Once open they don't need to be in the fridge.

My ASDA order arrived. Ordered Friday, dispatched Monday.

Well packaged with insulation and 2 ice packs.

With 1.0mg of Wegovy being cheaper than what I was paying for 0.25mg of Ozempic, I'm very happy. Hopefully competition in pricing will bring it down more as supply increases.

SarahC50 · 24/10/2023 16:45

Juniper have now said the 1mg pen ozempic won't be available until December, they keep shifting the goalposts.

@Roughyed that's great can I ask how much it was please and was it easy to switch over? Thanks x

I paid £171.49 for 1mg Wegovy.

(My last 0.25mg of Ozempic from Rightangled was £205)

Switching was very easy, just filled questionnaire, sent body (clothed!) picture and a picture of scales reading, while stood on it.

SarahC50 · 24/10/2023 18:44

@Roughyed thankyou that sounds ok and good price. I'm paying £225 for 0.5mg with juniper x

For those who ordered from boots or asda, was your Bmi still in the obese categorie? Were you honest with it? No judgement, I have lost a significant amount of weight but not quite done yet, and my current weight wouldnt allow me the precription I think.

I'm still very much in the obese category. They do ask for photos too.

I’m not obese now (yay!) but have two stone to go to get to my goal of 11 stone. No problem with 1.7 of Wegovy being approved.

mathis2006 · 24/10/2023 22:13

@Peridot1 thank you.
Did you have to send a picture?

Kfjsjdbd · 25/10/2023 09:44

@mathis2006 I’m at a healthy weight at the moment, but want to keep taking it. And yes, I do lie about my weight and height.

Peridot1 · 25/10/2023 10:30

@mathis2006 - no I didn’t with Boots but did with Quick Meds.

Diedre44 · 25/10/2023 11:55

Has anyone had any increase of side effects after switching to Wegovy?
Took my first 1mg on Monday morning and by 2pm had the dreaded sulphur burps back and then horrendous diarrhoea all day yesterday.
I've had no break between Ozempic, took my last 1mg last Monday 16th had no side effects whatsoever for weeks and weeks and then took 1mg Wegovy Monday and bam back with a bang, I don't think I could cope with another day like yesterday. I'm lucky WFH but had to take the afternoon off sick was going to the loo every 15mins. The only different thing was obviously Wegovy injection and weirdly the first time in months I've injected in tummy.
I really felt like giving up last night was that bad. I'm hoping it's not going to be another titrate up to expedition and just a one off. Feel marginally better today though.

Peridot1 · 25/10/2023 11:59

@Diedre44 - I’m not entirely sure but I think so. First Wegovy injection last week (1.7 up from 1.5 of Ozempic) and I felt nauseous and tired all weekend and into Monday. I wasn’t sure if it was some kind of bug or the medication. I took this week’s dose yesterday so I’ll see how I go.

MissConducUS · 25/10/2023 15:53

You're not really switching when you change from Ozempic to Wegovy. It's exactly the same drug molecule with a different name on the box.

KateWick · 25/10/2023 16:47

@SarahC50 When did Juniper say this? I’m convinced they deleted the Slack to avoid mass anger.

SarahC50 · 25/10/2023 17:54

@KateWick I had three vague faffy emails from them that didn't answer the actual question as to when I'd receive the 1mg. Finally yesterday they answered my specific question and said I'd get my 1mg pen at the start of Dec.

I have no faith that I'll receive it then but BMI is now under 30 so I'm scared to shift suppliers x

KateWick · 25/10/2023 17:56

@SarahC50 Utter chancers. They have me stuck, too, as I’m under the BMI to join anywhere new and QuickMeds aren’t even replying to WhatsApp messages anymore.

Boots prescribed 1mg to me even though my BMI is not under 30.

Although, I still haven't had notification of it being ready yet and they're not answering the phone.

WhyDoesItAlways · 25/10/2023 18:35

Actually just this minute got through to them and it's ready for me!

Right - all that FB stuff was bullshit. I haven't joined it and from what I heard it was only a few hundred people in there compared to nearly 8000 in slack Hmm

TheWayOfTheWorld · 25/10/2023 18:46

I'm the same as you @SarahC50 and @KateWick - I've shifted nearly 3 stone and am hovering over 25 BMI. But given my height probably should aim for another 1-1.5 stone. I may try Boots and see how that goes.

KateWick · 25/10/2023 18:53

@TheWayOfTheWorld I refused to join too but wish I knew what was being said in there. We need an insider lol

I am under 30 now too. When you fill in the Boots form you put in your weight when you started Ozempic, when you last took it, how long you have been on it etc. I got a 1mg pen from them

Cantonet · 25/10/2023 19:22

I was rejected from Boots as I'm not a current customer. I was a Saxenda customer last year. Just beware that they seem to be employing variable criteria. Asda is far easier to obtain.

orangelotus · 25/10/2023 19:57

I'm not sure how to manage this any longer I'm on 1mg just got a 1mg of Wegovy .
I really feel I need to increase the dose as the 1 mg is not having much effect but as my BMI is now just under 27 I am struggling to find a supply . Boots are not taking new patients Asda and pharmacy for u say my Bmi is now too low.
Other suppliers seem to be ££££
I'm hoping as supplies increase things willl get better but I am absolutely stuck at the same weight despite exercising and keeping the calories within reason.
Sorry to moan just feeling frustrated as was so hoping to be in a normal BMI by December
