Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Just finished it. Heavenly.
No regrets......yet.

Mañanarama · 24/02/2023 21:25

Don’t worry b&a, I’ve not exactly excelled myself today.

Lunch - steak pie, left a lot of pastry, gorgeous. Felt happy and full and virtuous about leaving the pastry.
Snack - one boiled egg
Tea - homemade soup and one slice of bread. Smothered in Lurpak but the bread has seeds, therefore is healthy.

Then… 3 tuc biscuits with butter and cheese, 4 choc hazelnut wafers, half a huge bar of Lindt. And I’m not done yet, I want a cruffin.

Chinese and alcohol at mates house tomorrow. I’m doomed for Monday.

It’s the law to eat unhealthy food on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Maybe that’s where I’ve been going this time?

StephanieSuperpowers · 25/02/2023 09:26

I want some 57 calorie cruffins. I'd never eat anything else.

HamFrancisco · 25/02/2023 09:30

Oh shite, I've been completely off the wagon for nearly a week. Too scared of being demoralised to get on the scales. Encouraging words please.

StephanieSuperpowers · 25/02/2023 09:34

Well, the way I see it at these times, stepping on the scale won't change reality. When you step off, you'll still be the same weight. The bad news can be hard to take but it is what it is, the scale only makes the scales fall from your eyes.

Theheartmustpausetobreathe · 25/02/2023 10:01

Very philosophical for a Sat morning Stephanie .Not that I'm deliberately avoiding the truth of what you say!
I may have taken the cheese and nuts over sugar route a bit too far this week (ooh look at that "this week" ,a triumph of optimism over the inclination to give up ) .
I blame a visitor who came bearing gifts .

mamaduckbone · 25/02/2023 10:35

I've only just come across this thread but you seem like my kind of weight loss people...as a fellow piggy I'd like to be on the register for the new thread please if I may.

A pound a week would be nice if I want to be able to get my lardy body out in the summer. Lost about 3lb after Christmas gorging but Jan and Feb has involved too much comfort eating so have come to a standstill.

I'm 10st8ish at the moment (need to weigh properly) and would like to get to 10st.

^^
Bit hungover.

poshme · 26/02/2023 09:28

@Mañanarama pls add me to new thread.

Total loss since 1/1/23 is 6lb. Which I'm Jolly Pleased with. More than I've ever managed to lose before.

Slower than I'd hoped, but hormones and wine haven't helped. But I mostly haven't felt hungry. And it's getting easier to just not have ice cream when the kids do etc.

petuniasandpetals · 26/02/2023 10:42

I really want NEED - to lose. I was almost 12 stone before Xmas and diagnosed as diabetic.
I ve lost about a stone but since Xmas I just can't get back on track.
Do have a holiday booked for the end of May which along with my health should be motivation.

HamFrancisco · 27/02/2023 07:19

Morning pigs. How are we all?

StephanieSuperpowers · 27/02/2023 08:09

Ok, good. 1.3 down so not too despondent this morning!

Mañanarama · 27/02/2023 09:36

Depressed! Why can’t I get below 10.4. It’s making me SAD.

OP posts:
HamFrancisco · 27/02/2023 10:35

Oh no! Being sad isn't allowed.

Oh no! Being sad isn't allowed.

I know, I’m just stuck, been the same weight for three weeks. Yesterday I cancelled Sunday dinner as various family members were out and about, ate sod all all day then just half a pizza later on.

I was 10.4.0 yesterday morning so I thought I was a cert for 10.3 today, but no - 10.4.6.

IT’S NOT FAIR

Swisspolkadot · 27/02/2023 13:36

Can I join? I'm 10stone 4 and it JUST WONT BUDGE

I want to be 9stone 5 ish. I'd settle for 9 stone 7.

I just ate a homemade scotch egg though. I lost 2lb last week and then ate everything in sight over the weekend and I'm back to where I started.

Weekends are my issue :( it seems.

BaconAndAvocado · 27/02/2023 14:06

Swisspolkadot you appear to have the same approach to losing weight as me, rewarding weight loss with er, putting on weight 🤣
Aiming to have a healthy WHOLE week, not just 4 days then letting loose over the weekend and cancelling it all out.
We shall see...

Swisspolkadot · 27/02/2023 14:10

@BaconAndAvocado Yep that's exactly what I do 😂😂 I need a weekend distraction

Mañanarama · 01/03/2023 08:38

Hooray, I did it, I got a threeeeeeeee

10st 3.4 FINALLY!!

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 01/03/2023 09:04

@Mañanarama well done, that's fantastic.

I'm still like a see-saw -up, down, up. Frustrating as anything. Will keep going and be ultra strict to see if that gets things moving.

That’s how I’ve been for nearly a month, and I’d kind of given up a bit the last couple of days so I’m surprised but HAPPY

Onwards and downwards, hopefully!

Hope you're primed ready to start the next thread. I'm still avoiding the scales and flumping about flabaciously.
