Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

I purchased ozempic 0.25 took two doses and then got covid and felt so ill I stopped taking it and ended up throwing it away that was back in august. However because I was on a subscription I received my 0.5 pen. I haven’t opened it yet and it’s been in the fridge since September. So my question i would it be ok to open and start taking the 0.5 even though it would be pretty much like starting at 0.5 as it’s been so long since my body had 0.25 due to my sickness? Or should I try and get (which seems impossible now) another 0.25 and start again? Nb this is for weight loss purpose. Thank you!

I would use your 0.5 pen but take a 0.25 dose from it for the first 4 weeks. Ozempic can give people side effects and as you were ill with covid last time you took it, some of your symptoms may be attributed to the ozempic so I would start slow and let it build up in your system.

Hi does anyone know whether it's ok to switch between Wegovy and Ozempic, taking the same dose of course. As it's the same drug I assume they are interchangeable? I managed to get hold of a month's supply of Wegovy recently, but am not confident of finding a second month's supply at a reasonable price - Numan, for example, are selling it at £349 a month which I can't stretch to (Paid £250 last time). Also, can anyone tell me where they are now sourcing either drug from and what price they are paying for it? Thank you!

That’s good to hear. I have lost about 20 pounds since starting at the beginning of July but am pretty stuck now, and still another seventeen pounds to lose to get to my goal weight of 10 and a half stone at 5 ft 5.

I increased from 0.25 to 0.375 but it’s not really cutting it so I’m going up to 0.5 now. To be fair I responded amazingly well and have been lucky to lose so much on ten weeks of minimum dosage.

Have you just been on the 0.25 dose for the past few months?

Zempy · 10/10/2023 16:59

Yes I did 0.25 for 7/8 weeks then 0.375 for 2 weeks. I lost so much so quickly that I luckily didn’t have to increase as expected.

Funnily enough, the 0.5 has kicked in today (took it Friday night) and I feel sick and no appetite-hooray!!

Kitsmummy · 10/10/2023 18:18

Hi, sorry I haven't read the whole thread but I've been on Ozempic since May and I've just looked at my juniper account and it says it's due to finish on 11th October, with no more refills due.

This is a disaster, I still need it! Is there a way of getting them to carry on supplying me? Or can I/should I go elsewhere?

That's great (not the feeling sick obvs)

Whisper23 · 10/10/2023 20:58

@Kitsmummy Don't panic, just order some from Quickmeds or Rightangled. I got a 1mg wegovy from Quickmeds today, £240 inc delivery.

egowise · 10/10/2023 22:52

Managed to get ozempic via manual with 30% off.

I've put 5lb back in since aug and not being able to get any. Hoping to lose this at least through the month.

FrancisSeaton · 11/10/2023 14:20

Ughhh I tried the tablets but I just couldn't swallow them . I have decided to order the jabs instead but obviously can't get a refund now even for the unopened box - if anyone fancies buying two boxes minus one tab of 3mg please let me know

JaffacakeJanine · 12/10/2023 21:58

@FrancisSeaton the pills taste hideous don't they! I usually put the whole water allowance in my mouth first with my head back, then drop the pill into the water and swallow! You could also try chopping them into two?

Was the 30% off with Manual a code that can be used by multiple people? If yes would you mind sharing please?

This is nuts prices are just going up and up

Bunnybuttkins · 18/10/2023 19:27

Hope this helps someone. Wish I had a discount code before I bought ozempic but here is a code they have given me after I had already purchased.

Hi all, I’m due to start ozempic this week and I’m terrified. I’ve tried so much for so long, I’m 4 st overweight, prediabetic, perimenopausal and insulin resistant (doctor prescribed it). I’m scared because if this doesn’t work I don’t know what else to do

Zempy · 22/10/2023 20:35

What are you actually terrified of? It not working? That’s possible but unusual. The only way to find out is to give it a go.

Nichebitch · 22/10/2023 20:38

yes, scared of it not working because I’ve put a lot of hope on this. I know, I just have to wait. Just a bit miserable, I’ve been fighting this weight crap for decades and I’m exhausted

Peridot1 · 23/10/2023 08:40

@Nichebitch - good luck with it. Follow the dosing regime as recommended. Drink lots of water. Up your protein and fibre. Don’t be surprised if you don’t feel anything with your initial 0.25 doses. Some people don’t get much change in that dosage but others do. We all react differently to this medication.

FrancisSeaton · 24/10/2023 14:01

I had my first injection on Sunday night 0.25
I don't feel any change in appetite but feel a bit travel sick- is that standard?

Peridot1 · 24/10/2023 15:03

To be honest @FrancisSeaton I don’t think anything is standard really. Everyone reacts so differently. But don’t stress you aren’t feeling any appetite reduction yet. I tend to feel a bit queasy if I need to eat.

Hi everyone. Thanks for sharing all your tips and experience, it's really helpful.
I started ozempic last week. My next injection is tomorrow. I haven't experienced any appetite reduction yet or any affects at all. In fact, I'm pretty certain I have gained weight this week. Has this happened anyone else?
I'm not panicked yet, as I know it can take time to build in your system, but I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same experience?
Thanks

Peridot1 · 24/10/2023 15:45

Not quite @ClaireFrasersHair but I lost in my first week and gained in my second!

SarahC50 · 24/10/2023 16:46

@FrancisSeaton yes to the nausea I've had it every single day of the six months I've been on ozempic. Queasy and nauseous but for me worth it x

ClaireFrasersHair · 24/10/2023 20:22

Thanks for your reply @Peridot1

Here's hoping the following weeks are better for us all.
I'm really hoping to make a sizeable dent in my perimenopausal 2 stone, and counting, gain.
