Thanks for the new thread. All good with me at 4.5 months in.

Twilightstarbright · 14/08/2023 18:26

Thanks for the new thread!

Rightangled wanted proof I was already on ozempic 1mg, a photo of the meds with my name on it or a previous prescription.

This is a great heads up, thanks. I think the named sticker tends to be on the box and I bin that when I start the pen so will be sure to take a photo before binning my remaining box.

I'm also 4.5 months in and have lost just over 2.5 stones. I'm about 2lb away from being overweight 😄. I love ozempic, worried about the shortages but have been ok so far and am just trying to keep a pen ahead. If I do need to stop I'm really hoping I have the will power to at least maintain where I am.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 14/08/2023 19:29

Marking my place, and checking in to share that I've broken my plateau. Making sure I reached 10k steps each day and drinking LOTs of water saw to that! Onwards and downwards! I have 10 weeks at 0.5 left in stock, I'm determined to get as close to goal within that time as possible.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 14/08/2023 21:57

Thank you for the new thread. Five months in and I've lost a little over 40lbs with minimal side effects, went up to 0.75 three weeks ago. BMI 27 now. Have gone from a size 20 to a 14-16 as of today, would like to lose another 28lbs. I'm 50, on HRT and short.
I can hardly believe the change in me. People don't recognize me and I feel great. I had alcohol dependence and that went almost over night.
I'm giving it my all and track pretty much every calorie, I'm in extreme deficit (600-1100 kcal/day and focusing on protein). It's the only thing that's worked for me historically, I gain weight over 1200 kcal/day. No wonder I was obese and miserable, and comfort eating & drinking. A vicious cycle following a few hard years. With the jab it's been so, so much easier to be in deficit. To maintain I will have to think about portion control and nutrition always, I'm resigned to that. Never going back to the way I was. It wasn't a life.

dalmatianmad · 14/08/2023 22:06

Is there a link.to the old thread? I'm about to start on Ozempic.

Teddypops · 14/08/2023 22:30

Ah thanks for the new thread!!

UsernameFail · 15/08/2023 07:50

Thanks for the new thread.

All of you have had such incredible weight losses. I'm envious. Ive needed the full 1mg dose to start seeing success. Hey ho

Circa1840 · 15/08/2023 07:59

Thanks for the new thread. It's so encouraging reading all your losses. I had to send a pic of my current pen with prescription label on to Rightangled. I also managed to pause the juniper .5 so got a refund. I am unsure whether to use the 1mg as a .5 and see what happens or just keep on the 1mg.

Andrasa · 15/08/2023 08:26

I’m 0.3lbs off 30 lbs lost so it’s frustrating the scale continues to refuse to move! I had a few weeks of eating quite low calorie as I just wasn’t hungry, so now I’m trying the opposite and upping my calories as much as I can (protein and veg as much as possible).

if nothing else, hopefully my run tonight will feel easier.

Capuccinopup · 15/08/2023 08:29

Hi all. Just a word of warning regarding ordering from Rightangled - my order from them for a 1mg pen was lost by Royal Mail. They told me to wait 7 working days, once it reached 7 working days they told me I need to wait an additional 30 days before I can get a refund or replacement for the lost parcel.

Really unimpressed, considering doing a chargeback through my bank as I paid by credit card, as they’re refusing to give my money back for over 6 weeks after I ordered despite no delivery.

UsernameFail · 15/08/2023 08:58

Wow! That's bad of Royal Mail @Capuccinopup ! I thought they were sent registered / signed delivery so how have they lost it - it must be somewhere.

Yeah it’s bizarre - it hasn’t even made it to my local sorting office, it’s in the main distribution centre (or whatever it’s called!) and hasn’t moved since it arrived there the day after it was shipped.

Peridot1 · 15/08/2023 10:01

Thanks for the new thread @DrMadelineMaxwell.

I am weaning off due to the shortages. Will wait for Wegovy to become available I think. I have enough left for ten weeks on 0.5 and am planning on sticking to that for now.

@dalmatianmad - there are quite a few Ozempic threads in Weight Loss Chat. It’s not a great time to start though due to the shortages and associated price rises.

@VanellopeVonSchweetz99 - well done - it sounds like it’s really worked for you. Wish it affected my ability to drink! I think that would have really helped me.

KateWick · 15/08/2023 11:22

Juniper are sending me a 0.5 pen today and seem to be saying they have stock for existing customers, whatever that means. I’m curious if they’ll suddenly change the guidance and say we can use 0.25 for more than four weeks after insisting for ages that it’s extra in case we screw up the starter dose. I’ve got 5 weeks of my 1.0 pen left and another unopened 0.5 from QuickMeds. I’ll probably order another of those so hopefully this is enough to tide me over until Wegovy launches. I’m still losing on 0.5, probably because I never went up to 1.0 for fear of side effects.

notapizzaeater · 15/08/2023 11:30

I'm starting my last one today - gulp ! Hope stocks start coming through soon 🤯🤯🤯

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 15/08/2023 12:55

Thank you @Peridot1 , I'm not totally off the wine, still drink with dinner 2-3 evenings a week but happy to stop after a few glasses, something that's very "not me". I really hope I can keep up the new good habits going forward.

NotABeliever · 15/08/2023 13:34

Marking my place too!
Pilldoctor seem to have stock but they ask a for a lot of evidence to allow you to place an order including GP details, full body photo, ID and when did you last have a blood test!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 15/08/2023 14:40

I have just had the Depo-Provera jab for excessive periods - anyone else on this? Having had a quick Google it can reduce the effects of the Ozempic jab. I really hope not! Have been very tight with calorie counting yesterday and today and will be going forwards in the hope I can keep on top of the weight loss.

I would consider going up to 1.25 depending if I can get it of course what with Wegovey being the higher dose.

WeightInLine · 15/08/2023 15:53

Thanks for new thread.

Good to hear about people breaking their plateaus. Has anyone managed to get the appetite suppressing quality back on the same dose? Or is it once that’s gone you HAVE to move up a dose?

nebulae · 15/08/2023 18:02

Virtual Slimming Clinic have 1mg pens in stock, if anyone's feeling flush (£325)

MalibuBetty · 15/08/2023 18:11

I just started my final pen today 😭 I really don't want to stop I'm just under 2 stone to my target weight with 5 stone lost but it's just too expensive and hard to get now. I had titrated down to 75 then 50 to eke it out but it was doing f all at those lower doses so I've gone back back to 1mg for the last 4 weeks. May as well go out with a bang.

Pineapplepansy · 15/08/2023 20:02

I'm taking rybelsus and follow here with interest as it's the same drug (semaglutide I think) and I'm curious to find out how people are coping with reduced doses or coming off altogether as I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to get it for so I will be in that position soon. I am worried I'll go back to my bad habits.

Twilightstarbright · 15/08/2023 20:50

@TheGoodEnoughWife I am On Depo provera and I’ve lost 30lb in 4 months so I’m thrilled. I’ve been on DP for a few years.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 15/08/2023 20:59

Thank you @Twilightstarbright that is reassuring. Really don't want any extra hurdles now!
