I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

lizandlulu · 12/03/2008 12:58

well done shortandsweet, thats great

i think there is 5 points on a magnum. you are better off with a solero which are about 2 i think

the skinny cow lollys are good. the choc ones are 1 point each and taste quite nice.

ShortandSweet · 12/03/2008 13:44

Hey Disco, I don't have that shopping guide for you. I have one from Oct 06 & thought I would have got a free one at the new class today but didn't.

Sorry, but ebay probably has loads on there

OP posts:
DiscoDizzy · 12/03/2008 13:56

Thanks for looking shortandsweet. I'll have a look on ebay.

ShortandSweet · 12/03/2008 16:24

Disco I have just come across a spare points finder if you want it.

DiscoDizzy · 12/03/2008 17:25

Thanks very much shortandsweet, i've managed to get what I need off ebay. Wish me luck, i'm weighing myself in the morning and although i've been good all week staying within my points for 6 out of 7 days, i've just got this sneaky suspicion that i won't have lost anything. This may be because i'm due my monthly which always bloats me. Will report back in the morning.

Joash · 12/03/2008 17:29

ooh I start weightwatchers next tuesday - as a prerequisite to (hopefully) getting approved for a gastric band. Can i join you?

ShortandSweet · 12/03/2008 17:49

Hi Joash, your more than welcome to join in.

Disco if you change your mind let me know, it would only cost the price of a stamp to post it so I wouldn't charge you anything.

lizandlulu · 12/03/2008 18:23

hiya joash, my friend is waiting to have a gastric band, she should be getting a date in the next few weeks. i know another bloke who has had one and he lost about 12 stone!

Joash · 12/03/2008 23:31

thank you Shortandsweet

lizandlulu - let me know how your friend goes on. I have been told I am too young (i am 44), don't weigh enough (I weigh around 27 stone) and have no weight related illnesses - so will probably be turned down.

lizandlulu · 13/03/2008 09:51

my friend is 28 and around 28 stone, but i am not sure if she is having it done privately if that makes a difference.

ShortandSweet · 13/03/2008 09:56

Joash if you stick with us and any time you feel tempted let us know and we will help you to get your weight down.

I really recommend you write everything down that passes your mouth. I hadn't done it for a while and lost nothing but this week I lost 3lb and I think thats why.

OP posts:
Joash · 13/03/2008 10:43

Thank You - I will be back next tuesday once I have my info, etc

jaz236 · 13/03/2008 11:11

Im new to this how does this work loosing weight on line, although is there anyone in the Stockport are who fancys going to weight watchers??? QUICK BEFORE SUMMER GETS HERE!!

DiscoDizzy · 13/03/2008 12:23

Well I weighed myself this morning and i've lost 2lbs. I'm really pleased as I thought my pre-period tum would cause a bit of havoc, or maybe thats next week. To celebrate i've had some banana cake and i'm going to have a full fat cheese sandwich for lunch. Can't wait. DH has done WW for the last 5 days and he lost 6lbs though he has a lot more to lose than me. I think i'll start recording his weight loss here.

DiscoDizzy - 5lbs total loss
Mr DiscoDizzy - 6lbs total loss

ShortandSweet · 13/03/2008 12:23

Hi Jaz, by online do you mean on mumsnet or weight watchers

lizandlulu · 14/03/2008 14:05

how is everyone this week? i went to a restaurant for dinner yesterday, had ribs for main with no starter or pudding but felt really guilty! i ordered chips too but they came overdone so only had about 5.
went to the gym and aqua aerobics last night, and been good today, so far!

smartiejake · 14/03/2008 16:21

Hi. I'm feeling smug today- felt "thinner when I woke up and had a sneaky weigh- (I know I'm not supposed to!) and have lost another 1lb so that's 5lbs now in 10 days. Also went for mile swim and long brisk walk with the dog today.

Really feel like I am getting in control of my eating and because of the points counting can still have what I always consider to be be a bit naughty. Not feeling so hungry either.

lizandlulu · 16/03/2008 20:59

i have not had a good day today. went to the chinese buffet at dinner time. didnt have loads of food, but had a bannana fritter for afters, then dd had some minstrels and i have been picking at them all afternoon. had chicken kebeb for tea which is not too bad, but feel really fat!

ShortandSweet · 17/03/2008 09:13

Lizandlulu at least you had a big blow out and you can get back on it today.

I made a red thai curry on Sat night so loaded with points but was soooooooooo yummy. Been really good the rest of the time. Hopefully I will lose something this Wed.

OP posts:
mammya · 17/03/2008 14:44

Oh dear, I wasn't so good last week and didn't track points properly. Result: no weight loss.
Back to serious tracking this week, I really want some result next monday! [resolute emoticon]

lizandlulu · 17/03/2008 17:06

just thought i would update you on the cider vineger. well it lasted about 4 days!!
my dh said it worked at first, as it made him go to the loo, but after 4 days it made him feel sick when he had it

fool.

so i have some going if anyone wants it

mammya · 17/03/2008 20:34

Cider vinegar makes a very good salad dressing though, it's also excellent for the hair as a rinsing aid, it makes it very shiny, and I've been told it's also an effective treatment for headlice. So you might want to keep it and use it anyway!

lizandlulu · 17/03/2008 20:39

surely if you rinse your hair with it, you stink

i bought some oreo's from asda yesterday as my treat for tomorrow after getting weighted. they are calling me from the cupboard.
