Would anyone like to join me. I have three stone to loose and my target is December. I am 5ft 1 and 13 stone.

I've got Nutracheck to track calories.
Planning on walking and doing weights at home. Plus YouTube exercise videos.
Cutting back on booze.
Cutting back on snacks

I am fed up of looking like a round ball of plump 😪 I am also unfit so need to get more healthier in all ways.

All welcome 😁

Sounds like everyone is doing well!

I weighed again this morning, yesterday I was 172, after gaining what I think was water retention from weight training. This morning I was 170.2, so I'm very happy with that.

We had a really unsettled night last night. Usually my 1 year old is up a million times, but she actually slept pretty much the whole night through. So typically my son had a bad fever of 40.2°c and I spent the whole night on the phone to 111 and waiting for a Dr to call back as well as checking his temp every hour. They are never both OK at the same time 🤦‍♀️

Diorinthecountry · 31/03/2023 12:06

@SparkleEgg I would already have reached that 🤣

@Kam610 well done on today's loss. Sorry to read about your son. I hope he is feeling better now. You must be exhausted today, hope you can rest.

Busy day today still managed to do a long walk. Have 500 calories left.

Drinks - coffee, water, diet irn bru
Snacks - fruit and 1 babybel
Lunch - pate and crusty bread
Dinner - steak with mushrooms, spinach, kale, green beans.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I can not tell you how close I came yesterday to driving to the shop to get chocolate. I even had my car keys in my hand ready to go.

Just as I was about to leave my mum phoned so I sat down for ten minutes to speak to her. I didn't go to the shop.

Monday is my weigh day, I really hope that I see the scales going down, even ever so slightly would do me.

Diorinthecountry · 01/04/2023 10:17

@SparkleEgg personally I think a little bit of what you fancy does you good. Could you try swaps? For example last night I had a mini magnum rather than a full size one. I have babybel as a snack rather than the big lump of chedder.

I am taking Saturday and Sunday off from calorie counting. Tonight there will be gin and nibbles. Tomorrow we are going out for lunch. I refuse to calorie count seven days a week for me it's not realistic and too restrictive. My first week has went ok, its always week two where I get frustrated that its not gone yet and go back to old ways.

Weigh day. 3 down 42 to go.
Sounds like loads but I'm not going to give up this time. How's everyone else doing?

decemberagain · 03/04/2023 09:54

Well done @sealon82 that's a great start.
I'm another 2lb down this week so 10 in total and 30lb to go.

NewMumNeedHelp · 03/04/2023 10:04

Well done. I still seem to be stuck in a bit of a plateau, only managed half lb. It’s weird, I was eating biscuits and all sorts of crap for weeks and my weight stayed the same. Now I am eating better and exercising more it’s still staying the same.

maybe I should just eat the biscuits? 😂

I can only hope I’m building some muscle and that’s slowing the weight loss. Or retaining some water and I will suddenly have a good week.

out for a walk in a min and a run tonight.

sealon82 · 03/04/2023 16:13

Im sure you'll drop loads soon, keep going!
Im going to be really strict this week because it's my birthday and anniversary on Saturday and I intend to eat cake!

sealon82 · 03/04/2023 20:35

Not the best day food wise.
Breakfast yoghurt & satsuma
Lunch Brie & salad roll
Dinner beef burger & chips.
Did 30 min on the treadmill & 8 min abs.

Diorinthecountry · 03/04/2023 21:18

Well done @sealon82 and @decemberagain

@NewMumNeedHelp just stick to biscuits 🤣 hope you enjoyed your walk.

I was so busy today only had water then coffee. Had pate with bread for a late lunch and a biscuit. Then we went out for dinner and I had cheeseburger and chips becouse that was the only gluten free option. I didn't eat the bun in protest 🤣

Going to have a cup of tea. We have been watching the Royal family from the beginning it all looks so old now. Sadly I've ran out of mini magnums 😪

Fingers crossed I can at least drop a pound this week. Still need to work on increasing exercise 😳

Hi, I'll join in. I started at the end of October last year but took December and January off (more or less maintained weight those two months though)

Height - 5ft 4

Starting weight - 16st 2.6lbs

Current weight - 13st 0.6lbs

My goal was to be 10 stone by August as we have a lovely family holiday booked.
Although the weight is coming off quite quickly I'm not too fussed if I only manage to drop a stone or two by then and I'll continue when I get back off my holiday.

Diorinthecountry · 04/04/2023 00:43

Welcome @adistraction you are doing really well. How have you managed to lose weight? Have you cut back or are you counting calories?

