It seems like a dream from distant past when I was able to order Ozempic 1mg from Quick Meds for about £150 several months running!

mumwheresmyribena · 07/09/2023 11:57

Hi all, I've been mainly absent due to house move and now I've moved countries too! I'm still working my way through my assorted mg "stock". My current lifestyle isn't really conducive to much weightloss, bit I'm still maintaining or losing very slowly so all's good, though I'm not sure I'll be able to obtain more when I need it and my life calms down a bit and I can get back into an eating and exercise regimen but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
In the meantime, I came across this interesting NYT article this morming https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/17/health/weight-loss-drugs-obesity-ozempic-wegovy.html

If you hit the paywall, just pit the URL into www.archive.ph to unlock it 😉

I am falling apart and determined to get a quickmeds today.

Every morning I tell myself to wake up and act how I did when I had ozempic inside of me. I do joy last long.

My food noise is screaming.

HettaCr · 07/09/2023 12:33

Just received this in the post from QuickMeds. Can't fault them, they are quick in terms of delivery. Just need to finish my Ozempic pen before going onto Wegovy.

Fingers crossed for you @wearedoingthis. Try again this afternoon at 1pm to see if you can get a pen. They sell very quickly though, so make sure it's within the first 15mins.

Well done although at £250 a pen it's so expensive! Can you dial down the doses to make it last longer?

nebulae · 07/09/2023 12:57

You can use REPEAT5 to get £5 off at Quickmeds (every little helps). Presume will only work if you've ordered from them before though.

HettaCr · 07/09/2023 12:58

@leilani83 yes you can. It looks exactly like the Ozempic pen just slightly longer and with the exact dosage for the month.

I did forget about that! 😩

wearedoingthis · 07/09/2023 13:08

Sadly all still saying out of stock for all pens

(Quickmeds)

I will keep refreshing for a bit

MotherofTerriers · 07/09/2023 13:10

I've been trying but nothing from Quickmeds. Will have another go next week

Thanks, that's good at least! So you could use it to last for a couple of months at 0.5mg a dose.

HettaCr · 07/09/2023 13:14

@leilani83 that's my plan since I can't get Ozempic anywhere else. Though I am planning to titrate up to 0.75 first to make it last longer because I have stagnated on 0.5mg.

SarahC50 · 07/09/2023 14:47

@HettaCr thats exciting it has arrived. I can't find it anywhere it seems as rare as ozempic 1mg x

FarAndAway456 · 07/09/2023 17:47

I have got some 1mg Wegovy from Quickmeds my advice is:
do the consultation by quarter to 1 or 6

refresh, refresh, refresh as soon as you have done it.

The stock appears a bit early, once it is there buy, buy, buy.

don’t forget your discount code

They have become much stricter with rules and I had a several questions on WhatsApp and a phone call. I actually really appreciated this though. I had a good chat about it all and it felt like someone cared for the first time.

I found out the following:
They have 1.7 and 2.4 in stock (a little bit) but they are only going to release the higher doses after a phone conversation with clients already on 1mg.

They expect the supplies for the UK to last around somewhere between 2 and 8 weeks.

They will stop supplying it once your BMI is between about 21 and 24.

They really don’t approve of click dosing.

They really want to push the lifestyle changes alongside the medication.

It would be great to have a monthly consultation and weigh in with someone like this.

Karmakamelion · 07/09/2023 18:16

I'm down to 83.5 kgs! I was also lucky enough to get wergovy from quick meds. I have about .5 of ozempic left in a pen . Do I use it and start on 1 mg of wergovy the week after or shall I just start the wergovy. I really don't seem to be able to make decisions atm...

Thanks for the advice - I will try again tomorrow (I did bang on 1pm and 6pm today)

I was so much productive in life when my food noise wasn't there. I have gone back to sneaking food and nipping to the shop .

I am determined to be stronger tomorrow.

Peridot1 · 07/09/2023 21:35

@FarAndAway456 - it’s quite encouraging that Quick Meds are providing such support and information. That is what we all need really.

wearedoingthis · 08/09/2023 06:11

Has anyone seen that mounjaro has just been approved in the uk

And should(!?!) be available from October

May bring down ozempic price?? Maybe when supplies settle

Zempy · 08/09/2023 08:54

I’m back from holiday and managed to put four pounds on! The 0.25 just wasn’t working for me any more.

So late last night I took the last 0.25 from my pen, plus some leftovers. Probably around 0.375 in total. Then I have a 0.5 pen. Then hoping for some miracle to occur so I can get ongoing supplies…

BrendaLee · 08/09/2023 09:23

I’ve just ordered a 1mg Ozempic pen from Rightangled so hoping that will arrive safely. Still showing up as available…

WhyDoesItAlways · 08/09/2023 10:02

@sarahc50 I weighed myself today first time since coming back off holiday and was only up by 0.5lbs. I was so shocked I checked twice, put the scales away and then got them back out to check again! Very pleased with that result!

Cherryonthetop2019 · 08/09/2023 10:06

Mounjarno has only been approved for use in treatment of diabetes. It is still being assessed for use as a weight loss drug with a decision expected May 2024 on that.

Zempy · 08/09/2023 10:10

Thanks @BrendaLee I was too late for a 1mg but I bit the bullet and ordered a 0.5 pen as I have seen them priced at £350 so £250 didn’t seem too bad.

They didn’t like my uploaded passport so are manually verifying that, but hopefully it’s all OK.

I feel a little nauseous and no appetite today so I’ll stay on 0.375 as long as I can before increasing. Ideally I would like to get to the end of the year and then review, by which time we might have reasonable access to Wegovy.

Cantonet · 08/09/2023 10:24

@Zempy the 0.25 mg pen has exactly the same amount in as the 0.5 pen!
4 × 0.5 MLS &:it's cheaper.
