fedda · 05/02/2008 21:46

I will but today my weight was more then i thought it would be so I'm kind of scared.

katylessbumpy · 05/02/2008 21:49

i'm scared about weighing in too fedda .feel like i've gained this week

OP posts:
fedda · 05/02/2008 21:56

thank you for your support, katy. I hope you're wrong this time.

pollywobbledoodle · 05/02/2008 21:58

i was just thinking about healthy snacks today....one of the things i have noticed that i do is i think i fancy something chocolatey and i try to divert myself and eat an apple and maybe a bunch of grapes and then when that doesn't hit the spot i have the choc anyway......and although i have had healthy things i've also had 100-150 cals on top of the choc.....so if i really fancy choccy (and lets face it fruit is sweet but it doesn't have the same mouth feel) i'm going to have it (or if my willpower is high ....brush my teeth quickly so it tastes horrid )

well...putting the diet on hold/being barely mobile means that the 7lbs i lost by xmas is all back on...i'm back to 13 stone again, i have a roll the size of a carpet offcut above my jeans and my pubes have disappeared......this time it is serious and me and paul mckenna are having a nightly/afternoonly get together on my bed and i have his 90 day journal {new stationary=serious].....i have a bit of a problem with him going on about admiring my healthy body but otherwise the ideas he is reinforcing make sense. and it worked for my mum!

so
brekkie muesli
lunch(out) tuna, (easy on the)mayo and salad sarnie. cappuccino
eve pasta with veg sauce, half pitta. 2 pancakes with sugar and lemon

katylessbumpy · 05/02/2008 21:59

my support has been a bit crap today, bloody internet .well i can only see what tomorrow brings.

OP posts:
katylessbumpy · 05/02/2008 22:03

polly i do the chocolate thing too lol
i have started to think more about what i really want to eat and then waiting 10 mins to decide if i really want it.if i do then i have it.it seems to be helping a bit

OP posts:
pollywobbledoodle · 05/02/2008 22:08

its interesting because one of the distinctions Pmc makes between a craving (an emotional wish for food) and real hunger is that real hunger (for food) isn't urgent and can wait a while, he suggests leaving it 10 mins and seeing what happens... (and now i will stopgoing on about p mck!)

katylessbumpy · 05/02/2008 22:12

pmc talks sense though.
i really need to find time to listen to his cd.i'll just have to make do with the weekly weigh in aaaarrrgh.my sister put a pound on at her's tonight and i ate the same as her this weekend so i'm really dreading it this week [gulp]

I hopped on the scales this morning for a quick peek... I was showing a pound and a half gain

I START AFRESH TOMORROW... but DH has arranged a meal out Salad it is, I've also said I will drive so that will cut out the alcohol calories

fedda · 05/02/2008 22:32

You are very welcome, Katy.

LoveMyGirls · 06/02/2008 07:11

I've stayed the same so far but i haven't been too good with eating and I have been drinking wine and champagne so my own fault and i'm on my period (does that matter?) hopefully this will make me work much harder next week (and the next few days til weigh in as well, i'd like to lose at least 1lb!)

LoveMyGirls · 06/02/2008 07:12

Meant to add todays plan = walk to school and to soft play, run round after kids then walk home and only eat healthily and drink alot!!!

katylessbumpy · 06/02/2008 08:31

off to fat club [gulp] i'll report back later
staying the same is better than a gain

OP posts:
Jahan · 06/02/2008 09:08

Stayed the same.
Its disappointing but I can't complain seeing as I didn't put much effort in!

Apparently, Monday was the most popular day of the year for sickies. So, its probably down to this time of the year and people feeling a bit blue etc that caused most of us to lack diet willpower.
Well, at least its over with so come on girls, lets look forward to a good loss next week! 2lbs, hey?

discoverlife · 06/02/2008 10:05

I put on 2 lbs. Boo Hoo. Hangs head in shame. I guess Im just not motivated enough. I have all the knowledge, but not the desire. LOL. I will try better for next week, I really will have to join that Slimming world class though.

Hopeysgirlwasntbig · 06/02/2008 11:09

morning, not sure whether to weigh myself today because I only started on Friday. But I've been a good girl. Made celeriac and leek soup the other day and it's delish. Also made fat free tzaziki. Am currently eating 2 slices of ww bread (1 point) with griddled mushrooms and half a tin of tomatoes. I still can't quite believe how big I've got, I've NEVER been this big (blub)

fedda · 06/02/2008 11:53

Stayed the same which means I put on 2 kg since December.

susiecutiemincepies · 06/02/2008 12:49

Hi

Interesting day for me yesterday.... this will make you laugh... take a look here

I forgot to weigh this morning. I SO get your point polly I also think you are right, abut the snacking thing. MAybe, you could / we could apply PMC's theory to eating choc. perhaps if you have a small amount, then wait, putting it firmly away somewhere, that you will actually be satisfied with the initial feeling in your mouth IYSWIM?

I AM GIVING UP CHOCOLATE FOR LENT

I am. I can do it. I know I can. I dont eat a huge amount really, so I dont think it'll be tooooo hard. >

I am chucking out the chocolate biccies in the cupboard, as I will eat them if they are there. I was going to chuck out the sweets in the sweet tin, but have decided not to as sometimes just sucking a boiled sweet takes the craving away.

I will weigh tomorrow.

We might be going to Newcastle for the weekend. guess what..... yes... DH working again. He just can't turn down the £800 weekend he gets paid to do it, so, we will go there if its def going ahead.
BY my calculations, he has earned and extra £2400 if what he tells me is correct about getting £400 a shift on a sat night and sunday afternoon/eve. we will see. I have no idea, I dont ever see his bank statements. Still I will this month I think I will fly too, even if it cost £200. I've decided. If it means we are together, and he has earned all this extra, its not alot of money.... is it???

Anyway, am being SO good with food again now. more motivated again. It HAS to start shifting soon, it just HAS to. I am certain that the morphine not helping. will chat to GP this arvo about it.

amazonianwoman · 06/02/2008 14:17

Much better mood today

B: 2 x weetabix, tea, actimel
L: ham/olives/houmous salad, tea, banana
Snack: the last jammie dodger in the house

Walked for nearly 2hrs this morning. Briskly

Jahan · 06/02/2008 14:20

I have to post my food diary now so I don't eat anything else after I've told you lot what I'm having/have had

2 weetabix, small cheese on toast, coffee
left over dahl, pitta bread
small piece out of a big piece of home made cake that a friend dropped over (darn! the rest will keep calling me!)
salmon, boiled pots, home made mushy peas a la Nigella style

Jahan · 06/02/2008 14:21

Well done Amozonianwoman!
Keep going!

squilly · 06/02/2008 14:32

I blew it today. Went to town with a friend, ended up at M&S and despite saying I didn't want a bun, I ended up with a huge chunk of carrot cake. I also asked my friend to get me a skinny cappucino and overheard her NOT asking for the skinny bit. I should have put her right, but I didn't bother. Sat and ate/drank the lot...even the little biscuit they give you

I get weighed Friday, so I'll have to be extra, extra good tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed that this weeks goodness will outweigh todays badness, iykwim!!

Off to clean the bathroom and lose a few more calories!!!

Have fun everyone.
