Thanks Fedda - will imagine I'm a cat (although not mine as it pees in the corner of every room!). Have got about stone to lose my 10%. Just think that the novelty has gone and can't be bothered to record what I'm eatting but need to record it or I can't stop eating!

Right need to go to bed and stop whinging!

fedda · 13/02/2008 23:45

Recording what i'm eating doesn't stop me from eating, I just blush more often. i need to take myself in bed as well. i just had tuns of grapes and a tangerine. I need to pass the fridge without stopping.

moodlumthehoodlum · 13/02/2008 23:50

Ags - thanks a half is a half, unless its swiftly followed by another, in which case its a pint . That's a delicious beef thing, which I might do on friday. I love beef thats so rare its practically mooing.

I had chicken curry tonight cooked from the Cook yourself slim cookbook, (written by those sloaney ponies from the channel four series). It was delish, but I just cannot believe it was lo calorie.

night all.

Hello - I don't usually post here, but I am also following weightwatchers so love to follow your thread to see how you are all doing. However, I am so amazed I had to post this somewhere - I am cooking my hubby a meal for valentines on Saturday and have just calculated how many points are in a Mocha Pie I had planned on making for desert....Are you ready?.....195.5 . I couldn't believe it, even if I have a 1/4 of it this is still almost a weeks worth of my allowance. Any ideas for deserts which are low in points but which hubby would enjoy too would really be appreciated as I know if I make this I will be so tempted but then totally gutted once I had eaten it.

mammyjo · 14/02/2008 15:13

Hi Fimble Dont really know what to suggest for dessert but am really at almost 200 points for a dessert!!

I have decided to ditch the diet just for today. I always make a nice dinner for dh on Valentines day and I know I could make it a low point one, but I dont want to!! Have already made choc mousse which is now in the fridge. Contains enough double cream to fur a thousand arteries so is probably on the points scale of fimbles dessert. Will be making little individual beef wellingtons for our dinner (yes with real pastry!). Havent even attempted the point count as it will be too depressing, but will get back with the plan tomorrow and enjoy tonight
Saved a few points yesterday, and plan to do the same for the rest of the week, although I wont be able to save enough I am sure, but feel the need for a day off!

Hope everyone is ok, we are all doing so well and I think we all know how hard it is on a day to day basis. Dont lose heart, you can do it

mammyjo · 14/02/2008 15:15

Fimble, just a thought, do you have access to the WW site as they have loads of recipe ideas on there, where you may find something to make for dessert.

Fimbles5 · 14/02/2008 15:42

Thanks mammyjo - In some ways I wish I had taken a day off like you and just enjoyed a nice romantic meal on Saturday (its nice to have a break from the diet routine, and we all need it once in a while), but to be honest I am relieved that I found out the points in that desert as at least I now have an explanation as to why I wouldn't have lost anything over the next two weeks I will have a look on the WW website. Thankyou and enjoy your dinner.

fedda · 14/02/2008 16:16

Hi, fimbles, it's just an idea, you could get Greek youguret Total 0% fat, mix with a little honey and arrange in desert bowls decorated with raspberries and blueberries or put the berries first, strawberries are very romantic and a dolop of yogurt on the top and a little squise of chocolate syrom in a heart shape with a strawberry in the middle.

Fimbles5 · 14/02/2008 16:19

Oh Fedda - I can always rely on you! That sounds so fantastic. Thankyou.

fedda · 14/02/2008 16:22

Yes, fimbles, you can realy on me every time and you're very welcome. To be honest i wish I thought of this desert before. You've inspired me for these ideas, fimbles. Have a wonderful romatic evening!

mammyjo · 14/02/2008 17:24

That dessert sounds delicious! Shame my dh would refuse to eat anything like that as he doesnt like berries of any description. I would love it though!

fedda · 14/02/2008 21:03

My DH isn't fond of berries and hardly eats any fruit but we bought strawberry pavlova ice cream from M&S and I decorated it with raspberries and blueberries and he absolutely loved it. What does your DH like? pears poached in vine is supposed to be nice.

silkcushion · 14/02/2008 21:55

The chinese was alright but not really worth iykwim. The wine felt worth it though

Period isn't normal for me. But dd is only 14 weeks old and I started taking the minipill 3 weeks after having her - making strange things happen.

Have been better today - 2.5pts under for the day. I had a lovely tea, can't remember if I've told you all about it before. My local co op have aready made sauce thing - not in a jar but a squishy packet. It's morrocan fennel and apricot tagine. Half a pack plus a chicken breast is 4.5pts. It's scrummy. We had it with tescos lemon and coriander couscous - 3pts for half a pack. Not a bad meal really. Did buy another battle of wine but haven't opened it.

