I try to make it last, unlike someone sat less than 2" away from me.

katylessbumpy · 30/01/2008 21:57

I bite the top off and lick the middle out.... but DH pops it in whole he is a big fella though, Not big and fat big, but everything about him is big. He's nearly 6 ft 4". he has lovely long leggies, long arms and big strong hands. Broad strong shoulders too. Oh, and a wonderfully firm chest. Perfect for sleeping on.... he just big everywhere really. Big and strong. yep. all big and lovely and strong. Nothing I'd change about his body. I even love his slightly bigger than before, round tummy. Its just at the right height for me to rest my head on when he's standing up.

Can you tell I love him?

I miss him now time together did us the world of good. reminded me just why we are together. And him too. He has just been on the phone saying how his mornings are not the same without seeing little bab-bab ( what he calls her) bouncing up and down, or posting things into his shoes. hes even missing her pulling his chest hair first thing in the morning.

Ok, i'll stop now!
I'm eating a long marshmallow. with a cup of hot milk ( skimmed ) hope it will help me sleep ( the milk, not the marshmallow! )

currantbunmum · 30/01/2008 22:22

There's nothing quite like a lovely, big tall DH to make you feel all petite and waif like, I love it.

discoverlife · 30/01/2008 22:57

I got the best of all worlds then. I have DH who is just the right size, slightly taller than me, just enough so that my shoulder fits under his arm. Hairless (sorry ladies I can't styand hairy men) and beautifully blonde.
DS1 who is a huge bear at 6' 1" and loves giving his Mum bearhugs.
DS2 who at 10 yo, is the irrepresible one who wants hugs and cuddles and to sit in my lap all day long.
DD1 who is my chum, the one I get my hair done with, who sits with me drinking hot chocolates with whipped cream and marshmallows, and joins in the moaning when I complain of living amounst so much testostresone.

discoverlife · 30/01/2008 23:25

Sounds like you had a wonderful time them Susie, it won't be long before he's home a bit more often. Hold in there.

susiecutiemincepies · 30/01/2008 23:51

ah, thanks DL. I'm trying to hold on here. Its so hard at times you know. It just all gets on top of me. Isobel is going through a really difficult phase at the moment. It is bloody challenging to say the least. I've been on the phon in tears tonight to DH, just at the end of my tether again. He was so lovely. So kind and caring. So HIM again. Not like he was last week and the week before.
He apologized every day for being so horrible and so distant with me last week. He was tired too and also finding it hard being away from us. Its his defense mechanism I guess. If he switches off, it cant bother him. Don't know how he does it, but he does and quite successfully.

Still, I feel much happier generally now, so I can really concentrate on loosing weight. I need to for me, so much. I hate looking in the mirror. I hate the sight of my naked flesh. I"ve never been this big, ever. Its GOT to go. I WILL do this you know, I have to. I'm so determined. NO more crap to eat. NO chocs, no puds, no doughnuts. nothing lke that at all. Sensible food.
I've cut sugar out of tea and coffee too, which is a god long term change, as well as going to skimmed milk from semi skimmed. LIttle things like that simply must make a difference. >

discoverlife · 30/01/2008 23:57

You are definatly more determined than I am. I guess I have gotten so used to being a roly poly Mum I have forgotten what its like to be slim.

This week has been rough here as well. DH can't come near me as the new drug he is on supresess his immune system and if he catches a bug it could go really bad for him, Ive been so ill Ive been crying with it and it just doesn't seem to be getting better. Now DS1 & DS2 have come down with it. DS2 has been seen and has a rattle in his chest as well, but the antibiotics seem to be working for him. DS1 will struggle for a while he says, but DH looks like he may de-camp for a few days until its safe for him to come home.

discoverlife · 30/01/2008 23:58

Off to bed now, goodnight all.

LoveMyGirls · 31/01/2008 08:20

You're having a rough time of it, i think its so hard to lose weight anyway but when life is throwing things at you its even harder, i think it's good you're still keeping it up and i hope everything else falls into place soon for you, though as im new to this thread and havent read all previous posts i don't know everything that has been happening but i wish you all the best of luck.

