Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

I'm in! Another one started the fast 800 keto. I did it last year and lost 2.5 stone pretty quickly and safely however I lost my way and have put it all back on.

I have a smart hula hoop which I'm hoping to do 30 minutes a day - it took me a few goes to get my technique right.

Onwards and downwards people! We've got this 💪🏻

Just weighed in…73.1kg. I weigh only on Mondays so that is now my official start point 😁 Did workout 1 of Caroline Girvsn Iron series this morning - aiming to di the 6 weeks of that as a kick start …but as DH says…you cannot out train a poor diet !!

How quickly did you lose the 2.5 stone

I'm already wavering as DH as made bacon sandwiches. I've moved to another room !

I've also got on the scales this morning. 73.9kg. The healthy weight BMI bracket for my height starts at 64kg so I definitely need to lose this extra 10kg at least!

Porridge for breakfast today. I've been reading about the recommended 30 different plant foods a week goal so I'm going to attempt that, it should make my meals healthier in the process. Have ordered lots of healthy food to arrive later this week.

We are definitely twins…64kg is my threshold too

@PomRuns I lost it in 3 months but I was very strict with it. I use almond milk and have the meal replacement shakes every day. I'm also intermittent fasting 18:6

saflybive s mild nut allergy so can’t have almond 😞

I need to lose around 2 stone. I lost it all in 2021 as i had to fit into my wedding dress but it's all come back on.

I used to religiously use my exercise bike however that broke and I have done nothing since. I think I'm mainly going to focus on diet because I'm an avid snacker

Another 2.5 stoner here!

Lost 16lbs last year, put 8 back on 😫but got back into it yesterday.

I usually walk 10k a day so am keeping that up. DD gets married at the end of the year and I so want to lose the weight by then.

Going to keep to SW principles as have all the books. Also have the fast 800 book that I can try if I get desperate!

3 store to lose, 40 also with high cholesterol.
I'm ditching the booze as well, but my main focus is over hauling my diet and being a healthier & stronger version of myself.

@popcornfrenzy what is fast800 keto? I followed keto diet a few years ago and lost a good amount of weight but eventually slipped back into my old eating habits and put the weight back on and extra. I've not heard of fast800 keto before

Weighed myself this morning-86.8kg.

I'm mortified but not surprised.

I think I'll try and do similar and focus on 5kg at a time because I need to lose a LOT.

Im hoping to join too. Just weighed myself after avoiding the scales for 6 months and it was the eye opener I needed to see I was very close to being in the obese category.

I lost a considerable amount of weight in 2021, then started a new relationship and did the whole eating out and socialising with lots of booze that saw the weight creep back up, before suffering a family bereavement 6 months ago and eating my feelings.

I’m hoping to lose 2 and a half stone, loosely following a low carb way of eating and intermittent fasting. I start tomorrow, I’m someone who needs to see the results so plan to weigh myself as I go along.

what do other people see as their weakness when it comes to weight loss?

ok so day 1- I’m fasting 1800-1200.
15 min run and 30 min fast walk this morning.

1200 Greek yogurt with berries 250
1500 cheese, cherry tomatoes 250
1730 spiced chicken with green salad 300
i just had a handful of tortilla chips though as felt needed a few carbs/ something crunchy 100

Hoping yo get through next 2 days - then will be in the zone ish

I eat last night at 6.30 and restarted today at 12.30 - I’m having black coffee and water in the morning.
Breakfast two boiled eggs and one slice of bread and butter
Lumch roast beef sandwich and a few crisps.
One apple.
Dinner brocolli carrots 5 small new potatoes and roast beef.
4 cups of tea with sugar.
Walked - 6000 steps.
I will start using MFP.
Not sure of calories today.

I'm fasting 16:8, only eating between 9.30 and 17.30.
I've had two ryvitas with butter and brie for breakfast, a satsuma and some blueberries, two coffees with milk, chilli con carne with rice for tea. Tonight I'll have water and black decaf coffee.

Got through my first two days without too much trouble - the next few of working without snacking are going to be the real test.

That being said, I’m pretty hungry right now, must be time for another cup of tea.

Joining! Starting tomorrow. Plan is to cut down on carbs, cut out all the junk food / sweets / booze and to exercise 5 times per week (mixture of walking / gym / running. Have about 2 stone to lose at a guess (stepping on the scales for the first time in a long time tomorrow morning Envy)

Me!! I lost 4 stone over the last two years and have regained a stone, now have around 2.5 I would like to go.
I know low carb is really the only thing that works for me so that’s my aim, but kicking sugar would be a good start!

700-1000 depending on how hungry I am. I'm not super strict.

15.4 stones for me this morning, I've actually lost a couple of pounds over Christmas as I've had this crappy virus... at least one good thing came out of it!

Well my Monday weigh in wasn't great... My scales need new batteries!
Will have to sort that tomorrow.
I did stop eating at around 3pm and not feeling hungry so will just drink water now until I go to sleep.
Exercise will start tomorrow too.
