i have just signed up for a gym membership and have made it my goal to lose weight after quite a few pieces of clothes feel too tight. However, I want a goal weight to work towards. Im 5 ft 10.

Tall women - how much do you weigh and what is your UK dress size?

I’m 5’9, consistently fluctuated around the ten stone mark, size 8/10 in clothes.

Currently pregnant, still around ten stone and wearing size 12 maternity jeans?!

Clareicles · 14/11/2022 18:25

I'm 5ft10 and currently lurking around the 69kg mark (no idea what that is in stone). According to BMI, I'm bang in the middle of healthy weight. (Aware BMI has its own flaws, but easiest way to measure)

Probably a size 10 in trousers and a 12 on top, due to massive boobs.

Size, however, depends on which shop I'm in/what the item is/whether there is a full moon/other sorcery known only to the gremlins who size female clothing!

Wizenedolehag · 14/11/2022 18:27

5ft10 and over the last 15 years I’ve fluctuated between 9.5 and 10.5 stone .. currently approaching menopause and at the heavier end - normally a size 10

use583298 · 14/11/2022 18:30

I'm 5'10" 69kg and size 14, I have got quite broad bones though so clothes size quite big

MintJulia · 14/11/2022 18:32

I'm 5'8", 59 years old and currently 10st10lb

I feel good at this weight, have plenty of energy, run twice a week and wear a size 10 or 12 depending on brand.

RagzRebooted · 14/11/2022 18:33

5'10" my goal weight is 11.5 stone. Currently 16 stone. I look fine up to about 13.

itssquidstella · 14/11/2022 18:33

I’m 5'10" or 11" depending on who's measuring 😂 Not sure of my current weight as I’m six months postpartum and haven't bothered to weigh myself, but I’m back in my pre-pregnancy clothes and have regained muscle definition etc so probably back to around 67/68kg. I’m a size 10, more or less, although it varies from brand to brand.

KikiniBamalamm · 14/11/2022 18:34

5ft 10, 11 stone 5 and a size 12 on top, 14 on bottom (classic pear shape)

Somethingvague · 14/11/2022 18:35

5ft9, currently 11st. Size 10/12. Probably the heaviest I've ever been but still look ok (I hope/think!)

Icecreamandapplepie · 14/11/2022 18:35

I was 10 stone in my twenties, 11 to 11 and a half stone in my thirties.

After having my third child at 38, along with a load of stress, I've piled it on and currently 14 stone.

Not happy on it all, so need to get cracking now I'm 44 and kids getting a bit easier!

Northernsoullover · 14/11/2022 18:36

5'10" and I weigh 10.5lb.

alanabennett · 14/11/2022 18:38

RagzRebooted · 14/11/2022 18:33

5'10" my goal weight is 11.5 stone. Currently 16 stone. I look fine up to about 13.

Virtually identical here! Started intermittent fasting today, in fact.

thebear1 · 14/11/2022 18:40

5'9 and weigh just under 13 stone and really unhappy about it. Trying to lose some of it. Feel happier with my weight at 11 stone 7. Thyroid levels are currently under so hoping when balanced it will get easier to lose.

AlannaOfTrebond · 14/11/2022 18:40

I'm 5'10 and 75kg (11 stone 11 pounds) and I'm size 12.

I do carry a lot of muscle though as I weight train 4 or 5 times a week.

adriftabroad · 14/11/2022 18:44

5 9 and about 9.5 or 10 stone.

Always have been. Since menopause look too thin with any fat on stomach. So sie 8/10 but 14 around waist. (51)

Flowersonthewall6 · 14/11/2022 18:44

14 stone and size 14, I carry the weight well but trying to loose a stone ideally 2 stone. I just like food too much

BlueRaincoat1 · 14/11/2022 18:45

I'm just over 5 10", and weigh just over 11 stone. Around 70kg. I like to lose at least half a stone. I'm a size 10 on top, 12 in trousers now. I was just over 9 stone at one pint when breat feeding a very big baby and looked skeletal. I wouldn't recommend that. I think 10 stone would be great.

PermanentTemporary · 14/11/2022 18:48

Im 5'9", 53 and weigh 97kg unfortunately. A couple of years ago I got down to 83kg but that took a lot of exercise and tight calorie counting. I keep restarting... ultimate goal is a healthy BMI at 77kg.

surreygirl1987 · 14/11/2022 18:48

I'm 5 foot 10. I feel good at 10 and a half to 11 stone (size 10). I'm currently 13 stone and a size 14 though... got lots to lose to get back where I was!

chouxpetitfilous · 14/11/2022 18:55

5"10 here and just over 11 stone.
It's the heaviest I've been.

Watchthesunrise · 14/11/2022 19:04

I'm 5"9, mid-forties, and currently about 85kg, Size 14 (sometimes 16 on bottoms). In my twenties I fluctuated around 73kg but I'm resigned to the fact that I'll never get back there. Sometimes I'm bothered by it.

BlueRabbitWasNaughty · 14/11/2022 19:04

I'm about 5'10'' and 70kg (11 stoneish) also the heaviest I've ever been so am going to make the effort to get back down to about 10 stone 4 which is a comfortable size 10 for me. I'm still wearing my size 10s but it's a squeeze right now and I don't want to have to buy new things.

Pamparam · 14/11/2022 19:19

5'10.5 - 11 stone 3 ish. Large 12!

PeloFondo · 14/11/2022 19:22

A shit ton Grin
5ft 10, 16st 12 and size 16
I want to get back to around 14 stone which puts me at a size 14

Mumto32022 · 14/11/2022 19:26

5ft 8.5 (174cms) I’m 56kg size 8
