well done fedda]smile] positive thinking.hopefuly the scales will show a loss for you this week and that will be the boost you need

OP posts:
fedda · 17/02/2008 21:52

my scales have a mind of their own, Katy. I go on them, see the figure, go off, then on and the figure is different, it can happenseveral times and the difference can be up to 800 g! So, I just stay positive no matter what. It's their loss. Oh, I want it to be my loss!

katylessbumpy · 17/02/2008 21:56

can you weigh yourself at boots or invest in some digital ones?i know weight is just a number but to see that number get smaller is ssssoooooooooo good

OP posts:
fedda · 17/02/2008 22:00

my scales are digital, katy and in boots i have to be dressed and in boots.

katylessbumpy · 17/02/2008 22:08

just a suggetion fedda.at least if you weighed yourself at boots you would get an accurate + or - each week

OP posts:
pollywobbledoodle · 17/02/2008 22:17

ok, a group excercise....(might even burn a few cals) all focus on the screen and imagine katylet wide awake, then slowly in your minds let her drop off to sleep, a deep peaceful sleep where her teeth do not trouble her.......

katylessbumpy · 17/02/2008 22:21

polly what a lovely idea.altogether now zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hi am back.
I was on a HE thread, and got blasted for telling the HE bashers to bog off. My own fault the OP wanted differeing views. The problem is that there are so many people out there who see Home Educators as abnormal if not doing something illegal, that occasionally it would be nice to have a thread on there that doesn't have the HE bashers jumping on the bandwagon.
Plus lack of sleep makes me less than diplomatic. Ive not had much more than 6 hours a night for so long it makes me feel on par with you young mothers. I am hoping a week without DS2 will help.

fedda · 17/02/2008 23:05

Would I get paid for the entertainment if I weigh myself in boots?

discoverlife · 18/02/2008 00:35

Fedda, is your floor wonky? Mine is and I have to have my Scales 'just so' or they weigh out by sometimes 3LB. Saying that if i just move them to a flat solid floor they would probably work fine.

discoverlife · 18/02/2008 00:37

Entertainment of you weighing yourself in JUST boots? Hmmmm! Will you be nork swinging as well?
It depends on the blokes doesn't it. They tend to like anything under 60 naked.

katylessbumpy · 18/02/2008 08:13

no sleep here again.dd screamed quite alot in the night so we are off to the doctors soon.

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 18/02/2008 08:19

Katy - stock up on ashtons and medised while you are out, ashtons is herbal and the best for teething pain, medised is for when times are really tough.

Stick with the bedtime routine, once in bed dd must not come back downstairs. Just be firm and she will soon learn.

I'm with you on the tired front today, dd2 kept me awake from 3am to 5am and i was up at 6.15am to get ready to open at 7.15am - early night i think later!

katylessbumpy · 18/02/2008 08:40

i think her water infection is back hence the screaming.it btook her over half an hour to stop crying even while i was cuddling her and she was shaking all night.she has a temperature this morning so i'm just trying to get through to the doctors.

sorry you didnt get much sleep either.it must be something in the water

fedda · 18/02/2008 10:04

Poor Katy and poor your DD!
I came to conclusion that I'll be unlikely paid for the intertainment and my floor isn't perfect but my scales are at the same level and each time i go on them they give me different reading (not always though0 and they are digital, mind you, the difference is around 800 g so it's probably nothing in pounds. Anyway, I need to get rid of 3,5 kg at least.

Jahan · 18/02/2008 10:14

Poor Katy and poor dd indeed! I feel for you. Hope she gets better soon!

I've had an active weekend (gym, long walks) but food wise, it was baaaad.
dh b ought croissants, pain au chocolat, white crusty rolls and creamy pastries yesterday!
He's mad! He went to tesco's at 10am yesterday to pick up some breakfast things and came back with all that. You can tell he went shopping hungry .
I'm going to freeze whats left today.

I've been for a long walk this morning and am going to be v. good today.
Oh, and I've booked for my hair transformation on Sat. I'm getting it cut and coloured, Can't wait. (that was my 7lb treat

katylessbumpy · 18/02/2008 11:44

i was right.dd has another water infection so she is being referred to the hospital for tests

fedda maybe they would give you bonus points on your boots card

jahan what colour are you going?what's your hair like at the moment? nosey aren't i?

Hi peeps,
Very good day yesterday, Mum says she can see a vast improvement in DS2 already and he's only been Home Educated since Christmas. She says he seems to be more grown up and calmer also definatly much happier. We had a natter and came to the conclusion that Martyn had been hiding behind his childishness, being the fool, to gain attention from his school mates etc. And now he doesn't need to do it anymore.

I am also going to try a high protien diet, or at least the Red part of the slimming world diet and see if that makes any difference to my energy levels.

Poor DD Katy that is so unusual in a LO. I hope they find an easy cure for it.

katylessbumpy · 18/02/2008 11:58

discoverlife that is great news about your ds,you must be feeling really proud of him(and you)

i've never tried a high protein diet, you''l have to let us know how you get on.

dd is on antibiotics for the infection and then a lower dose until her appointment.the doctor also gave her some cream for thrush.she said the infection could have caused it.i am so glad i went with my instints last night and didn't start cc.i would have felt so guilty

anyway foodwise i have had a cereal bar for breakfast (a chocolate special k one) full of sugar but i need the energy.dh has just gone to subway to get me a turkey breast salad on italian bread mmmmmmm.
dinner will be something easy as dh is working and i'm on my bod

Jahan · 18/02/2008 13:15

Ah, poor little katy's dd.
Discoverlife - That is brilliant. Its amazing that the change is so quick. Well done for making the right decision for him and well done for being so good at it!

Katy - I have not cut my hair in over a year! (since I got pregnant). Its nearly down to my waist and is brown/black with greys on the sides (its in great condition, though! no split ends or dryness)
I am going to go a shade lighter all over, keep some length but don't mind about 8" off and basically, I'm going to tell the hairdresser that I want a change and to surprise me!

dewmeadow · 18/02/2008 14:00

CAn I join you? YOu seem to be a general weight loss thread rather than specific diet. After 3 babies in 4 years, I need to lose 3 stone - 2.5 to go!! Trying to count points at home and fit in exercise , which I need to lose weight. Finding it hard after 3rd baby - v slow to come off. Im also v tired a lot or get a bit overwhelmed and want/need/desire chocolate!!

katylessbumpy · 18/02/2008 14:28

of course you can join us dewmeadow.feel free to have a moan and rant whenever you like we are all in the same boat.

jahan i want photos when you have it done.i bet it's going to look amazing!
