Would anyone like to join me. I have three stone to loose and my target is December. I am 5ft 1 and 13 stone.

I've got Nutracheck to track calories.
Planning on walking and doing weights at home. Plus YouTube exercise videos.
Cutting back on booze.
Cutting back on snacks

I am fed up of looking like a round ball of plump 😪 I am also unfit so need to get more healthier in all ways.

All welcome 😁

I'll join you. I have been trying to lose weight since the start of the year but keep binge eating. I'm currently around 174lbs, and want to get to around 130/135.

I follow Team RH fitness who are fab and know their stuff, but I have 2 young kids, 1 of which doesn't sleep, and I currently have depression. So that and sleep deprivation just causes me to eat crap.

I'd love to have motivation on here to post my weight a few times a week for accountability!

AutisticLegoLover · 27/03/2023 00:39

Good luck! I always promise I'll be slim for my summer birthday and/or Christmas. I've not succeeded since I was about 24. I'm now 46. This year I can't remember what I was for Christmas but I was definitely slimmer and I was on target for my holiday in February and I'm about 2kg off my June target. If I can do it you can do it. Slow and steady is the way to go. Think healthier instead of denial or cutting out food groups. Add things in like extra water. Drinking lots of water seems to have got me a whoosh of weight loss this last week. Get decent sleep and prioritise rest and done relaxation. Walk if you can. Eat real food. Enjoy what you eat. You can do it!

Diorinthecountry · 27/03/2023 01:38

@AutisticLegoLover the positivity and motivation in your post is amazing. Thank you Flowers sounds like you are doing great with your health goals. Thanks for the tips. I could definitely improve my sleep, I only drink water but could definitely do with increasing the amount I drink daily.

@Kam610 thanks so much for joining in with me Flowers will check out team rh. Sounds like you have a lot going on just now. Feel free to post away on here anytime if you need to offload. Take one day at a time, you can do this.

I would love to join you. I always think I can lose weight quickly and become disheartened when it doesn't happen so Christmas is a good target for me. I weighed in this morning at 12st.12 I would like to be 10st3 so I need to drop 2 stone 9 pounds which seems like loads! I am doing a month on slimfast as a kick start and then I'm looking to up my activity and crack on with healthy eating. It would be great to have some online support.

Diorinthecountry · 27/03/2023 10:57

Welcome @MercuryRising
Is slimfast the shakes ? Lots of luck with your month on it.

I know what you mean by looking at the numbers and it seems a lot. What about if we do half a stone/7 pounds at a time to make it less scary?

stopbeeping · 27/03/2023 11:03

Hi entirely possible I lost 5,98 stone since I had my daughter in March last year I needed to loose probably 5 of that

stopbeeping · 27/03/2023 11:03

Oh and I am 5ft 1!

Diorinthecountry · 27/03/2023 11:37

Thanks for your encouragement @stopbeeping Grin

Going to try and squeeze a walk in today then go for the weekly food shop. Going to have a look on Google for quick dinners as I tend to eat my whole kitchen when waiting for dinner cooking.

Hi, I'm joining in if that's ok.

I did actually weigh myself this morning. It's been a long time coming.

12st 4.5lbs. I am 5'4

MercuryRising · 27/03/2023 11:44

Diorinthecountry 7 pound increments sounds much more manageable. We are taking the children away Easter weekend so I'm hoping I can lose my first 7 pounds by then as it usually falls off quickly initially.

Enjoy your walk - exercise is definitely much easier when the sun is shining.

Diorinthecountry · 27/03/2023 13:20

Welcome @SparkleEgg thanks for joining us Grin the first step on the scales and facing the truth is always the worst. Downwards from here for all of us!

@MercuryRising thank you, yeah the sun makes such a difference and the lighter nights are back 🥳
Getting away for Easter sounds fab. I am sure first 7 will drop off as we eat better/move more.

I have been doing well so far today. I had All Bran for breakfast with semi skimmed milk and 20g of protein powder. This fills me up until lunch time so I don't need a morning snack. I made pea and ham soup for lunch which is also really filling.

