Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

@ShortLass yes. Had no problems.

2kidsintow · 12/11/2023 21:05

Ordered. Then had the order instantly cancelled. They said it was due to a supply issue, but hadn't said on their website that they were out of stock.

merrymelodies · 13/11/2023 03:34

Is there any reason why, when increasing the dosage, we go from .25 to .50 but not to .75?

Peridot1 · 13/11/2023 08:52

@merrymelodies - mainly because that is what the manufacturer recommends and how the drug has been tested. Saying that some people do go to .75 before going up to 1mg and it certainly wouldn’t harm you.

I'm doing 0.75 by using a 1mg pen and counting the clicks. A huge jump to 1 gave me the horrible sulphur burps so I'm compromising.

whenlifegivesyou · 14/11/2023 19:06

Hey here's a thought: if ozempic works to curb appetite and slim ppl down (and curb drinking alcohol which it does in me) - then how come the nhs isn't issuing this free for everyone out of their BMI? It would save the nhs so much money. I don't know if this pen is very pricey for nhs though. I know it hurts my wallet 😬

merrymelodies · 15/11/2023 06:23

I'm doing .75 now and it's perfect. Smile

Peridot1 · 15/11/2023 08:17

@whenlifegivesyou - I’d say partly because it’s expensive, partly because it’s a drug and all drug come with side effects some of them dangerous and partly because although it works really well for some people it doesn’t work for everyone. It’s also a relatively new drug so long term effects are really known. The appetite suppression wears off and it effects blood sugar so not suitable for everyone.

It's also supply, which given how NICE and the NHS work is a reason not to adopt it wholesale yet.

RausageSoul · 15/11/2023 14:44

Hi guys! Rightangled sent me a pre Black Friday code for 10% off. Got a 1mg oxen pic pen for £225 delivered.

Sorry meant to share: B10CK

Nichebitch · 15/11/2023 23:06

can someone tell me how to inject 2 doses with the 0.25 pen? I have loads left and moving to 0.50 next week. I read about “clicks” but you’re supposed just to put the pen in 0.25 and click once? 🤔Sorry if I’m being dumb

I just leave the needle inserted in me after the first 0.25 dose, fully turn the dial again and push the button again for another 0.25 dose to take me to 0.5.

NigellaAwesome · 28/11/2023 20:40

Does anyone know the best deals at the moment? I see right angles have a 2.4mg wegovy pen for £349. Is that good value?

NigellaAwesome · 29/11/2023 19:17

Just an update, Pharmacy 2 U have 2.4mg pens of Wegovy for £272 inc postage. I thought that was quite good value considering I paid £254 for a 0.5mg pen a few months ago.

Kfjsjdbd · 30/11/2023 15:33

I’ve started on 1.7mg Wegovy. It’s not having any worse side effects than Ozempic. But I have also plateaued for at least the last 6 weeks. I’ve lost 30lbs in total since Feb with basically no effort. Currently 131lbs. Would like to get down to 125lbs.

Nichebitch · 30/11/2023 16:40

I’m on my second 0.5 ozempic week and I’m not feeling massive changes to my hunger. I’ve lost 5 pounds in the last 2 months because I’m being careful, but I’m not seeing the ozempic effect - I should probably have by now? I’m insulin resistant and prediabetic, if that makes a difference

Zempy · 30/11/2023 16:44

@Nichebitch I plateaued all the way through 0.5 and even 0.75mg.

It's only since going up to 1mg I am back to the same effects as when I started on 0.25mg, slight nausea and wonderful lack of appetite.

Nichebitch · 30/11/2023 17:14

Thank you. It looks like it really varies from person to person. Might I ask how long have you been on it and how much you’ve lost?
I didn’t know anyone on a 0.75 dose

Zempy · 30/11/2023 17:52

I started on 0.25 in July and had an immediate and intense response. I was losing 3-5 pounds a week for about six weeks but then the effects started wearing off so I went up to 0.375mg (by counting clicks) but that had no impact so I went up to 0.5 mg. I felt hungry regularly and lost no weight for a month.

So I tried 0.75mg (counting clicks) but that didn’t work either so I’m on 1mg now and back to losing weight.

Honestly, everyone responds differently

Nichebitch · 30/11/2023 18:59

Thank you, that’s encouraging!

liz4change · 01/12/2023 08:09

@Nichebitch as @Zempy says responses are very individual. I've lost 14 kg or 31 lbs over 6 months mostly on 0.25 and then 0.5. Things slowed around the 4 month mark but i only had one week where I plateaued after which I managed to get a 1mg pen and am back on track. 3 kg to go and then I plan to taper down and focus on maintaining.

Nichebitch · 01/12/2023 15:14

@liz4change thank you. I started feeling nausea - which I hadn’t before, so maybe that’s kicking in? I should be more patient! What I noticed is I don’t care about wine that much.
congrats on your progress, you must be pleased!

liz4change · 03/12/2023 08:33

No problem. I would say I have had mild side effects, the main one being feeling queasy if I eat too much in one go. I have had occasional nausea which when I thought about it was more likely to be due to not having eaten enough.

Several posters here swear by drinking plenty of water, keeping up/increasing your step count is also good especially if you're starting from a low base.

The thing I have found extraordinary is the steadiness of the weight loss - around 1lb a week. So at the stage you are at now I'd lost around the same - enough to see the scales move, not enough to feel the difference in how your clothes fit or for others to notice.

You still lose the weight by being careful about your choices, it's just a lot easier to do it. I stayed on 0.5 for 3 consecutive months because it was really hard to get 1mg and then did 0.75 for about 6 weeks.

PlasticineKing · 04/12/2023 20:51

Is anyone on 1.7mg and know how many clicks it is? I need to increase my dose but going to 1.7 from 1.0 seems a huge jump. I’m over it now, but I used to feel quite ropey the day after my 1.0 injection and want to increase before Christmas but not by the full amount!! But can’t find a click chart anywhere. Would really appreciate some help/someone telling me how many clicks and I can do the maths myself!
