Thread 1: www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight_loss_chat/4715040-lazy-pig-seeks-other-lazy-pigs-to-lose-1lb-a-week?page=1

We started on 9th January (ish) after we’d very heroically finished off the Christmas chocolate. We discussed our half-arsed plans to shift a bit of timber as we wafted our pudgy trotters vaguely towards the fruit bowl. No one really wanted to exercise properly because it’s too cold/wet/exercisey. We all love biscuits more than being thin yet we vowed to cut down on digestives. We promised, with our fingers crossed just in case. We owned our weaknesses, piggies, we owned them loud and proud and we were as determined as porky trough munchers can be, to aim for around 1lb a week weight loss.

And lo! Lazy Pig Club was born, hooray, and now we need a new thread. Let me know you’re here and how you’re doing, and new pigs are definitely more than welcome!!

Always remember our only rule and the LPC motto: “slowly, slowly - don’t make yourself sad”

Inchstonesbeatmilestones Lemon and pistachio cake sounds delish, I love baking too....not a great hobby right now.

I’ve lost my 3lb that I gained over the last 2 weeks so very pleased with that. Now 3lb off my goal weight.

Going out for dinner tonight where they make the best Pornstar Martinis in the world, it’s just not in me to refuse one.

Have a great weekend Fellow Porksters 🐷

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 24/03/2023 09:57

@BaconAndAvocado 3lb away from goal is a fantastic achievement.

I'm worried I'll put three pounds on the moment I step into the restaurant tonight 😱

BaconAndAvocado · 24/03/2023 11:51

Thanks Inch
Indeed. We’re going to an Italian tonight......does low cal exist in Italian food?

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 24/03/2023 13:09

Nope, low cal and Italian food are enemies. But, enjoy your night and remember the LPC mantra, slowly, slowly, don't make yourself sad.

Yummy Italian food will definitely make you happy

BaconAndAvocado · 24/03/2023 14:44

Oh yes, very happy and there’s a crab ravioli on the menu which is fab!

Mañanarama · 24/03/2023 17:19

Well, I just outdid myself. Ordered a halloumi burger, plus the kids food and some extra deep fried halloumi as I didn’t want to share mine, and they sent SO MUCH HALLOUMI. I reckoned if I only ate half the bread, and dipped the battered halloumi in the chilli sauce (which must dissolve all the fat on the batter?) it would be ok. It was not ok. I am officially about a quarter halloumi.

What a greedy cheese guzzling pig. It was well tasty though.

What do you call it when you can’t sleep at night and just want to eat instead?

Insom-nom-nom-nomnia

😆

“What do you call it when you can’t sleep at night and just want to eat instead? “

Friday night? Normal? Pigtastic.

Good work Bacon and Inch.

Well done on only being a quarter halloumi, @Mañanarama, very healthy ratio. Over half could be worrying.

I have put my epic weekend behind me and am approaching, slowly, a new lowest weight since joining the thread.

EyesOnThePies · 24/03/2023 21:41

P.S good joke @Mañanarama

EyesOnThePies · 24/03/2023 21:43

Oh, I can’t go into M&S atm.

I am drawn to bags of mini walnut whips , compelled like a skimpily dressed woman to a cellar in a horror film.

DietQueen2023 · 24/03/2023 22:00

I am enjoying this thread, it makes me laugh ☺️☺️

I am rather partial to a Lindor ball!

I have a lost another pound. It’s coming off very slowly.

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 24/03/2023 22:57

@Mañanarama I match your quarter halloumi (yum, I want halloumi now), with a quarter cocktail.

Let's go for dinner and have one or two I said. Some time later....... Hmm, how many is that now 😬 (fun though and strangely not feeling even the slightest bit tipsy.... I must be broken)

EyesOnThePies · 25/03/2023 07:59

Well, my little Pigolettos, I have NEWS!

This morning I have hit target weight!

OK, not the achievement of the century, 3Kg since joining the thread, so slowly slowly!

My scales do have a habit of telling big fat porkies so I will monitor over the next few days, but generally I am happy that I have reset to my happy weight.

Have a happy weekend, Oinksters!

Mañanarama · 25/03/2023 09:08

Brilliant news to wake up to @EyesOnThePies! what was your starting weight and where are you now? I’m so happy our little gang are having successes!

That’s fab news Eyes !!

Currently munching on a Brie and tomato roll with a bag of salt and vinegar crisps, tonight DD is making burgers for dinner and then it’s snacks aplenty whilst we watch Luther.

Going on a long dog walk later to counteract the troughing.

TheZeppo · 25/03/2023 16:56

Well done @EyesOnThePies !!

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 25/03/2023 19:17

I am seriously back on it to tomorrow after the other half's birthday celebrations.

But first, a slice of cake.

It’s lemon and therefore one of your five-a-day. You’re fine.

The wagon exploded beneath me...after I lit the fuse by opening the Easter choc someone gave me.

Been off the wagon a while really if I'm honest. Eating helps studying you see. How to get back on it? Can you all send me one simple tip so I can ease back on to it?

BaconAndAvocado · 26/03/2023 14:38

Inch that cake looks glorious and you made it!!

whatusername for me, a good way of getting back into the zone is to have a Piggy Pig-out Goal.
So, if I know I can relax a bit (a lot) and eat what I like at the weekend I will try and eat about 1000 cals Monday to Thursday. It seems to work, most of the time....

Peppy1234 · 26/03/2023 15:44

This thread has made me laugh ☺️
Can I squeeze in to the sty too?
Half a stone down, 3 stone to go…
