Hello all, I'm still here

I had a cheeky look on the scales this morning and I have lost the one pound I put on last week, so if I am extra good I may lose one more this week

Katy - I love that motto, I LOVE XXX but I want to lose weight more, I am going to start saying that to myself

Jahan - It's hard work isn't it, I luckily manage to get some time to myself, I just tell dh he has to look after them and I take myself out once in a while

Last night I was waiting for my friend to arrive to go on the Cross Trainer but by 8pm she still wasn't here and I was falling asleep, so I dragged myself to it and told dh to send her in when she got here. I then got a text saying she couldn't make it because her dd was ill, luckily I went on it before I got the text or else I would have talked myself out of it. I ended up doing half an hour - 2 miles and burned up 320 cals result!! It has spurred me on again

Hello me23

fedda · 08/02/2008 10:17

Congratulations, Mrs Fish! I'm cooking soup for my lunch and I didn't go to the coffee shop! i had prunes for breakast. So far sooooo good. Well, the day has only started.

fedda · 08/02/2008 10:33

I borrowed a book about soups and slimming and it says that chanky soups are more satistying so it's better not to use the blender as chnky vegies keep hunger away for longer. Also spices (in moderation) are very helpful fpr slimming. So, who is going to join me? I'm going to use my soup for my night time snack attack.

LoveMyGirls · 08/02/2008 12:29

I had a shortbread biscuit (but there was a spread of muffins, iced buns and birthday cake!) so lots of tempation!! Damn it!

Will make sure i'm extra good the rest of the day!

fedda · 08/02/2008 12:32

So, you just had a biscuit. You should be very proud of yourself, girl. i just had my soup with some oat buiscuits. I have some more soup for later hunger strike.

MrsFish · 08/02/2008 12:34

I've just had soup too, oh and an ickle fairy cake... well I had to make sure they were edible as I have just made them for ds

fedda · 08/02/2008 13:20

i do the same and that's why i haven't made mine for ages. Poor DS, i owed him some. i must do them soon.
i'm going to have my tea with blackcurrant jam. Cheers!

LoveMyGirls · 08/02/2008 13:34

Just had lunch - 2 ryvita with extra light philli and tomato plus a low fat yogurt and a cuppa hot choc (only 40 cals per cup and 1 sweetner) its my choc fix!

katylessbumpy · 08/02/2008 13:54

tonight i have promised kids i will take them to pizza express as an extra special treat as they have been really good all week with daddy away. but what can i eat there???! really dont want to spoil my hard work and have pizza but resent paying for salad when i can have that for practically free at home....hmmmmm gonna have to investigate my options. bloody starving now, forgot to have lunch so may have to reheat some nopoint soup in a mo.
went to lasenza today and spent a ruddy fortune on slightly raunchy undies as a treat to self and dh when he gets home on monday. its been well over 10 yrs since i even bought matching undies let alone lace, boning and [whispers] stockings! omg just hope dh doesnt phsl!

OP posts:
currantbunmum · 08/02/2008 16:16

bel I usually have just a margarita, as its under 400 cals. (the P.E. one I get from waitrose is anyway!) and then have a capp. after as my treat. Our DD's love going there for the bambinocino's, they think they are very grown up!

katylessbumpy · 08/02/2008 16:26

i've just added a new picture of dd to my profile.she looks so cute lol

OP posts:
belcantavinissima · 08/02/2008 16:51

oh bless her thats relly cute!
i found it yes, most of what i love is loads of points! typical, and am flipping starving!

Jahan · 08/02/2008 17:17

Isn't it a lovely day today? It is here. Like its spring.
We've spent the afternoon at a city farm. The boys lived it.

MrsFish - well done on the weight loss!
Fedda - I've heard that about soup too. I think the same applies to fruit too i.e. its more satisfying/slimming if you eat it rather than juice it.
Belcant - good luck with being good in pizza express!

Well done to all of you managing to exercise!

Food diary;
muesli with yoghurt, coffee
covent garden soup, 3 crackers with cheese
dh is getting a take away for dinner. He's got burger cravings. Apparently my cooking has been too healthy all week . I've asked for chicken (which is grilled) and will go very easy on the chips.

fedda · 08/02/2008 18:01

Pizza express, if it's not too late, has salads and you can ask for a dressing on a side so you decide how much dressing to have.

belcantavinissima · 08/02/2008 18:50

just back from pizza express. the kids were impeccably behaved and i had a diet coke and a gardiniera (which was 13 points but went without lunch today so dont feel too guilty and am still within points for the day
