Has anyone suffered from backache whilst taking Ozempic? I took my last dose on Tuesday, and since then have been suffering from back pain located in my left kidney area 😢

I've not had this. You probably should see a doctor in case it's a UTI/ kidney infection.

0.5mg Wegovy yesterday morning and feel great, no side effects so far, and it works like magic. Didn't eat much yesterday but don't feel hungry at all. 300g gone overnight after a summer of plateau and even gain!

whenlifegivesyou · 30/09/2023 10:51

My worry is what do we all do when we have to stop? I've heard most ppl put it all back on again. Super high prices make it an absolute luxury in the longer term ...

Themaidshandstale · 30/09/2023 10:56

I'm at a bit of a plateau and starting to feel like giving up. I've lost 1.5 stone so far, it's my second month on 1mg of wegovy. I don't feel full anymore. I've maintained for the last 3 weeks. I'm not sure why it's not 'working'. Any tips?

Peridot1 · 30/09/2023 11:31

@whenlifegivesyou - it’s like any diet - if you go back to eating the way you did to gain weight then you will put it back on. So we need to change our eating habits. And remember the manufacturers say it should be thought of as a lifelong medication a bit like if you were prescribed blood pressure meds for instance. And yes the high prices make that probably unaffordable for most people.

@Themaidshandstale - you may need to increase the dose. Wegovy goes up to 2.4. I’m similar. Still on Ozempic just now but in 1.5 and it’s definitely not enough. I can’t bring myself to pay the ridiculous prices now though so I think I’m going to taper off and see how I go.

SwimmingFree · 30/09/2023 21:24

@whenlifegivesyou I've been thinking a bit about what happens after ozempic and feel nervous about it.

I've lost about 3.5 stone since January. Due to the supply issues I was moved onto 0.5 in the last couple of months and I've bounced around and struggled to loose, whereas on 1mg I consistently lost.

I definitely struggle with the return of uncontrollable cravings for sugar. I just can't see how I'll be able to come off ozempic or if I do it'll go back on.

I agree with @Peridot1 that we need to change our eating habits and I've definitely done that but find it really really hard to maintain the eating habits when off ozempic or on the lower doses.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 01/10/2023 10:29

I'm on approx 0.75 wegovy. I went up last week after stalling on 0.5 which had worked for a while.

Yesterday I ate a starter and a small portion of fries for a special lunch out with my daughter at 12 and was so full that I didn't eat again for the rest of the day!

I've been off it since the start of July, continued to lose but a much slower pace. I've still got a full pen left so considering starting again so I don't waste it, appetite still reduced but the cravings are back!

TheWayOfTheWorld · 01/10/2023 12:07

I think 0.5 has pretty much stopped working for me now. My stomach is gnawing first thing in the morning and it's mainly willpower seeing me through... having said that, my appetite is definitely still a lot smaller.

I'm got 2 1.0 pens in the fridge plus my latest 0.5 delivery from Juniper. I'm tempted to go up to 0.75, which would take me to the end of the year and hopefully the Wegovy situation will be clearer by then.

I think that when I come off it I'm going to concentrate on maintaining the weight loss rather than pushing on with it.

I feel that if I can have 1900 calories or so daily I won't feel like I'm starving myself if I am sensible and continue with the high protein.

I'm worried that if I come off OZ and try to continue dieting I will just end up giving up as I have done so many times previously and then piling it back on.

FrogandToadAreFriends · 01/10/2023 21:45

Checking in. I've been on it for about 6.5 months and lost 40lbs, avg about 1.5 lbs a week but really I lost more early on, last 3 months avg more like .5-1lb a week. So not super fast! But I'm maintaining the losses, which i had never done before. My dosage was recently increased to 2mg as I was experiencing long plateaus and this week the losses have been more pronounced, I hope it keeps up. I would really love to lose another 20lbs by christmas! How is everyone else doing on their goals?

Karmakamelion · 01/10/2023 22:51

@SwimmingFree the sugar cravings and food noise is coming back on 1 mg. But as wergovy has made my mood less stable and my tiredness worse (although I've increased my water and that's maybe helping) AND the price I'm scared to go up to 1.7 mg
I really wish I had a better relationship with food and didn't have food noise. I am really getting worried about stopping eventually

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 02/10/2023 06:53

I'm back on 1mg after going back to 0.5 during the shortages. Like @FrogandToadAreFriends my weight loss slowed down but I never gained. I'm back to decent losses now.

SarahC50 · 02/10/2023 09:06

Juniper have said they hope to be able to supply 1mg ozempic in Nov. I'm torn as I've stayed on 0.5 and lost very slowly but I am so weary of waking up feeling sick and fatigued. I think I'll probably take a break or drop to 0.25mg maintenance dose for a few months. Good luck everyone x

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 02/10/2023 17:26

I hope everyone is OK. Has anyone had any luck buying O or W from QuickMeds lately? Am I right in thinking they still release new stock at 6pm daily? Thank you.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 02/10/2023 18:10

Update: I got 1mg W from QM just now.

1month · 02/10/2023 18:11

What does it actually do?

Is it just an appetite suppressant?

They've no 0.5mg there or anywhere 😞

spottedinthewilds · 02/10/2023 18:48

@whenlifegivesyou can you not get a 1mg and count the clicks?

I bought some 1.7mg this evening at 6.

Yes can I do 0.5mg off a 0.25mg pen?

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/10/2023 19:19

0.5 off a 0.25 pen means dialling it round twice and injecting twice.
0.5 off a 1mg pen means counting 37 clicks.

@whenlifegivesyou you can but will be very expensive. You want the bigger doses and cut them in half so they work out cheaper.

Omg I never thought of that! So the 1mg pens and use half the dose each time? How will I know though? How many clicks