OP posts:
adistraction · 04/04/2023 00:48

@Diorinthecountry I was doing omad but have just switched to the fast 800, today was day one and I'm not as hungry as I thought I would be. Hoping it stays that way!

NewMumNeedHelp · 04/04/2023 09:42

Woohoo finally seeing some movement. Think it was water/hormones hiding the loss. Panic over. Thought my wellies went on a bit easier last night.

starting weight 12.2 and a bit
current weight 12.0
And I have lost an inch around my over hang belly/hips. Still a long way off fitting into non maternity jeans.

needed that boost.

@adistraction that’s some impressive weight loss!! Well done

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 04/04/2023 12:25

Can I join? I started beginning of march at 14st 9lb (am only 5 3 so far to big for my height) currently 13st 8lb. I am calorie counting with my fitness pal and trying to make sure I hit 10000 steps daily (failing at this so far lol)

Diorinthecountry · 04/04/2023 12:42

Well done @NewMumNeedHelp that's a good idea for measuring yourself. Will look out my measuring tape. I've completely gave up counting calories. I just can't get into the way of doing it everyday for every bit of food. I always forget.

Welcome @YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake that's an impressive loss so far. We'll done. I know what you mean about steps, I've not been hitting mine daily.

I still feel that I am moving in the right direction. I've increased my fruit and veg, not snacking on rubbish as much. Not exercising daily but have definitely increased from before. I like the swaps I've made so I don't feel deprived. I've massively reduced my alcohol intake. I've actually really went off alcohol and it wouldn't bother me if I never touch it again. Must be a age thing as I liked a wine or two.

I am struggling to resist the piles of Easter eggs that seem to have appeared in my house! Shock

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 11/04/2023 09:22

Checking in. Managed to avoid the Easter eggs. Could not pass on the lamb and roast potatoes though. 2.2lb down this week.

sealon82 · 11/04/2023 09:41

Haven't weighed in today, terrible weekend of eating but it was my birthday plus who can resist an Easter egg. Started today well though. Yogurt and Satsuma for breakfast and going to go hard on the treadmill later.

Diorinthecountry · 11/04/2023 13:51

Sorry not been here for a little bit. I took a break from the tinternet for a while.

The numbers on my scales are refusing to budge. I do notice a difference in my shape though and my face looks slimmer. I've totally fallen away from counting calories. I just can't stick to weighing everything out and putting it in Nutracheck. I do ok for a week or two then just can't be bothered with it. Going to have a Google to see what else I can try. I've been going on walks frequently and having plenty of alcohol free nights. My sleep is better than its been in a long time. I've also been doing pamper stuff daily to help me feel better about myself.

Last week I couldn't get any motivation to cook so we had three take aways . I Really need to look up quick easy dinners.

I wish weight came off as easy as it went on!

On a positive note. Spring is here and the weather is lovely, which makes me feel more energetic and in less of a slump.

I really need to work on eating more frequently. I get caught up with work/kids etc and before I know it. It's late afternoon and I haven't eaten then I stuff anything into my mouth. Also need to get back to meal planning and online delivery rather than shoving anything in the trolley at tesco and hoping for the best.

Sorry for the rambling. Hope you are all having a good day.

Another 2.2lbs this week, hitting the 20lb mark!!! Hope everyone else had a good week

Diorinthecountry · 21/04/2023 14:41

Hi @YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake that's amazing well done, you are doing fab. Do you notice a difference in how clothes fit etc?

I lost one pound last week it was a delight to see the scales move. I've contacted a private dietitian who can hopefully help me look frankly at what I am eating and help me lose weight. My weight is really starting to get me down. I am so fed up of it.

OP posts:
mysonsmother82 · 21/04/2023 17:46

20lb is amazing, well done! Not going to lie I haven't been making any effort for the last couple of weeks so I've come back for somewhere to use for a bit of accountability. I'm going to go hard on the treadmill this weekend. (Name change btw. Was sealon82)

NewMumNeedHelp · 21/04/2023 20:31

Good effort @YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake

I fell off the diet wagon. Hurt my knees running a couple of weeks ago and have been sat on the sofa feeling sorry for myself eating junk ever since. Pain is finally subsiding, so giving myself a kick up the butt and getting back to it.

So it’s back on the scales in the morning, somewhat dreading it as I think I will be heavier than when this thread started. Going to try cycling instead of the running 3 times a week and see if my knees cope better. Also need to meal plan so I don’t get tempted when doing the food shop.

@Diorinthecountry a 1lb loss is still moving in the right direction so don’t be hard on yourself. Hope the dietician is helpful.
