evening all

thank you for thinking of me susie but i don't think i will join you on slimming world...i had decided in the car on the way back from the IL's that rosemary (my heads too big for my body) conley was what worked best for me in the past....so my plan will be to dig out my old RC stuff AND (argh!) to get my relatively skinny friend to weigh me each week....

big pom pom shakes coming over to you though for making a decision and then taking it by the scruff of the neck! (and am secretly glad you are not doing the CS diet as there is enough pollution your way as it is )

discoverlife, can we see a pic of the dress....pref with you in it being flung up high....

bel....just had a nosey peek on your page....you are gorgeous woman! (said in a heterosexual, merely observational, kind of way)...BTW have bought matching underwear set...

susiecutiemincepies · 25/02/2008 21:44

No worries polly I just thought as huge amounts of exercise are pretty much out for both of us, that it might be a good one for you too. Good luck on RC though! brilliant plan, AND HUGE pom pom shakes for you too love! We're all here, rooting for you. you CAN do it

katy I was just thinking about you whilst i was settling isobel to sleep. Is it your Dh that works nights? How about you de-camp to the sofa for a few nights, and really crack the sleeping issue with your DD? If you follow the plan I did, i would be prepared to make you a bet that you will be done and dusted within 4 days, maybe less? If you are really strict about the timings, it really really does work. I'd not have believed anyone who told me, before I did it with Izzy, as she was such a nightmare! Tonight, I even put her to bed and she didn't even cry, at all, not even a teeny bit. she woke up about an hour later, and just sat up and flicked through her books and 'read' outloud, I popped in, told her to lie down and go back to sleep. She did! I was amazed!!

pollywobbledoodle · 25/02/2008 21:52

susie care to join me in a nightly hand jive ?

susiecutiemincepies · 25/02/2008 21:59

faaaat too energetic for me tonight I"m just going ot have a long hot bath in a blue fizzy bath bomb ball thing from Lush. the water goes all blue and lovely... My friend bought me a huge bag full of them, must have cost a bomb ( excuse the pun )

might catch you all a bit later, if not, tomorrow... be good, and remember again...

little pickers wear big knickers

Night time is the WORST time for picking in my experience. take care slimmer ladies.

susiecutiemincepies · 25/02/2008 22:53

[oops] I did of course mean FAR too energetic not fat... though a suitable typo!

katy Just to clarify, I did of course mean, that you sleep on your sofa, and leave your little lady, in her cot in your bedroom... i'm sure you knew what I meant though! That way, you could do it quite easily I reckon. Whilst your 'd'H is at work

I nearly fell asleep in the bath just now, it really worried me!

pollywobbledoodle · 25/02/2008 23:28

susie do not drown in the bath before losing weight

liked the typo!

susiecutiemincepies · 25/02/2008 23:29

Well, at least i would not go down the plug hole at this weight, but if I reach my goal.. no WHEN I reach my goal, it might be a possibility!!

discoverlife · 26/02/2008 00:24

I went right off Rosemary Conoly, when I found out she had 'struggled' with her weight for most of her younger years, a total of '8LBs', up and down. '8LBs' come on!some on here have done that in one week. i do like her exercises but I don't think she can really know the mentallity and needs of someone who needs to lose quarter or half of their bodyweight and will take 2 years to do so.

katylessbumpy · 26/02/2008 07:42

dd slept through!!!
i don't know if she saw your threat of me sleeping on the sofa susie but i put her to bed at 9pm and didn't hear again until 7.15 am!!!
i feel alive
i am going to definately try your approach now i know her teeth are through, her thrush has cleared and she is no longer smelling like sugar puffs.
i'm feeling so positive today.i can't wait for my weigh in tomorrow.i really feel like i have lost this week.

how's everyone else feeling? x

Jahan · 26/02/2008 09:10

Morning all.
I am feeling v. good this morning too. I think the sunshine really helps as well as having some good sleep!

Katy - Yay for sleeping through!

