polly I do like a nice fresh baked baguette now and again (preferably filled with bacon, brie and cranberry, or steak and stilton.). But it really has to be fresh baked and still warm. I also like popping a part baked roll in the oven when I'm having soup. But apart from times like that which are once a fortnight, bread doesn't bother me. Neither do potatoes, Pasta I am also so so on, but I do like a bit of rice. One of my all time favourite dishes is Chicken fried rice.

pollywobbledoodle · 19/02/2008 19:28

i think if i could give up carbs i'd quarter my daily intake....

discoverlife · 19/02/2008 20:00

To put it in perspective, we stopped at the Little Chef on the way down and I had the 'Hunters Chicken' (barbaqued Chicken fillet topped with bacon and cheese) with a salad rather than the saute potatoes. If there is any left overs and Im doing the mummy hoover bit, its the meat I always go for. So forcing myself to eat a 'balanced diet' when my body was probably getting all it needs for energy from meat and veg was going to cause problems. Bloody Domestic science lessons in school.

fedda · 19/02/2008 21:35

I had too many nuts today. My tummy hurts!

katylessbumpy · 19/02/2008 22:08

B = 2 nimble and flora light
L = 2 nimble, cottage cheese, ham and pickle, 1 roll and ham.
S = funsize bag of choc buttons, licked bowl after making DH a b'day cake Polished of DS's roll and cheese he wouldn't eat after I had made it 1 choc cookie.

Just got back from a meal out for DH's b'day.

starter - fist sized portion of crab risotto
main - grilled cod on a potato thing with lentils and chorizo sauce.
dessert - black coffee.

I was designated driver so had sparkling water all night and I resisted the bread roll. So all in all a good night but not so good day

discoverlife · 19/02/2008 23:13

Give your daughter a hug from me katy.

katylessbumpy · 20/02/2008 08:12

discoverlife you just made me cry x

dd is a little better today.we all got some sleep so i feel a bit more human today.

i'm off to fat club after school.wish me luck

I've lost a pound, so quite pleased considering

I need to lose 2 pound next week to hit my one stone target... come on

fedda · 20/02/2008 09:27

Congratulations, MrsFish!

Today BAD START! I had a friend over earlier (she's gone to take her kids out to the park. My DS1 is still asleep as he was getting out of bed in the night several times) and we had coffee with 2 sugars each and some fuge sweets. We were giggling a lot, I know I'm not going to giggle later.

Jahan · 20/02/2008 11:06

good going, MrsFish. does that mean you have lost 12lbs so far?

I've lost 2! so, 10lbs so far.

Do people mind posting what they have lost so far? I'm just being nosey!

Glad to hear dd better, Katy.

fedda · 20/02/2008 11:10

Hi, Jahan, I've been sooooo good in the past and I've lost almost 5 kg, sorry not sure what's in pounds but I'm being not so good at all and getting slowly back into my old habbits, so I've gained almost 2 kg. Still, I'm liter then I was but if I don't stop (oh, I don't want to write what will happen).

MrsFish · 20/02/2008 11:39

Jahan - yes it does

LoveMyGirls · 20/02/2008 13:31

Can I have a moan on here please. I'm really missing DS2, I didn't expect to feel like this. When he was in school and your usual tired, stressed out, whinny brat, I was glad to get rid of him for a week, now I HE I miss him.
I've given DH the cold shoulder all day and just snarled at DS1. I some times HATE being a carer. I can't do my own thing without major preparations beforehand, I can't just pop to my daughters for a whinge and a cuppa. I HATE being broke all the time and to know that it will NEVER change, except for getting worse.
Arrrggghhh, there are days when its just not worth getting out of bed, Oh for a duvet day. But I cant. Wail!

katylessbumpy · 20/02/2008 18:18

moan away discoverlife .lifes tough for you but think how much you'll appreciate seeing ds2 when he comes back all refreshed and pleased to see his mum.you're doing a great job xxx

Off out for another meal tonight... its gonna be an uphill struggle this week, I have had a bad day eating choc and biscuits, just couldn't help myself

fedda · 20/02/2008 19:49

Join the club, MrsFish. I started a day with 2 sugared coffee and 3 tofee sweets. i had 4 fish fingers, some pieces of cheese and tea with 1 sugar later, for lunch I ended up munching on my home made pizza made frim scratch and only admired by DS1, not DS2 so i can say it was DS2 fault with home made veg soup, tea with 1 sugar and nuts (not in my tea ; for dinner i had more soup and 3 sasages with mush pots and lentils. i forgot I also had 2 sugared coffee again with little cheese and I'm most probably going to have more coffee, pos with nuts at around 10 (my time when all normal people are in bed .

pollywobbledoodle · 20/02/2008 20:18

well done losers!

well AF is here (or i'm dancing round the cotton wool pole as friend of dh delightfully puts it ) for the first time since early jan and i have been weeing and pooing for england (sorry if TMI!)can actually get in next size down jeans this eve!

fedda instead of being so tough with yourself why don't you just say you will have 2/3 sweets a day when you fancy them...

discoverlife, you have my sympathy on the carer front....i'm on the other end of that kind of relationship and it does dampen any spontaneity for either of you....

today
brekkie....muesli
lunch......curried carrot and potato soup, two slices bread, miserable cow(lidl's version)cheese triange, apple, satsuma
eve........quiche,baked pot, veg, mini magnum

katylessbumpy · 20/02/2008 20:27

i didn't lose this week so am i a winner?

polly please can i have whatever it is that is making you wee and poo so much.today i have had 2 cups of coffee and 2 1/2 litres of water and have only had 2 wees!

HELP!!

enjoy your meal mrsfish
