dehydration. I must have missed my last glass of water as I also woke up with a headache.

This is why weekly weigh ins don't work for me!

66.7kg! First time seeing a weight begining 66 in 8 months or so. I had a "day off" counting today at a friend's party with a buffet with wine, but didn't go mad.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 08/04/2024 06:31

SW - 1st Jan - 225 lb (16 st 1 lb - BMI 34.2)

CW - 8th Apr - 198 lb (14 st 2 lb - BMI 30.1)

Total Loss - 27 lb (12% bodyweight)

spackleplumb · 08/04/2024 11:09

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing ok and enjoying the sunshine this morning! I've only lost 1lb again this week so I'm a bit annoyed it's not 2 but I am happy it's a loss. Getting there slowly at the moment but on the right track. I've started to feel smaller now. I'm properly noticing I am shrinking a bit- albeit slowly. I'm in smaller jackets/bras/tops/dresses and it does feel very good. It's starting to feel like the GW is becoming genuinely achievable. When I started it felt like it would never happen. Still a way to go but today I feel like I'll get there by the end of the year if I stay focused.

SW: 16st 5lbs

CW: 13st 4lbs
GW: 10st 2lbs

Hope everyone else is doing ok this week. I love how we are all motivating each other. It really does help!

Menora · 08/04/2024 11:15

Back up to 74.5kg but I didn’t work out all week and I still don’t feel 100%
I did walk a lot

I worked out this morning (forced myself)

I need a break from thinking about the main goal as it’s just still so far away and life keeps life-ing. I will set myself smaller goals again. So right now my goal is to get under 73kg

I’m not really at a bad weight - it’s the kind of weight I have always wanted to get to again but I am still feeling blobby around certain places so going to keep on keeping on

I had a gain over the weekend, it was my own fault but it wasn’t fat it was probably water as a few days back in a tracking deficit, most of it has gone. This week is written off as a no loss week but on to the next week, keep going!
73.9kg now so a little gain

Fr7fr6 · 11/04/2024 09:32

Oh I'd like to join in.

SW - 80.6kg
CW - 79kg
GW - 66.5kg

My aim is to get BMI down to 22, so I'm roughly in the middle between overweight and underweight.

DirtyDensDog · 11/04/2024 10:30

Hello @Fr7fr6

LadyDanburysHat · 11/04/2024 15:50

Hi All

I disappeared for a week or so. I had the most horrendous cold, and on Monday I had my coil replaced und GA, so I am now holding onto weight from that, so up from where I was.

SW: 13st 5
CW: 13 st 7.5 (was down to 13st 5.5
GW: 10st 0

sortmyselfoutagain · 12/04/2024 07:15

Can I join please? I'm starting calorie counting properly for the first time today.

SW: 20st 11lbs

I go on holiday in 4 weeks and would like to be under 10 20 stone by then.

What app do you use for the tracking graph?