Bel - I think buying a dress a couple of sizes smaller is a great incentive. You have to hang it outside your wardrobe though so you can see it whenever you are in your bedroom.
I have lots of lovely size 10 clothes that I've not worn, including some gorgeous underwear and nightwear sets. Can't wait to get into them!

belcantavinissima · 26/02/2008 09:38

morning!

feeling jolly happy today because last night at ww i have lost 3 and a half pounds this week!!! yay! only one more lb and i have lost my first stone
also last night, and this is totally off subject, i helped a new mum over the phone with continuing breastfeeding and not switching to formula as her stupid midwife suggested to her . i used to be a community peer breastfeeding supporter but havent done it for a couple of yrs so have this morning been invited to go and do a talk to an antenatal class so feeling v positive and altruistic this morning lol

hope you all have a great fat-free low cal day in the sunshine

fedda · 26/02/2008 10:33

Hi, girls. Yes, the weather is lovely today. I had grapes before school run, then as I was making vegie soup. Susie, I'm using some cabbage in my soup . You know, I fell asleep several times in a bath because I often stay up late and each time i felt really frightened. I wonder how ofent people fall asleep in a bath. O, I want to have bath now. I wonder if there is enough hot water. I'll just swich off my soup before jumping in a bath. Speak to you later.

discoverlife · 26/02/2008 11:14

I started my exercise regime today and went for a walk in the country. I knew I should have worn my wellies. I am sure you lose more calories through doing the 'sluuuurp pop' walk through over ankle mud than normal. Especially when you fall to your knee's because the mud wouldn't give your trainer back. Then it refused to give my sock back. That mud is cold.
But I am definatly polishing my rather tarnished halo this time.

Anyway its about time I looked around, we have lived here for 8 months and I have never gone further than the end of our drive (to put out the bin bags) before this. Its beautiful countryside around here, and I don't know any of it. So my exercise regime is to find out more about the area. But tommor I will either wear wellies or walk the roads.

LoveMyGirls · 26/02/2008 12:02

Good to hear you all so positive, i'm being really goods too, almost went swimming last nigth but they shut the pool so I had to come home! Who can convince me i sdhoulsd go tonight insdtead? (sorry about typing i spilt a drink on the keyboard!)

I'm thinking 9lbs off in my first month if I can do that for the next few monthsd i'll be at goal!!! size 12 would be nice but size 10 would make me very happy!

Mine · 26/02/2008 12:12

Hi there
I had my first weigh in to with WW and i lost 2 1/2lbs!!!!
I'm so pleased, i just hope i can continue to lose weight.

Feel very motivated now.
The sunny weather defo helps the mood and draws me outside instead of the fridge!

MrsFish · 26/02/2008 12:33

Congrats

I have just had a culinary disaster, my niece wants me to make her a barbie cake for her b'day, so I borrowed a tin from MiL which is like a deep bowl to use for the skirt. I went to get it out of the aga to check it and I knocked it over... all the gooey uncooked mix from inside just spilt out all over the bottom of the aga so I need to make another one now, in the meantime I put what was left back in the oven to finish cooking and I have just ate a load of it don't know what possessed me seeing as I have to weigh in tomorrow. Must do another half an hour on the XT to try and combat some of the calories

Mine · 26/02/2008 12:44

i would have done the same... its like i'm possessed when i get near cakes... cooked or half cooked it really doesn;t matter!!

impressed you cane make party cakes though!!

Mine · 26/02/2008 12:44

fedda you sound more positive today.

everyone is doing really well.let's keep it up then we can do a mumsnet bikini calendar

OP posts:
Mine · 26/02/2008 13:39

sod the bikini.. once i lose all my baby weight i'm parading around naked!!
My theory is that i've worked too hard to cover it up, i might just go crrraaazzyyy!!!

My dh might have a problem with this though......

katylessbumpy · 26/02/2008 13:54

lol don't think your dh will have a problem with you being naked
i know mine wouldn't!
one thing i have noticed today.when i got dressed this morning i could see my c-section scars in the mirror as my belly wasn't hanging over

OP posts:
Mine · 26/02/2008 14:10

i can't wait to see mine without pulling up my tummy!
Sounds like your weightloss is going really well Katy.

Does you scar still feel a bit numb?? mine does, and occasionally a bit painful.... mum says its normal though and will eventually go away.

ds is stirring, must dash...
