@PlasticineKing see above for my maths. On the basis of 0.022g per click in a 1.7 pen, you'd need 61 clicks for 1.35mg dose.

Legend, thanks so much! Wondering how ropey I will feel tomorrow now 🤪

TheWayOfTheWorld · 19/12/2023 12:35

Good luck @PlasticineKing! I felt awful going up to 0.5 and then 0.75; I'm currently on 0.625 😆

PlasticineKing · 19/12/2023 12:40

@TheWayOfTheWorld i did 0.5 to 0.75 which was ok but then when i went to 1mg it was a good few weeks before I lost the Wednesday feeling fragile/wonky sofe of things. I’m expecting it for 1.35, there’s no way I’m risking 1.7 straight away!

LadyAppleday · 20/12/2023 13:07

Hello all, I’m new on here, currently taking Rybelsus (semaglutide tablets) but thinking of changing to wegovy injections. Is there anyone else here that has done that? If so how was it?

Superlambaanana · 21/12/2023 07:20

I had nearly two months on 0.25mg and was doing fine and then on the spur of the moment decided to take two 0.25mg shots last weekend. Boy am I regretting that now. I started to feel nauseous last night and this morning I can barely move. Can anyone give me any hope that this will have worn off by Christmas day? I'm going to post this in the thread for those a few months in as well and see if they have any sage advice. I think I'll delay my next dose and go back to 0.25.

Twilightstarbright · 21/12/2023 07:24

@LSGX Piers Morgan just says these things for attention- the drugs are a tool not a magic dilution that lets you sit on your bum eating ten donuts whilst weight magically drops off.

Im doing well, im hoping to lose about 5lb more then maintain
and reduce my dose gradually. When I wake up I can’t believe I don’t have rolls of fat on my stomach.

I took my DS to see Santa and I love not hating photos of myself because I look fat. Both shallow but not shallow I guess.

My worst symptoms where usually day 2 and 3 and was fine by day 4c so hopefully you'll be fine Smile

Is it not more possible that you're ill with something else? I've never had delayed reactions like that to an increase in dose, have been on it 10 months now and increased dose 5 times - though I know we all react differently!

wearedonnnne · 22/12/2023 08:07

Cannot stop throwing up.

I weaned off ozempic gradually back in July. A few times since I have occasionally had 0.25ml when I was majorly slipping.

I took a dose Wednesday morning

Felt v sick Wednesday evening

Threw up 4-7am Thursday morning

And this morning have been throwing up non stop since 6am.

I feel like hell.

Do you feel any better today? My throwing up is similar to food poisoning but I know it is from the pen

ajandjjmum · 22/12/2023 11:03

How do you know it isn't a bug? Hope you're feeling better soon.

SarahC50 · 22/12/2023 19:19

Dear fellow ozempic users, I just wanted to wish all you lovely ladies a Happy Christmas. This supportive thread has been invaluable to me over the last year. I'm planning on having some treats over the festive fortnight and getting back on the straight and narrow come January. Much love xx

Superlambaanana · 22/12/2023 22:49

I'm finally feeling better today. Can't be certain it wasn't something else, but I reckon it was the 0.5 jab i had at the weekend. I'm going to postpone my next injection until after Christmas day. And maybe go back to 0.25 but do an injection every 5 days. The 0.5 seems very strong. I literally didn't eat anything for nearly 48 hours while i felt sick and while that's probably good for weight loss it's hardly ideal.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 23/12/2023 00:53

@SarahC50 Thank you and the same to you! xx

@Superlambaanana sounds awful and quite scary. Hope it passes soon.

wearedonnnne · 23/12/2023 06:56

I am also feeling much better today. I couldn't stand for long yesterday without feeling like I was going to collapse from being so weak due to all the throwing up etc

I think because I have been 1mg in the past and my occasional 0.25 didn't do much after I had weaned off and then started up again I thought I'd handle 0.5 no problem.

Big mistake.

I am pretty certain it was the pen and not a bug. The symptoms started as they usually do with the one (just a lot more dramatic), the timing was spot on, it wasn't anything I ate as my family are all completely fine etc.

