Feel like a complete sad case posting on here. This will probably be the last as I think the thread has died a natural death. But it was a great help so thanks to you all!

I lost 3.5 this week. Very pleased.

ags you have done so amazingly well. you must be dancing around all thin and excited.

Apart from a bad day today, I have jumped back on that wagon and lost a few pounds going cold turkey on the scarsdale, which is very hard work. Give me WW any day!

Anyway. Well done all, you've all done great. Amazingly in most cases.

Oh don't stop posting - or at least can we get together to start a new thread in September? I need a boot up the bum to get going again but due to holidays and illness (just had a weird hypersentive reaction thing diagnosed that causes joint pain) have started to creep back up!

Go back to work in September so hoping that being away from the kitchen might help!

Ags - Thanks for your posts, they have been very inspirational - hopefully will be able to keep an eye on how you are doing.

I will get my slowing growing bum back on ww soon!

Eddas · 09/08/2008 09:02

i have been away too long

I need to start again. today. I'm strating to relaise that my diet is so bad it's giving my tummy ache, which is not good It's my own fault and only I can do something about it.

So my plan from today forward is:

  1. eat better
  2. exercise more, probably just walking but that's better than nothing. I can't afford to join classes or a gym so it has to be free

i just need to find some willpower............

Hello! I have been away from this thread for a few weeks, haven't lost any more weight but haven't gained either so that's ok!

I seem to be a bit stuck just now and can't seem to motivate myself to keep going. I really would like to lose another stone, this would mean I could wear size 14 clothes which is a huge achievement for me, bearing in mind I was squeezing my backside into size 20 jeans when I started out.

Ags, don't leave! You have done so well, keep posting. From what others have said, hopefully the thread can get going again in September. I know that I have struggled much more through the holidays as my routine has been completely shot to pieces. Am hoping to regain some normality in a few weeks time!

Welcome back Eddas

loler · 18/08/2008 09:55

Hello - glad to see some of us are still hanging in there.

I've just been put on a course of steroids so really do need to watch what I'm eating. I'm feeling pretty pants at the moment so don't feel like eating but I guess this will change.

I start back at work after mat leave on 2nd sept - so for me that's phase 2 of this diet. Want to be able to feel proffessional and smart rather than covering up in smock tops!

Eddas · 19/08/2008 07:23

hi mj and loler, glad you're still around

it was after my holiday in september last year that i realised i had to shift some of my baby weight. I did lose enough to bring me back to my pre pg weight which was fab. But I know that to be even more happy and not be overweight according to the charts i need to lose more.

I have just bought a new terrain pushchair so I will be starting a bit of exercise soonI figure it's a good all round workout since i'll be walking across fields etc etc. I just need to work out if I can fit it into the car If I can I will try to do the preschool run in a bit of an odd way but it does make sense, i'll drive there, walk back home, then walk back to preschool and then drive home. It means dd doesn't have to do the walk. it's very long with a steep hill which isn't very fair on a 4 yo. DS won't mind, he'll be pushed it'll cut down my time at home, but then all i do is mn and eat/drink so that'll be good

anyway i'll be quiet now

see you all later

No change for me this week, weight the same. I am happy with that as I just can't quite seem to get myself back on track. I will have a couple of really good days and then it slips again! If I can stay the same for a while then I will be happy

JellySnakes · 09/09/2008 13:38

Has everyone given up then?!

I am still around (mammyjo btw), trying core this week to give myself a kick start as I have stopped losing weight. I am staying the same though so I am actually quite happy with that. Would ideally like to shift another 1-1.5 stone if I can manage it.
Anyone want to get back on the wagon with me?!!

Ags · 30/09/2008 17:42

Hi all, well, it is not just September it is nearly October! I have been offline having a whale of a September. Mum and Dad were over on an extended babysitting trip and I went out lots including a day at Ascot which was a blast. They are gone now and it is back down to earth.

How is everyone doing? I managed to lose another 6 pounds despite all the socialising and have hit the 6 stone mark which is very satisfying.

It would be great to hear how everyone is doing and to get some motivation as I have been finding it much trickier lately and need the discipline of posting and reading everyone elses experiences.

fedda · 30/09/2008 21:31

I'm overeating on a regular basis and i put on 2 kg recently so I didn't post for sometime but I'll try to get back, hopefully with better news.

oiwhatsoccurring · 03/10/2008 08:16

Hi Ags & Fredda. I ahve now lost 2st 2lbs. Need to lose 1 pound and I am then in the 13s. Ags 6st is amazing. You are doing so well.

fedda · 03/10/2008 12:09

Congratulations, oiwhatsoccurring.
It sounds fantastic!

oiwhatsoccurring · 03/10/2008 17:55

Fedda I have been following weightlossresources.co.uk and its been fantastic and lot cheap on the pocket

fedda · 04/10/2008 17:16

It's good to hear about good news. I'm still overeating, I just feel like cookies and I can't stop (well, not before 5 anyway) I'll try harder from Monday. Cookies are nearly all gone. The trick is not to get a new box. I must look at fruit and veg instead.

loler · 06/01/2009 22:42

Hey are there any mushroom eaters anon out there? Have just joined a new thread to try and get my slightly rounder bum into shape. With a title like that how could I not get involved.

Ags - need your motivation to get me in line again!

loler · 08/07/2009 21:09

I was wondering if anyone was still around or ever thought about this thread - I'm still slowly shrinking (2lb off 3 stone since the start of this thread).

All the other dieting threads seem to die a death pretty quickly.

Anyone else still at it?
