@orangelotus I’m in a similar situation and I’m planning to lie. My BMI is 23.5 So I’m not far off but I’m of an ethnicity where a BMI of 21 is ideal for me (according to my Dr).

orangelotus · 25/10/2023 21:57

How will you lie? Will you make another email?
I've been scrupulously truthful but it's frustrating

Peridot1 · 26/10/2023 08:49

@MissConducUS - I understand that but I have read a few places that people are experiencing a change in side effects using Wegovy. It doesn’t make sense to me either but it does seem to be a thing. For me it could be the slight increase in dose from 1.5 to 1.7.

@SarahC50 - I got 1.7 Wegovy from Boots with no problem. My BMI is under 30.

SarahC50 · 26/10/2023 16:21

@KateWick agree re juniper the whole experience has been shambolic seven months in
I find the emails from juniper very officious verging on rude. I was on the mess that was slack but quit after the supply issues. My BMI is under thirty so I'm trapped too x

Kfjsjdbd · 26/10/2023 19:56

@DrMadelineMaxwell did your Pharmacy2u order show up? Mine hasn’t yet. Makes me a bit nervous!

Kfjsjdbd · 26/10/2023 20:17

Feel like I might have been scammed somehow on Pharmacy2u. When I log in online it says I’ve got no orders and haven’t had any orders in the past. But they have also said via email that they have dispatched my medication and there’s a Royal Mail tracking number saying it is 24 hour delivery (was sent on Monday).

Anyway, just pre warning anyone who is tempted to order.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/10/2023 20:41

Hi. Yes it did. I opted to get it delivered to my royal mail local post office when I got the tracking info and it arrived the day after I ordered it.

Ok thanks that makes me feel better. I’m going to call them tomorrow.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/10/2023 20:43

Also, I don't think it shows up in your normal orders tab as it's not a standard order, but one through the online doctor prescribing part instead.

@Kfjsjdbd it's very well rated on Trustpilot. I honestly think you will be fine.

Kfjsjdbd · 26/10/2023 21:03

Thanks @Cantonet

@TheWayOfTheWorld I refused to join too but wish I knew what was being said in there. We need an insider lol

I was on the juniper facebook group until this evening, have left when I spotted someone I know on the group. I've not told anyone apart from my husband and will keep it that way.

Anyway, the juniper Facebook group is very quiet, around 600 members. Most posts are the juniper people doing shout out style posts and post your NSVs etc. there was one post this week with someone saying juniper have told them December for 1mg and lots of people saying they are disappointed. It's not worth being on and I wish I hadn't joined because I wonder how many people I know have seen me in it now.

HolidayHappy123 · 29/10/2023 00:13

I've been on Ozempic for a while. Had 11 weeks with very few side effects (just mild nausea a couple of mornings a week) then got hit with the most horrendous diarrhoea I have ever had preceded by horrible sulphur burps. I came off it for a few weeks while travelling abroad and then restarted back at 0.25.

I'm about 13 weeks in this time and the same has happened. I started with the sulphur burps this morning and diarrhoea this afternoon. I was hoping to avoid taking Imodium but Ive just give in otherwise I'll get no sleep tonight. My stomach is making the most unbelievable noises.

Any ideas on why this is suddenly happening (again) and what I can do to stop it? I really don't want to stop the Ozempic or lower the dose as I'm doing so well on it, although the weight loss has been slower second time around.

Geggs · 29/10/2023 12:43

My-bmi have dropped their prices. 1mg is now £199

orangelotus · 29/10/2023 13:18

I think I have just managed to order 1.7 mg of Wegovy am currently on 1mg got three weeks left in the pen. My weight loss has really plateaued and I have at least one if not two stones to lose still .
I am still happy as in the past by now I would have again begun on the upward trajectory but the 1mg isn't really having much effect now.Have lost 3and a half stone since starting in December.
My question is has anyone on here began taking 1.7 mgs and has it made a difference?

Zempy · 29/10/2023 13:48

I tried to order from myBMI but they would only offer me 0.25 or 0.5 as I haven't ordered from them before.

I plateaued for a month when I started on 0.5 but I am now losing a couple of pounds a week again, much slower than at the start, but I guess that's the case with any weight loss journey. I don't know why I expected to lose at the same rate...

I have lost just under two stone but still have a stone to lose to get to a normal BMI.

Peridot1 · 29/10/2023 15:08

@orangelotus o I’m on my second week of 1.7 of Wegovy. No noticeable difference from 1.5 of Ozempic. Still have food chatter and can eat more. Need to remember that I still need t really work at it!

Kfjsjdbd · 29/10/2023 18:04

Sometimes I question my sanity at spending so much money on Ozempic…then I took the kids swimming today and felt so so much more confident than I have done for years. It’s so worth it.

Lavendersquare · 29/10/2023 18:49

@SwimmingFree I won't join the MyJuniper FB group either for the same reasons I don't want to be visible and inadvertently spit or be spotted by someone I know. In fact I'm a rather fed up of being fobbed off with 0.5mg when by now I should be on 1.5mg, so I'm switching to Asda Dr online and will get 1.0mg Wegovy whilst saving myself £56 a month!

Oh dear!! Yes the effects have really stopped being as effective. Or effective at all but I still haven't gained which to me is a huge plus
Are you losing on 1.5 ?

Peridot1 · 30/10/2023 08:26

@orangelotus - no haven’t lost for ages. And in fact have gained a bit. I should have weighed this morning but I didn’t bother. I’m going to the US on Wednesday for almost a week so figure no point stressing till I get back. But once I get back I’m going to knuckle down properly and track protein and drink more water. I think they are my biggest issues. Well that and the wine consumption! I’m going to stop that for a few weeks.

Yes I think we both know the alcohol is a real problem but I have zero motivation to change that
Unfortunately.
I'm going to try the 1.7mgs and if possible even go up to the next dose it will be exactly a year since I started on 13/12 and I just really want to be in a normal BMI.
That would mean 9pounds in 9 weeks can't see it happening.
Have a good trip away. I'll let you know of the increased dose makes any difference

Zempy · 30/10/2023 08:51

Honestly, alcohol makes a MASSIVE difference.

I think I have been slipping and expecting the medication to do ALL the work, rather than just the heavy lifting. Eating the odd extra cereal bar or banana or yoghurt just because I fancy it or I am bored.

It doesn’t sound or feel like a lot at the time, but it’s been sabotaging me. I cannot afford to continue with the drugs for much longer, so I’m going to put my Big Girl Pants on and make the absolute most of it whilst I can. Otherwise it’s just a waste of money.

Peridot1 · 30/10/2023 08:57

@orangelotus - I get you about the motivation on the alcohol. It’s so hard. Really wish I was someone who semaglutide made not want it! It seems to help others.

@Zempy - I’m the same with expecting the medication to do the work. Although I preach at others not to do that! I think I’ve been on it so long at this stage too that I’m kind of bored with the whole thing.

I too need to put on my big girl pants and get serious again.

Movinghouseatlast · 30/10/2023 12:01

This is very odd... My partner and I have both had Covid for 2 weeks. The first week we barely ate anything as both felt nauseous all the time, constantly coughing etc. 2nd week we have had a couple of normal meals, but I've had my usual tiny portions. We've both been unable to get up for most of the time, both get out of breath walking downstairs so either in bed or on the sofa for 2 weeks.

He has lost 7lbs. I have lost...

Nothing. Zilch.

I'm on Wegovy 1mg- I went up to this dose just after getting Covid, I've been on .5mg Ozempic for 5 months before that as I couldnt get 1mg.

I just can't work out how this can be?