It was a horrific 48hours and similar to food poisoning (but definitely wasn't as I ate no different to family all week)

KateWick · 24/12/2023 08:18

Just wanted to wish you ladies all a Happy Christmas.

Also, wondering if anyone has taken their Oz/Wegovy on a domestic flight? I’m headed to Edinburgh for a fortnight and want to bring my pen with one jab left. Is it better in checked baggage or cabin?

SarahC50 · 24/12/2023 11:27

@KateWick I've travelled with my pen in my cabin bag and once in the hold. No problem and no Dr letter needed. I put the pen in the plastic bag with my liquids. No problem either time x

ajandjjmum · 24/12/2023 14:38

I travelled for six weeks to Australia and New Zealand with a couple of pens - no problems at all. The only thing I was told was not to put them in the hold, as the temperature gets too low and would damage the fluid.

KateWick · 26/12/2023 08:45

Thank you both!

Karmakamelion · 26/12/2023 21:27

Hi happy boxing day. I was wondering if anyone has gone up to 1.7 mg. I've only lost 5 kgs since August and have been on 1 mg since April. So wondering if I need to go up. Still have 15 kgs to go.

I'm reluctant as it's so much more expensive

I’m on 1.7mg. It’s a noticeable jump from 1.0. If the lower dose isn’t working well for you you should move up. Whatever you’re spending on 1.0 is going to waste.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 27/12/2023 00:50

@Karmakamelion That's a long time on 1mg. And I'm thinking with only 15 kg to go, the pace that you are losing at will slow down as your total daily energy expenditure goes down.
I'm on 1.7 W, went up about 6 weeks ago and for me it's been noticeable. I'm also now injecting in my upper arms (the flabby bit), a bit more painful than the thighs but I swear the effect is better.

I've had an extraordinary year, steadily losing around 3 kg/month (6-7 pounds), for 9 months, but recently more slowly as BMI is now 23. It's not been without effort though because that's a calorie deficit of over 5500/week, which is bonkers little food really. I've been under 1000/day a lot of the time and that takes some serious planning to get all the protein + nutrients. Can't say I've been particularly hungry though, but anyone who thinks this is an easy way to lose weight doesn't know what they are talking about.

Over Christmas the the calorie deficit + seasonal stuff + being a bit overworked has really caught up with me and I'm feeling wiped out. This is why I don't recommend extreme calorie deficit to anyone with an active lifestyle/job/family situation that needs a lot of energy - there is just no fuel.
I'm having a few re-feed days even though I'm not very hungry, and will then take a view on how quickly to shift my last 6-7 kg (roughly a stone) in the new year. Slightly worried about how I will maintain this without the jab but I am committed to calorie counting for life. Honestly the thought barely even depresses me, but we'll see how I feel once the food chatter and hunger comes back. Planning to come off in three months.
Hope everyone is OK.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 27/12/2023 07:18

Urgh, I'm definitely suffering this morning - gurgling stomach, dizzy sulphur burps and I've just been to the loo...

Baring in mind I've been on this since late April and am currently on 0.65 im surprised it's still having much effect on me!

I did notice yesterday morning that I seemed to have a mild sulphur burp but it went away - until coming back much stronger in the middle of the night!

I'm going to write down what I've had over the past couple of days, I don't think it looks terrible at all, but maybe it's the fact of two days in a row...

Christmas Day
Breakfast: 1 croissant and 3 small churros stars, with a cup of coffee (I normally don't have breakfast)

Lunch: small steak, 3 roast potatoes, broccoli, 2 Yorkshire puddings and gravy; 3 profiteroles for pudding (after a gap), glass of fizz

Nibbles/evening: too full for dinner, had generous handful of pistachios and a few chocolate beans and another glass of fizz

Boxing Day
Breakfast: crumpet and a coffee

Lunch: roast ham, 3 roast potatoes, mixed veg, gravy and a glass of fizz; trifle for pudding (a couple of hours later)

Nibbles/dinner: again, too full for another meal, had some pitta bread, a roast potato, a biscuit and 3-4 quality street.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 27/12/2023 07:18

I’m officially a “normal” BMI as of this morning. I’m so happy I could cry. This med is life-changing.