Mornings are usually fine, it's afternoons I struggle with and usually have a binge after about 3 or 4 days of healthy eating. I keep trying to remind myself of all the events I have this year and how I want to be more comfortable with how I look.

I will be weighing myself every day. As I said before I follow Team RH, and they recommend weighing daily, as weight fluctuates every day and if you weigh just once a week, you might land up on one of the days your weight might be up slightly due to water retention or other factors.

MercuryRising · 27/03/2023 14:04

That is interesting Kam610 I weigh daily as I find it motivates me more. I'm considering a move to TeamRH after my month of slimfast, but I'm not sure I could cope with all of the recording of macros - is it as intense as it sounds?

SparkleEgg · 27/03/2023 14:05

Thanks for the welcome @Diorinthecountry.

I've just been to the supermarket and stocked up on healthy foods. No chocolate or cake made it's way into my trolley. Difficult with all the Easter chocolate currently in store.

No it's not as scary as it seems once you get into it. You have to weigh everything though. I find that with 70g of all bran, 150ml of semi skimmed milk and 20g of protein powder for breakfast, it makes a huge dent in my fibre and protein goals for the day. If I fill my plate up with veg at tea time then I've usually hit my fibre target. I find protein a bit more difficult to get but I usually eat meat at lunch and tea time so usually pretty close. Those are the only macros that they ask you to meet so it's not too mind boggling. You input your food into My Fitness Pal and it links up with their app.

sealon82 · 27/03/2023 16:03

I'll join! I've just weighed in and am 5'7 and 185lb. I'd like to be 140lb.

Newmeunderthetree · 27/03/2023 16:16

I would love to join you! 5ft 1 and nearly 12st 7. I am trying to be so good but am working away from home quite a bit at the moment. There are tempting snacks in the offices I work in and I also eat out and don't have access to the gym. If anyone has any tips for avoiding overeating and squeezing in some exercise I would be so grateful. 50 next year and still trying to reach the target I set myself to get to before my 40th birthday....😂

I'm going to start doing 8 minute workouts on YouTube every day.
I did the 8 minute abs everyday a couple of years ago and lost 8 inches around my stomach really quickly.
You could do that from a hotel room, mix it up with 8 minute, legs/arms/bum.

I will take a look at those, thank you, that is a really impressive loss!

MercuryRising · 27/03/2023 19:37

I have just ordered a weighted hula hoop. They seem to get mixed reviews but I'm hoping when teamed with a calorie deficit it will have an effect 🤞

sealon82 · 27/03/2023 19:42
Just started this again tonight, ouch!!
NewMumNeedHelp · 27/03/2023 22:01

Can I join too. Looking for some accountability to keep me motivated. Weighing in at 12 stone 2. Need to shift 2 stone to get back to pre baby weight, but 9 stone 10 would be the ultimate goal to be a healthy BMI. My knees are not appreciating all the extra weight.

Weight crept on when I switched to a WFH desk job the beginning of last year. It then piled on when I got pregnant.

Using my fitness pal to keep track of calories and just started Couch to 5k tonight. Like the sound of 8 min workouts, can’t use no time as an excuse for those!

Kam610 · 28/03/2023 08:45

Weighed again this morning. Was 174.4 lbs yesterday, and today I'm 173lbs. Expecting a lot of water to come off this week so will likely get a good loss then it will slow down.

Diorinthecountry · 28/03/2023 12:12

@SparkleEgg I was the same yesterday, dodging all the chocolate etc. Last night I had celery, cucumber sticks and fruit for a snack. Really enjoyed it was nice and refreshing.

Welcome @sealon82 and @Newmeunderthetree @NewMumNeedHelp Grin

@Kam610 scales going in the right direction for you. I am definitely passing a lot more water. I forgot about how much I pee the first week of a new diet. Sorry tmi 😳 I am so grateful for it though as at the end of last week I was so bloated and felt all tight.

Going to stop eating for the day. I've finished on 1374 calories. I did 20 minutes on my exercise bike, 50 kettle bell lifts, and 50 thigh masters. Will do 8 minute abs again later.