VVV which cuppa soups are you having? Seem like a low point meal to me

silkcushion · 14/02/2008 21:56

sorry about typos

VeniVidiVickiQV · 14/02/2008 22:25

Ags - Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself Mediterranean Tomato. It's really not bad for a plastic soup.

Had that today for lunch again. Got some lovely ready-meal stuff from M&S for dinner this evening.

Got Chicken Breast with pesto and baby spinach, caesar style veg, and potato, leek and gruyure bake, some ciabatta bread, followed by toffee apple pancakes. Including the nibbles beforehand I only went 1 point over for the day (had 1.5 activity points for the day to bump up points). I've still got 9.5 points saved for the week.

This really doesnt feel like a diet .

fedda · 14/02/2008 22:34

it's a special day so i think we are all aloowed. Anyway, i seem to have too many special days since Christmas

moodlumthehoodlum · 15/02/2008 12:01

If I say that DH brought home EIGHT special valentine sprinkle heart shape doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, you can guess how well my valentine's day point counting went!!! There are some two left.

I'm not even going to count the points (I think they would probably not register on the cardboard wheelie thing!

chocolatespiders · 15/02/2008 16:10

hi all

i am really down as i have completly lost the diet plot> couldnt even bring myself to get weighed this week, as i didnt want to be the first to gain

I dont want to be fat

fedda · 15/02/2008 18:54

Hi, chocolate, you aren't the first one to gain. Guess who is?

Evening all. B - poridge with honey and grapes, coffee with crackers
L - can of sardines with cherry toms, grapes, toast with thinly spread of butter, tea with 1 sugar
Coffee with 2 sugars
D - rainbow trout grilled with almonds, steamed green beans, boiled carrots, home made french fries, salad of toms, cucumber and grapes
Bluberries, raspberries and pear with a scop of M&S Strawberry pavlova ice-cream
Coffee with crackers

silkcushion · 15/02/2008 19:00

Choc - jump back up on the wagon - weigh yrself and face the damage (no matter how bad). We're all gonna have a week like that - sorry it's yours this week but don't let it beat you

VeniVidiVickiQV · 15/02/2008 19:55

oh choccie - just start again. Write the day/week off, and start again. It's never too late.

loler · 15/02/2008 20:13

Choc (you really need to change your name - thecwordspiders is much less tempting!) Oh just remembered what a cspider is! - any way must stop jibbering! That man who's name I can't remember but wrote I can make you thin - says not to weigh yourself weekly as you go up and down on a downward trend. Put a line on your recording chart and just start again.

Went for a jog tonight and manage to run for about a mile (have just measured it on a map) without stopping (well just briefly for dog to do wee!). Feel very proud of self even though lungs still not back to normal!

Think it is this excersise that is making me ramble....excerise is just nit good for you!

Ags · 15/02/2008 22:37

Choc, come back please! Agree with the others. Maybe you need to relax for the weekend and let go a little with a view to getting back on the healthy eating plan on Monday. Sorry you are feeling so bad but silk is right, we will all have one of those days/weeks/months!

Ags · 15/02/2008 22:39

Hope you all had a nice valentine's night. I had a nice meal followed by Angel Delight (butterscotch) with bashed up Crunchie in it. What did I say about reliving my childhood diet with this weight watchers thing! It was like nectar - absolutely scrumptious. I went a few points over but had a bonk (how many exercise points in a bonk?!) so was not a terrible day overall.

silkcushion · 15/02/2008 22:41

am very impressed by the running loler!

As at tonight I have no pts stored but am also not over (amazing after the midweek meltdown). Gave into a sausage roll craving at lunchtime - althoug it tasted scrummy it was not worth the colossal amount of pts - I was hungry immediately after eating it and have had to eat a 2.5 pts evening meal

Weekend plan -
walk to Tescos the long way round with dd mid morning whilst dh drives to get dsc. 1hr 30mins approx walk.
b - porridge
l - cuppa soup (inspired by vvv) with bread
d - quorn sausages (cardboard rolls) and mash
snacks - carrots, grapes and one packet of french fries crisps
drink - glass of wine, gin and diet tonic

Sunday - got to the gym and do 40 mins cardiovascular followed by 20 mins swim and a lounge in the sauna/steam room.

b - porridge
L - roast chicken (no skin) mash not roasties for me, go wild with parsnips and loads of veg
d - knorr broccoli and stilton soup (packet mix) very filling and relatively low pts
snacks - as above
no drink

I feel I am more likely to stick to it now it's written down
