I'm interested to know what others have struggled with - because it can be so tough sometimes - has anyone used any good products that can help?

Thanks

Yummy food

GreenMeany · 05/08/2023 09:54

Food addiction/ mental dependancy on food.

DustyLee123 · 05/08/2023 09:57

I love food. Chocolate, cake, sweets, roast dinners, stews with dumplings, puddings with custard. It’s all too good and life is too short.

IsItThough · 05/08/2023 09:58

ADHD - binge eating/stimulus craving

carwashthecat · 05/08/2023 09:59

Sunscummailfail · 05/08/2023 09:59

My stomach.

Krustykrabpizza · 05/08/2023 09:59

Food is nice mainly

efeslight · 05/08/2023 09:59

I have never considered this before, but the main thing is me...the choices I make every day and lack of commitment to myself

BCBird · 05/08/2023 10:00

Apathy and bereavement. Lost 10 stone and have put 4 back on in last two years. Am.having more pain now so need to sort it.good luck everyone.

Squirrelsnut · 05/08/2023 10:01

Lipoedema. Gluten intolerance. Obesegenic culture.

TakenRoot · 05/08/2023 10:03

Greed and lack of will power. It really is, for me.

Also not being busy. I lack accountability to anyone else for my time. Few deadlines etc, so too much time to be thinking of the ice cream in the fridge etc.

I need to Keep Busy, away from the fridge, and Not Buy The Stuff in the first place.

LinMortisanass · 05/08/2023 10:03

Can't motivate myself to exercise. Also like crisps too much.

cpphelp · 05/08/2023 10:04

Wine and takeaways

WhoHidTheCoffee · 05/08/2023 10:05

Having to cater for others as well as myself. It would be much easier to buy and prepare healthy stuff I like for meals if I only had to consider my own eating habits and tastes. Having to cook and cater for DH and the DC definitely does not help.

Lack of commitment to self is important for me, too.

I do need to cut down a lot on both sugar and cheese to address a bit of a cholesterol issue. Properly nurturing myself is not having a mini Magnum for a bit of a treat. (Mini because I thought it was better than buying full size....you know the story...only small, have another one...)

BlueRidgeMountain · 05/08/2023 10:07

Frankly the amount of shit I’m dealing with at the moment. I cannot add one more thing to have to think about, so I don’t.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/08/2023 10:08

Antidepressants

DustyLee123 · 05/08/2023 10:09

No body else in the house wants to eat brown rice or pasta, and I’m not using two rings to cook the same thing, so I eat white.

crew2022 · 05/08/2023 10:19

Good: snacks mainly. Sugar addiction. Like to drink socially but once I've had some alcohol I eat even more rubbish than normal. No willpower.

Inkpotlover · 05/08/2023 10:30

Booze. If I don't drink, I eat well. A few glasses of wine and the next day I'm troughing for England.

NouveauNom · 05/08/2023 10:31

ADHD / constant snacking. Luckily exercise is my longstanding hyperfixation otherwise I'd have a problem.

SirChenjins · 05/08/2023 10:32

The fact that I love food - simple as. I probably need to lose a stone which is not much I know, but getting it off the last time was not fun.

BaconAndAvocado · 05/08/2023 10:38

Complete lack of self-discipline and menopausal addiction to sugar.

NoTeaNoShade · 05/08/2023 10:41

Mindset. I'm currently using food/drink as a weapon against myself and I'm unsure (unwilling) to change 😕

Xrays · 05/08/2023 10:42

I like food too much. I don’t enjoy exercise, apart from walking which I do try and do more of. I don’t really care what I look like so not motivated that way. My health is bad through multiple chronic autoimmune issues anyway so being thin or fat doesn’t really make any difference.
