mrs fish, sunday is the day of rest doncha know

MrsFish · 24/02/2008 20:22

Good excuse

susiecutiemincepies · 24/02/2008 20:52

Fedda, its not that cabbage soup is 'magic' its that it is a very low calorie soup. The soup is also incredibly filling.

Then with the rest of the plan for the week, you have low calories, and totally detox from everything. Its is a great detox diet, and weight loss is a bonus.

On each day that something is reintroduced, your body is beginning to crave and want that mineral/vitamin etc that is in it that day ( having done it, I can vouch for that)

Anyway... i've had a good day today. woke up feeling great. DO made the most of it and did alot of small tasks i cannot normally do. Then I took Isobel to the swings and she loved every second of it. I felt tearful and guilty that I can't do it more often for her. Came back and cooked fresh homemade chicken burgers ( cooked in the oven ) and ate mine with carrots broccoli and mung beans. it was a lovely meal

I had wholemeal bread and jam sarni ( no butter) at lunch time, for a change from the slimfast today.

needless to say, i've over done it on the walking and housework, and am now urgently waiting for some morphine to work, so I can actually stand up from this chair... thank gor the laptop was on the table when i sat down, or it'd be a long and painful and boring wait!

hmmm, this is not good... hope you are all ok??

fedda · 24/02/2008 21:34

I can only say again, sorry and good luck, Susie.

katylessbumpy · 24/02/2008 21:41

susiecutiemincepies · 24/02/2008 21:49

erm, its ok Fedda, you just sounded really dismissive.
I thought we were all here to support each other regardless of what we think about what everyone's doing... but its ok.

I dont care if no-one else is going to do it, I will I think, in a week or two... and I'll let you all know how I get on, although you may be able to hear me from your 'puters ( thanks for the link polly, might well need that! )

polly fancy being on the Ils computer, and not spending the entire time talking to them! I'm shocked!

mrsfish you sound like you are doing SO well!!! keep it up lovely, you can DO this!!! well done

lovemygirls That is a really good, realistic goal I think. So doable of you set your mind to it. I am hoping i'll find the will power tomorrow morning to really really make a huge effort.

Am thinking again, about Slimming world... the thought makes me a bit miserable tbh.. but, i know it worked for me before, and really well. So maybe the soup for a week then, on to SW. Will have to do it online though as cant get out reguarly enough to classes.

katy glad you had a fab night out. I really need one at the moment. Really need a blow out!

I'm thinking of getting mum to have little girl for the night next saturday and me and Dh goiing to cinema and for a meal... although, the last 4 times we have tried this, we have 'popped' into pub for a quick pint and ended up there at closing... then come home, with pizza, tripping through the door to a pissed off babysitter ( mum of my friend the hospital chaplin) We just stand there giggling like naughty teenagers.

Infact, last time, as soon as mum left, a practically ripped DHs clothes off and we ended up in the kitchen last thing I remember him saying was ( in his best, slightly piss taking authoritative site manager voice) " I've isolated the mains for health and safety purposes " I nearly wet myself laughing, as he switched the cooker off at the plug... TMI???

fedda · 24/02/2008 23:31

I just feel so bad if I upset anyone, that's all. I always blame myself and while I'm trying to be nice to people occasionally anyhow I manage to upset someone and i feel like crying i'm here to support everyone

discoverlife · 24/02/2008 23:38

LOOK WHAT I HAVE FOUND.....

www.sparkpeople.com

Its an online health/fitness programme that is totally free. You set up your personal page and tell it how much you want to weigh and if a time limit by when. I have a date in June 2009 to lose my weight now, its great having a target isn't it? I only found out this weekend that my cousin is getting married then, and it is going to be the swankiest wedding this family has seen for 3 generations, if her Mum and Dad have anything to say about it. So I got this planner to work out what I need to do and it said if I manage to lose 2lb per week I will be at my weight 2 months before the due date. Whoo hoo!
It has suggested baby steps for the first few weeks of exercise and lifestyle changes and an online menu/calorie counter, being american it doesn't have pasty but it does have cheese and puff pastry so it can be worked. The exercise for this first week it is sugesting 10 minutes walking per day, but I will be doing heavy gardening for most of this week again so it should help.

susiecutiemincepies · 24/02/2008 23:50

heavy gardnening is a really good calorie shifter you know just dont go climbing over any fences this time

fedda its ok, really it is stop being so down about yourself.
Takes alot more than that to upset me!

You know, you often, if not always, come across a being very down about your self.

Whats up? you dont have to talk, at all, of course.. but you know we are all here if you want to. You seem to have such a low opinion of yourself love. there's really no need here.

Jahan · 25/02/2008 11:01
