I don't know if this is her exact recipe but something along these lines;
boil a load of frozen peas with a clove or 2 of garlic and some mint leaves (I happen to have some but don't always use). When they are done, whizz up with some creme fraiche (I use yoghurt if being healthy) and seasoning. Its really nice.

Jahan · 06/02/2008 15:39

Woohoo!
Well done Katy! I'm there with you next week!

MrsFish · 06/02/2008 17:05

Put on 1 lb this week, I'm hoping it's because AF is visiting!

Anyway here's todays menu:-

B=Weetabix, orange juice.
S=Bananana.
L=Marmite sandwich (wm bread), apple, bluberries.
S=Options and wasabi beans.

Dinner will be a Pizza Express Margarita, and some salad.

Fingers crossed for next week, but well done all the "Losers"

katylessbumpy · 06/02/2008 17:32

try not to worry currantbunmum,your menu today sounds good,just stay positive and you'll see a loss next week

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 06/02/2008 17:45

I had 2 little nibbles but now i'm having my WW lasagne as compromise and munched on salad while i was waiting!

Does AF make a differnce to your weight because that would explain why i've not lost anything so far this week!

LoveMyGirls · 06/02/2008 17:49

So far today i've had.........

B- porridge and honey
L- 2 ryvita with philli and cucumber and half a melon
S- 2 apples (i was hungry!)
D- WW lasagne and salad (alright i'll admit 2 bites of pizza)

I'm still hungry.........Well i have walked a bit today and AF is here - I swear she saps your energy and makes you ravenous!

LoveMyGirls · 06/02/2008 17:50

I want choc biscuits!

currantbunmum · 06/02/2008 18:00

Absolutley saps your energy, and makes me want to eat chocolate, I'm not normally that bothered about chocolate, but a day or so before AF arrives I could eat bars and bars!

susiecutiemincepies · 06/02/2008 22:56

'tis ok really Katy of course still friends
Also, on the teething, I found the Ambesol Liquid is really good. she hates it when I first do it, then I notice she is def more comfy. I cannot get the gel to go on where its needed and takes longer to apply than a few dabs of liquid on my finger... Also, medised for sure...

Polly, i[m always hungry in the eve. I have been out today and got some dried fruit. I know still not great, but better than sweets and choc. I will def do it for lent. I'm good when i really decide to do something.

I also bought some Lecithin powder/granuals. Supposed to help with the digestion of dietry fats, and good for recucing cholesterol. So, thought it worth a try. I also noticed when i took the teaspoon it suggests, neat from the spoon, i was not hungry at all after i took it. It tastes really odd, not unpleasant, but leaves a kind of oily feeling in the mouth. in a satisfying odd way... worth a try I thought.

I also have some grains to much on. sunflower, pumpkin, linseed, seseme seeds allm iked together. I like them all, and they are high in omega 3 so not bad either...

TODAYS HEALTHY FACT / TIP
3 dried Apricots = one portion from your 5 a day. high in fibre and all sorts of other good things i cannot remember! Good hey though?

Be good all.

MrsFish · 06/02/2008 23:02

Well I am quite proud of myself tonight on my meal out

I had smoked salmon for starter, it was a thin piece and I only ate one of the pieces of bread with it (no butter)
For the main meal I had wild mushroom and spinach risotto and only had half of it, even though it was delicious and I could have eaten it all. I drove so no wine but must have drank about a litre of water. For dessert I had a black coffee and 3 of the little petis fours (god knows what they are called that you have with coffee, one of them was a piece of fudge and two mini meringues with fruit on top

I have also decided to give up alcohol for Lent, apart from one bottle of fizz on my birthday

I am feeling positive again, we've been invited to a black tie do on the 26th March so that is my next goal, I want to lose at least half a stone by then which is more than doable if I am very good and start the exercise again.

Off to bed now as I'm knackered

MrsFish · 06/02/2008 23:03

Oh and I am a great advocate of medised, I actually had to wean ds1 off it at one point [

LoveMyGirls · 07/02/2008 07:50

Hi everyone well i weighed myself this morning (offical weigh in tomorrow) AND i've lost 2lbs so i'm really really motivated today to try and see if i can get another 1lb off by tomorrow! Even if not i'm still really pleased with 2lb considering I havent been as good as i could have this week and i've had af.

Now i'm having half semi and half skimmed milk in my porridge and no treats today any snacking will be fruit and if i'm starving by tonight I will have a bowl of porridge!
