Anyone else with 2.5 stone (15kg) to lose?

Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

I'll join in too! Was very slim in my teens right up to mid thirties then it just went wrong. I have put on over 3 stone over the last few years and as a short person this cannot be hidden! I've had to throw out so many clothes and even my big winter
coats can't zip up. So ashamed and can't afford all the new clothes I need so look a mess clothing wise also.

I'd love to join. Need to lose 3 st. Started today. Will aim to stop eating sweets and chocolate and at the weekend have a gin and slimline tonic rather than wine. I eat too much cheese and bread so will cut that out. I need to do some exercise as I've a sedentary job and am too cosy WFH. Aiming to lose 1 St by mid March as I'm going on holiday. Refuse to just keep buying bigger clothes.

My goal will definitely be at least 2.5 stones after all this eating. My plan is only eating between 10am and 6pm and logging 1200 calories on MFP. I dont really drink alcohol, so thats not an issue.I'm also plodding through C25K but only managing once or twice a week. It's a real struggle as my body is just so heavy to move.

I've just had the NYE photos sent over and they are hideous as expected. I knew they would be seeing as though I couldn't actually fit into any clothes to wear out last night!

I also have 2/2.5 stone to lose. I keep losing and gaining the same weight.
I am starting tomorrow and planning to do fast 800 (maybe 1000 if struggle) for a week or 2 as a kick start.
I will weigh in on Mondays.

For info - The fast 800 books £5 in whsmith at the moment.

I didn't have masses of time today but I looked into a chart with multiple lines for everyone but it seems there are too many people for that to work.

Another idea would be to add everyone who is definitely "in"'s weight together and subtract weight lost every week so it's like a group effort/target. Downside would be some might lose more than others.

Or I could do a big spreadsheet with a line for every username and simple + or - of pounds/kgs change every week, in username order. Not very exciting, I know! 😅

Or of course we could just ditch the recording part.

@iamloading it's your group, what do you think?

@tulips27 ah that's so kind of you. I'm happy to go with what the majority want. The only thing I would say which corresponds with what the lady said below about the slimming world group...
For 2.5 stone (ish) we are all in it for the long haul (sadly!) So before we add over 50 people to a spreadsheet shall we just chat on here for the next month and then look at charting something from Feb as I suspect it will be a much smaller number who remain then?

I got tested for food intolerances and got told wheat, dairy, potatoes, pineapple and peppers. I've cut them all out and it's been surprisingly ok as I feel great and have lost about a stone so far. Didn't even pine for roast potatoes on Christmas Day. Diets just don't work for me as I feel deprived but approaching it from the angle of wanting to feel better and less bloated and am not feeling deprived at all as I know I could have the stuff but am really enjoying feeling better. It's only been a month but hoping it will continue.

I’m in too. I’ve got 2stone 5 lbs to lose.
started today on some sort of med diet hybrid - most meals low carb but I include pulses in some because they’re healthy fibre.

Will be logging on MFP.

I don't mind not logging my weight here, I use My Fitness Pal for logging usually.

I'm determined to drink more water, I've not drunk much the last few days and I can always tell because it starts to feel as if I'm getting a urine infection 😳

I'd like to join. I need to take accountability.
Had a baby early 2022 and I've just not lost the baby weight and I've ate so much crap. Zero time to exercise either.

I have access to a spin bike and rowing machine, along with an apple plus subscription that I just don't use - that needs to change.

Got a holiday in September that I'd like to have lost 2 stone (at least!) for and also to be comfortable in family pictures.

I was dreading my first weigh in, but BLOODY HELL!!! It's so bad.

I am thoroughly embarrassed to go back to work!!! I've put on 12lbs in 3 weeks. Have i even got anything to wear??? This just highlights the issues I have with food.

I can only be positive and think that this is the heaviest I'm ever going to be. Oh my days.

I'll join please. Need to lose the same 2.5stone. I'm not going to really weigh as I don't want to see it as a diet but just as a healthier lifestyle. Hopefully if I eat better it will help the heartburn I've started to develop again.

Well, first official weigh in and I'm up 8lbs in 3 weeks. Considering the amount of Baileys I drank, could've been worse.... I'll be doing a mix of calorie counting (using James Smith calculator, so not too low), hugely reducing booze and processed food, and a bit of 5:2. I find that easy to do on busy work days like today.

Just weighed in.
76 kg. Which given I am the height of a short hobbit is not good. Target is 60kg which feels virtually impossible to be honest. But just got to keep at it one day at a time I suppose.

Please can I join? Thought I had 15kg to lose, turns out it's nearer 20kg. Just weighed in at 94kg and would like to get to 75kg. Got period pain and a cough today so not feeling especially motivated.

Hi,
Where do I start? I'm 5ft 1 1/2in and I have no waistline. I was also slim as a teenager and until I hit around 30. Anyhow I am now 42 and have previously lost weight successfully but can't seem to keep it off as I go back to my bad habits! These are eating chocolate and sweet goods in abundance! I really need to be more organised and plan my meals as well as drink more water. I've not weighed myself today by I'm guessing I'm around 11st 8lbs. Will update after I've got myself out of bed - I'm mortified as nothing fits!
