i have just signed up for a gym membership and have made it my goal to lose weight after quite a few pieces of clothes feel too tight. However, I want a goal weight to work towards. Im 5 ft 10.

Tall women - how much do you weigh and what is your UK dress size?

5 ft 9 58kg dress size 8. Good luck with your fitness journey

pinkbegonia · 14/11/2022 19:35

5’9” 68kg bmi 22 size 12. I’d like to be 65kg , although I’m very active I like eating too much to restrict my diet.

BeautifulWar · 14/11/2022 19:37

5'10" and I weigh 10.5lb.

Snap! Size 10/12'

PrincessConsuelaBanana · 14/11/2022 19:39

A lot 😲
5ft 10, currently at my heaviest ever - 17 stone, and a dress size 18. I want to get back down to 14 stone as that equates to a dress size 14 for me. At my lightest / smallest (ad an adult!) I was 12 and a half stone and a size 12. I have wide hips and a large chest and the women in my family are all large / heavy, even the few ‘skinny’ ones are surprisingly heavy for their size! My size 8/10 cousin is 11.5 stone for example.

We sound the same Smile
I'm the only female in the family (cousins etc) and I'm built like the males Grin

Ahhh a kindred spirit! We do! Hi 😁
funnily we’re a huge family of (huge) women 😂my dad, the lone male, is one of the only skinnies!
good luck to us at getting back to the promised land of 14 stone 💪

soupmaker · 14/11/2022 20:05

I'm 5' 9". Early 50s. Always been heavy and currently about 15 stone and size 18 in most clothes. I'm an apple with slim hips. I run and lift weights, am fitter than I've ever been but will never be a size 10 again as I like food too much.

SallyAnn32 · 14/11/2022 20:14

5'8", weigh 12 stone (which feels ginormous to me) but I'm still side 8-10. I just don't get the scales!!

AlannaOfTrebond · 14/11/2022 18:40

I'm 5'10 and 75kg (11 stone 11 pounds) and I'm size 12.

I do carry a lot of muscle though as I weight train 4 or 5 times a week.

Same except I can thank my horses for my 💪 I look pretty good & athletic but have gained a stone since DC so was more svelte than I am now

Irisbouquet · 14/11/2022 20:16

size 10/12

BendingSpoons · 14/11/2022 20:20

5 ft 10. Currently weigh 74kg. Would like to get down to under 70kg, but 72kg is probably more realistic.

gingercat02 · 14/11/2022 20:22

174cm (so 5'9 and a bit) 75kg, which is more than I would like. Under 70kg is my goal

SouperNoodle · 14/11/2022 20:24

Just under 5"9.
Goal weight is 10/11 stone.
Currently 14 stone and in size 16.

IhateMattHancock · 14/11/2022 20:25

174cm (5ft8ish), 64kg, size 12 mostly

fairycakesandtea7 · 14/11/2022 20:25

Approx 14 stone, used to be 12 stone but put on weight after my arthritis got worse and never lost it 🥲

PeloFondo · 14/11/2022 20:32

@PrincessConsuelaBanana I remember my mum saying about me
"Whyyyy is she so tall?!"

My dad "well your dad was a wrestler and your uncle is a heavyweight boxer. Were you expecting a ballet dancer?"

beonmywaythen · 14/11/2022 20:34

My healthy weight is 150lb, or 67kg ish. I'm a bit higher than that now and trying to get back to 150.

mondaytosunday · 14/11/2022 20:42

5'11" and was 10 stone 10lbs (about 68kg) and size 10-12 when I met my husband at 39, but looked a bit too thin, and I exercised every day to maintain it plus was very careful about food. A size 12-14 would be better, so say 75kg. But I weigh far more than that now! Frankly I'd be happy to be a size 16,

Garysmum · 14/11/2022 20:46

I am 5'10 and have been everything between 48 and 105kg.
Currently a very fat 80kg ish.

ARoastPotato · 14/11/2022 20:49

5”9 57kg/8 stone 10/11ish and I’m a size 8, could squeeze into a 6 at some of the more generous shops.

good luck- I really found Pilates to be great, not a huge calorie burn but I’m really seeing more a difference in tone than I did doing weights at the gym!

burnoutbabe · 14/11/2022 20:51

5 10 and around 12.7 stone, size 14.

Don't think I'd ever get to a 12. Even at say 11 7 I am a 14.