I've had my porridge with half tsp of honey again today, i'm now having 1 half sugar in my tea.

It's really windy and wet out so i wont be walking today but might go swimming tonight if can summon the energy though i'm starting work at 7.15 until 6 tomorrow so I might save my energy for then, tomorrow afternoon is going to be tricky too (got fairly new baby mindee who is teething and asthmatic plus dd2 who is 2 and a half and my new mindee who is 18mths and i'm hoping to settle them all for a sleep about 12.30pm though might put the first 2 down and wait until baby wakes then put 18mth old down, i'll work something out but i'm not expecting it to go without any problems ) I've started doing an extra school run again this week after a couple of weeks off from it so that should help a bit. My weigh in is tomorrow so i wanted to have a last push but i really don't know if i have the energy for swimming as it really takes it out of me!

belcantavinissima · 31/01/2008 10:16

hi girls, sorry i have been away from computer as dh kept disconnecting the broadband as it was 'squeaking' .a ploy to get me away from MN and doing the housework methinks
so i am back, i lost 3 lbs this week at ww- so so far 8lbs in 2 weeks- hurrah! though keep spoiling it by eating one too many ww cakes!

Jahan · 31/01/2008 13:04

Discoverlife - sorry you're having such a rough week. Hoping you all get better soon. Its not easy.

I haven't seen her in over a year so am really looking forward to it!

Wendyjayb · 31/01/2008 13:15

amazonianwoman · 31/01/2008 14:05

I lasted all of about 6 days in January Please can I come back

Did manage to lose around 4-5lbs but have probably put it all back on already.

I NEED to get back on track. I'm doing a 600km charity ride in August and CANNOT do it when I'm more than 2stone overweight.

Someone give me a slap and a point in the right direction...

katylessbumpy · 31/01/2008 14:08

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 31/01/2008 14:35

I've been good so far today, finding it really easy this time round so must mean I'm going to do it once and for all or maybe it's because i've joined WW and this thread and everyone is being so supportive.

I've noticed my tummy has slimmed down alot and i'm convinced it's because i'm not eating bread more than because i'm losing weight, anyone knows whats going to happen when i reach my target and i haven't eaten any bread? Will my tummy instantly blow up again or will i develop a wheat intolerance? Should I have the odd bit of bread now and again rather than giving it up totally?

LoveMyGirls · 31/01/2008 14:37

Might have chilli and wholemeal tortilla for dinner or maybe jacket potato and chilli...hummmmm

katylessbumpy · 31/01/2008 14:45

if i eat bread i blow up like a balloon but i love it lol
tummy seems to have settled a little now.good job as i'm off to school soon.
discoverlife, how are you feeling today? x

hiya jahan, are you managing to be good for tomorrows visit?

wendyjayb, well done on refusing the cake.you'll find it get's easier to say no and you'll start to crave healthy foods as they make you feel better

ok,i'm having my hair done tonight.i can't decide whether to just have my roots done [blonde] or have blonde weaved through and some darker flashes to funk it up a bit.what do you think.it's shoulder length with a few layers and a slight wave.

OP posts:
belcantavinissima · 31/01/2008 15:13

hi katy, i think you should go for the latter hair option. is it allover blonde now? i have had both- from allover platinum to lots of different colour blondes to what it is now- dark brunette! am loving it now actually- it looks sleek and shiny for the firsat time in ooh 20 yrs!!!

belcantavinissima · 31/01/2008 15:14

lovemygirls- i have a wheat intolerance. i can eat a bit but if i have toast for breakfast, sandwhiches for lunch and pasta for tea i blow up a huge hard bloated tummy and look 7 months pg i kid you not!!!!

Jahan · 31/01/2008 16:04

I think latter too Katy. You'll look stunning.
I don't think I can be really good for tomorrows visit but I know I can make it up.

I stayed at my mums with my pregnant sis for 5 days last week and I swear, we stuffed our faces but I did not gain a single pound!
The joy of breastfeeding, hey?! I think I'll carry on forever
So I'm going to allow for tomorrow too.

MrsFish · 31/01/2008 16:13
