@Twilightstarbright @Fortheloveofus ill he doing thigh, most likely mid-late afternoon when I get a bit of peace. I’m not planning on telling DH so want to be able to psych myself up make sure I know what I’m doing!!

Fortheloveofus · 12/04/2023 14:51

I'm not telling anyone either, which is making me wonder how I can explain away any side effects and my oss of appetite just days after being able to eat my own body weight in chocolate!

LemonPledge555 · 12/04/2023 14:56

@Fortheloveofus in the last I’ve dabbled with the Paul McKenna “Thin” app in the past. Basically it’s you can eat what you want, but you have to only eat when physically hungry, chew properly, and eat without distraction and stop when full. Plus there’s CBT ish techniques and guided hypnotherapy at night. I have never really told DH about that, but I’m planning on doing it too so my brain is better wired to eat properly when I have to taper off/reduce dose. As long as my job stays funded (third sector) I can keep buying it, so I’m wondering if I’m looking at it as a long term solution with an option to taper off. I want to change my eating habits for good.

LemonPledge555 · 12/04/2023 14:56

(So I think I’ll tell DH about the app and hope he just thinks I’m being really committed 😂)

That makes sense thanks. I was puzzled why people were needing to buy needles when the pen came with them. Very good to know there’s more than 4 weeks in the 0.25 pen. Thanks for this.

You’re welcome

I didn’t tell anyone when I was on it and was amazed my husband thought I suddenly developed self control! I told friends etc I was on a diet which everyone easily accepted & so didn’t question my small portions.

Backtoblack1 · 12/04/2023 16:14

Mine has arrived today! Not sure whether or not to start tonight as I’m working long hours tomorrow and worried about side effects when i’m out of the house. Really keen to get started though x

DrMadelineMaxwell · 12/04/2023 16:31

There is 1.5ml of liquid in the 0.25 pen and each dose is 0.19ml.
So there are 7.89 doses in the first pen!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 12/04/2023 16:39

I think the pen is only good for six weeks though so while you can get an extra couple of doses out of it do check the time limit.

Twilightstarbright · 12/04/2023 16:43

My husband knows but no one else yet but I’m going to say I’m on a diet.

ElinorDashwood68 · 12/04/2023 16:51

I think I'm going to join in, my menopausal munchies are just too hard to control!

I like the idea of one injection a week so was thinking of buying from Health Express.

Does anyone have a code?

magnic · 12/04/2023 17:57

I'm not telling anyone either. Hoping mine comes tomorrow as starting straight away. In the thigh, at night. Hoping to minimise side effects. Good luck to us all

As long aa the liquid is clear it is ok

Some packaging says 56 days, which is 8 weeks.
On other paperwork it says throw out after 6 weeks. Which is still enough time to start counting on disease one and take 7 doses. If you can stay on 0.25 and get results.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 12/04/2023 18:02

I placed my order with myjuniper this morning but heard nothing more today as to whether my order has been given the green light or not. I'm back to work after easter on Monday so was aware I'm leaving it last minute but I was hoping it would be dispatched today or tomorrow.

Mine is hidden in the fridge too, in a garlic purée box!

I've got my friends 40th on Saturday and will be a boozy party... and don't know whether to start today or wait til Sunday/Monday?

I’ve been havering over when to start. We’ve got my birthday next week, then lunch out next Sat and a dinner the following Sat. I’m just going to have a couple of drinks, will be better on the purse strings too! I’m going to get on it tomorrow. Have primed DH that I’m starting my Paul McKenna app again so will be eating less 😂

Singlemum90 · 12/04/2023 19:15

I would say wait until after!! I had a boozy night on Friday (I'm 3 weeks in and the 1st time I have drank on it) honestly just don't do it! TMI but had stomach pains and 'loose' movements for about 2 days after. Worst hangover I can remember. I'm not normally a big drinker but this was no normal hangover. Drink hit quicker, had more of an effect and the after effects were the worst! Id start fresh after your boozy night! Or try to limit the drinks if you want to start now

Singlemum90 · 12/04/2023 19:16

Also if anyone needs a code for juniper I have one

I think it lasts longer than 6 weeks if you keep it in the fridge but it's 6 weeks out of the fridge

I would wait until Sunday/Monday.

Alcohol and Ozempic is a bad mixture for many people, not worth risking being ill at your friends 40th

Twilightstarbright · 12/04/2023 19:53

Just took my first dose, very straightforward.

@Beenalongwinter absolutely true! I’ve thrown all the Easter chocolate out and stocked up on veg.
