Fedda - that's brilliant - half a stone? Amazing.

Well done everyone.

I've done so badly this week I daren't show my face on this thread. Feel a bit of a fraud even posting. Haven't been on any kind of diet, and no doubt will get what I deserve when it comes to weigh in day.

I just can't find the motivation these days. I have to sort my life out and lose weight.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 18/02/2008 22:07

Mammyjo, if only you had gone to the loo before the weigh in

caykon · 18/02/2008 22:10

ags - sorry I always seem to disapear, I read through the thread most days, just with my plan its hard to comment. It wouldnt be very interesting for me to keep posting what flavour shakes I've had. lol

Squiffy - Hi, it will be great to have someone else on the cambridge plan. Have you done CD before?

fedda · 18/02/2008 22:23

Noooooo, not half a stone, I need to loose it. Oh, dear, I feel like a real fool!

Needed to update the list as it was missing my loss this week and an H!

Well done to all the losers but particularly to those who are still sticking with it after a difficult week.

fedda · 18/02/2008 22:55

Please, could anyone explain me these figures?

Ags · 18/02/2008 23:08

Hi Fedda. The list is firstly, how much weight was lost this week and the next figure is the total amount of weight lost so far. Eg. Ag lost 1.5lbs this week and lost 20.5lbs so far.

When you do your weigh in you should put in for example,

Fedda: -2lbs Total -2lbs

Caykon, great to hear from you. Actually, I am really interested to know how you manage if you are eating out or in a social situation. I considered doing liter life and was eventually put off because of how difficult I would find it to fit in.

caykon · 19/02/2008 08:45

chocolatespiders- I am definately an all or nothing person, thats why the cd works for me. The first couple of days are always hard, but once you get past them I find it quite simple. Your body soon adjusts. I feel so well when i follow this, I have energy, my skin is good you never feel bloated and yucky, and I sleep well. You do have to be dedicated because even the slightest blip can send you off course. You have to remember you can only have your 3 shakes/ soups a day, after a couple of weks you can swap a shake/ soup for a bar, and on top of that it is recommended to have around 3 litres of plain water no more than 1 pt of coke zero and back unsweetened tea or coffee.
It is very strict.

Ags - As for social eating, I just dont go there. At a push you can get away with having a small meal of protein with green veg, but is not recommended, as it suddenly makes you feel hungrey by eating.
I don't work so don't have to worry about that, and decided that I wanted to loose weight so much that I have stopped eating out. In other social situations I offer to drive so get away without drinking, (I do cheat a little here though and treat myself to a diet coke lol)

I am a couple of weeks off moving house, so am having to spend a lot of time at home getting things packed and organised this helps no end.

Better go have breakfast 1/2 a warm choc shake I think and 1pt of water. yum yum

Squiffy · 19/02/2008 09:11

I haven't done CD before, but am hoping it will do the trick for me as I am an all-or-nothing person too. My only fear is that I won't be able to stomach all the aspartame in the shakes so I might end up just on the soups. Ah well.

As for fitting in with social life - no problem for me as I have hardly any social life anyway... I've timed the start so that Easter falls in the window that I am allowed to 'add a meal' so am planning my turkey & cabbage misery feast already

moodlumthehoodlum · 19/02/2008 09:13

Oh Fedda Sorry

fedda · 19/02/2008 09:37

No, moodlumthehoodlum, it's me who has to be sorry for being sooooooo stupid. Why couldn't I guess what the figures were about? It's soooo obvious! Anyhow, I con't enter ANY as I haven't lost ANY WEIGT and whose fault is it? MINE! i love my food too much and although I cut right done on biscuits and chockies I still eat BIG portions piling my plate to the edges. So, home cooked nutricious food but in large quantities keeps my big belly still big and wobly and my weight higher then I want and I NEED to get rid of 3,5 kg as walking upstairs is a struggle.

mammyjo · 19/02/2008 10:42

VVV, I did go to the loo before I went to weigh If I hadnt the results would probably have been even worse!!

Moodlum, dont feel bad about being here. I had the week from hell last week and paid for it with a rather impressive gain. I am determined that my hard work over the last few weeks is not going to go to waste, so this week I am counting my points strictly again (or trying to anyway!).

fedda · 19/02/2008 13:50

Did anybody try to weigh before the loo and after? My weight doesn't change even if i have No2!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/02/2008 17:41

Well, my new scales arrived today.

It's saying I weigh 14st exactly. I do expect an up and down of around 2lb anyway, and am definitely due on. But, I'd say my accurate weight is between 13st12 and 14st.

I dont doubt I've lost the 18lbs though

I'll just have to edit my weights online though, or have it show that I've gained next week. Not sure what's best really.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/02/2008 22:18

argh! am definitely due on. Have just gorged on a whole pack of WW almond slices

So, soup for lunch tomorrow then...

fedda · 19/02/2008 22:35

You too? Oh, no. I had so many flaked almonds, my tummy hurts.

loler · 20/02/2008 10:01

mmmmm - almond slices yum.

I've just put the butternut squash soup recipe on the recipes page as wanted to make it and took me about half hour to find on the thread then couldn't find a pen that worked! There's a very nice looking falafel recipe on there too.

fedda · 20/02/2008 11:14

Sounds good.

Would you like to join me, Fiofio. I'm having soup for lunch and for some snack attacks but it still works.
At the moment I'm cooking carrot, potato, garlic, oregano, spices and fresh coriander soup.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 20/02/2008 13:41

Arrrgh! Had no breakfast today.

Because I knew I was having a "work lunch".

In a pub. In winter. Noooo salad on the menu.

Had burger and chips. Will HAVE to make zero point soup for dinner.

fedda · 20/02/2008 14:13

May i have a recipe, please. I'd love to make a zero point soup.

moodlumthehoodlum · 20/02/2008 16:58

OK. I have put on a pound. Hardly surprising as I have eaten like a devil this week. Its so depressing. I just wish I could get back the mindset back I had when I lost so much weight before.

I just rang lighter life (desperate times call for desperate measures) and its £66 a WEEK . So that's out.
