Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

@ClaireFrasersHair you will. I've lost nearly three stone of menopausal fat whilst also being chronically ill and on tonnes of meds. I stuck to the calorie suggestion of my juniper and the only exercise I did was walking. Good luck you can do it x

Can I join? I've just started WL medications from a weight loss clinic. I decided to start with the tablets first to see how I get on then the injections afterwards.

I'm on phentermine and started yesterday. Wow, I'm incredibly impressed, no hunger all day, loads of energy, like I'd downed 3 energy drinks. Spent the day deep cleaning the house and didn't stop (unusual for me).
I logged my food and drink and it was under 800cals. The difficulty sleeping was tough last night though.

Are you in the UK? I believe phentermine is illegal here, as well as many other countries as it has been linked to cardiovascular issues.

I can recommend Ozempic or Wegovy as an alternative 😄

I am in the UK and was prescribed it by a clinic nurse.

I'm on the waiting list for the next gen injection, I can't remember what it's called but starts with an M.

Im thinking of getting of Ozempic after about 10 months of being on and off, but worried the weight may come back.
Interested in hearing about other people's experiences after getting off. How long were you on Ozempic for and what happened after you got off completely?

It's not illegal under medical supervision
There's actually quite a lot of information on its safety which isn't particularly concerning for short term use

Hello - what is the difference between the 0.25 and 0.5 pens? I have been on 0.25 and due to move up to 0.5 but the 0.5 pen is £50 more expensive than the 0.25 pen. Could I use the 0.25 pen but do 2 doses each week? I have extra needles. Or will I then not be able to move up to 1 if I haven’t bought a 0.5 pen?

Hi has anyone gone from Ozempic to Wegozy. Can you just take it one week after like you normally would?

You effectively get double the amount in the 0.5mg pen if you are currently on a 0.25mg dose.

Some people buy the next pen dose up and just count the clicks as it is more cost effective. There are lots of online charts showing how many clicks to do - for example a 0.5mg dose is 36 clicks.

I've recently moved up to the 1mg pen and I'm finding that I'm bruising after injecting. Anyone else has this?

Gosh well I'm now on 0.5mg I notice I've gone off booze tonight I turned down champagne which had never happened ever 🙄😂 anyone else?

@whenlifegivesyou Yes! I went off alcohol when I started 0.5. Good job too as I was getting a bit too fond of a couple of glasses of wine several evenings a week…

I was quite shocked at how many clicks and how long it was in for! I expect a bruise tomorrow!!

I’ve collected my next pen but at the higher dose. Haven’t posted in a long time.

Not sure who asked but I did 4 weeks on 0.5mg Ozempic with juniper then went back up to 1mg but with wegovy.

ill be injecting the 1.7mg on Tuesday. Finally seen the scales move after about 4 weeks of static.

I’m now 14stone9lbs but got 3 stone until I’m near target But with a total loss of 2stone 13 since March.

Hi I'm back with a name change. I started in late April and lost 1.5 stone on .025 and .5 up to September. Then couldn't get anymore.
At first I maintained, then noticed a couple of pounds creeping on, but I probably panicked unnecessarily. Health express emailed and offered me 1mg Wegovy so I've just ordered. I'm planning to count ticks and do 2 weeks at 0.25 and 2 at 0.5 before moving up, mainly to stop myself going into food free fall before Xmas. Health Express are charging £199

How many weeks will that last you for £199 @FedUpofPeepShow ?

I reckon 6/7 weeks as I'm not doing the full dose, but working up
