Before having Ozempic I used to have to go to the toilet at night to wee about 5 times every night. Since having Ozempic I'm only needing to go once a night. Has anyone else noticed this?

Are you diabetic? Sounds like it. Before your blood sugar was probably high and if it’s controlled now you are urinating less.

caringcarer · 16/04/2023 20:39

AuntieSoap · 16/04/2023 07:43

Can I ask if anybody on Ozempic is also hypothyroid and takes Levothyroxine? I can't find anything online to say that they're incompatible but does anyone know differently?

I'm on Levothyroxine and my GP put me on Ozempic so they are definitely OK to take together.

Fortheloveofus · 16/04/2023 20:40

I have blood tests every 3 months for rheumatoid arthritis but I'm not entirely sure what they check for.
GP has recently changed my HRT subscription snd I'm due to go back for to see how that's going. I will ask about weight then. Thank you

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 16/04/2023 20:45

@Fortheloveofus RA and under active thyroid often go hand in hand so that would be high on my list of questions for the GP.

SarahC50 · 16/04/2023 20:47

@Fortheloveofus I am the same as you piled on three stone through peri menopause and I'll health,I'm 51. Like you I have tried everything juicing,fast800,we all in last year. I would be strict as hell for weeks and struggle to even lose a pound. I don't feel like me with this fat alien body,I so get where you are coming from. I've been on ozempic three weeks and it's like a miracle I've lost five pounds which to me is a blooming miracle. It's been with relative ease bar some side effects in the first week. For the first time in years I feel I can actually shift the weight and feel positive. Pm me if you like xx

Fortheloveofus · 16/04/2023 20:56

@FatAgainItsLettuceTime thank you so much for that. I'll definitely look into it. I know RA connects to other things like raynauds, which I also have but not heard the thyroid thing before

@SarahC50 you've given me a little hope. I just need to see that glimmer of hope that it might start working. 5lb is amazing. I'm really happy for you.

In fact, I'm happy for everyone who is feeling and seeing the benefits - even if I sound like a resentful, bitter, jealous cow!

KitKat791 · 16/04/2023 21:00

Hi everyone, been following this thread for a while and have decided to take the plunge and try Ozempic as I really need to curb my cravings and lose weight. Can anyone share a £50 off code for juniper? x

polopolopolopoo · 16/04/2023 21:08

@KitKat791 sent you a pm 😀

SarahC50 · 16/04/2023 21:12

@kitkat I've pm you the juniper code

@Fortheloveofus you don't sound like a bitter cow at all and please have hope there is hope for fat menopausal women like us we can shift it. It might take till you get up to the high dose for it to have an effect. So many times I've quit diets as seeing everyone lose seven pounds in a week when I lose nothing. Best of luck xx

KitKat791 · 16/04/2023 21:19

@SarahC50 thank you!

SarahC50 · 16/04/2023 21:24

@KitKat791 good luck let us know how you get on with it x

Twilightstarbright · 16/04/2023 21:35

@Fortheloveofus I have RA too! I second getting stuff checked out- I often get low B12.

magnic · 17/04/2023 07:27

Good morning all, so no awful side effects after 1st dose on Friday. However no appetite at all - none!! I'm feeling quite optimistic but know its early days. Hope you're all doing well 🫰

Beenalongwinter · 17/04/2023 08:32

@Lostinalibrary

The codes actually still work for new purchases but there are no benefits to the person sending them, posters are just trying to be helpful to others.

Morning everyone

@Fortheloveofus I hear your frustration as I too have not had a huge weight loss like others. It's hard to trust the process when everyone seems to be dropping the pounds and we're wondering whether we have a dud batch.

I'm 49, peri and on HRT too.

It's good to know that there are others on the thread having a similar experience to me.

Tonight is dose 3 for me

Sameiam · 17/04/2023 09:44

Bouncing around the same half a kilo for the last few days and it’s frustrating! I know it’s nothing in the grand scheme of things but it’s hard not to eat the chocolate digestives when I’m a bit stuck anyway. 😂 I always find I get super stuck at about 72kg and it takes weeks to get through it, bizarrely then fine again and lose regularly (if more slowly) after breaking it

Twilightstarbright · 17/04/2023 09:51

I wonder why some of us get immediate appetite suppression and others don’t? I think it was on the Zoe podcast where the scientist said he thinks we’ll have different types of obesity in the future and understand their causes a lot better.

Theres so much we don’t know about obesity considering how widespread an issue it is. And so much stigmatising 😢

UsernameFail · 17/04/2023 10:07

I read the Zoe podcast and found it very insightful, particularly the bit about the hormone which makes you feel full (which I didn't know but always wondered). I know we are all designed differently - I am one of four daughters - three naturally slim and I've always had a weight problem. thats not just about changing eating habits

Springclean8 · 17/04/2023 10:54

Is anyone else sick of asking themselves "am I hungry or am I not" 🙈 I seem to have become obsessed with whether my appetite is suppressed or not 🤣🙈

LittleDitto · 17/04/2023 11:22

I’m almost 2 weeks in now. Absolutely nothing has happened. I don’t feel different I’m not losing weight. Still calorie counting but it’s hard to get below 1200.

Twilightstarbright · 17/04/2023 12:12

I’m definitely feeling more hungry today than I have been, due to inject on weds for the second time. But it’s manageable hunger.

dandelionsong · 17/04/2023 12:13

How long did it take people to get an update/approved for Ozempic from MyJuniper?

It took me three days , they ask a question in the middle of the night I replied in the day they asked another in the middle of the night again and approved the following day.

I use these on days 5,6 and 7 I take 2 before meals. They take the edge of hunger keep it at bay.

I’ve been approved by Juniper and just need to press confirm. I used the code kindly provided by someone on here and £145 was taken last night but it’s saying £195, they’re not going to try and take another £50 are they?
