Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.

It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

Weigh day tomorrow.

@Sodullincomparison yes my first proper meal since last Wednesday. I was so full!

I'm not doing so well, a weekend followed by a birthday meal on Monday has thrown my fasting for 16 hours off track. I'm also finding it hard to get an early dinner atm as finishing work late and need to walk dogs before it gets dark.
Still not eating until midday ish but think my portion sizes are creeping up. Not hopeful for Mondays weigh in.
I need to strengthen my willpower and resolve and not slink away from this thread, otherwise in 6 months time when you all have your bikini bodies and I still look like a beached whale i'll be kicking myself i didnt have the determination to see it through 🤣

Jenasaurus · 20/10/2022 02:14

11 stone 4 today - 6 pounds lost after COVID!

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 20/10/2022 03:55

@Jenasaurus Every cloud! Hope that you are feeling better now.

@HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks i had fish and chips last night as well. My concession to healthiness was having a kids’ portion ( the adult one is absolutely massive, like I’m not sure anyone would be able to eat it all) and I put some peas in the microwave.

Off on holiday today. Got to try not to go crazy. We’re going to a resort ( not AI so easier not to scoff everything in sight) and the dc are doing a diving course so hopefully I’ll get time to get a decent swim or gym session in every day.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 20/10/2022 13:17

@illiterato enjoy your holiday. I hope that you all have a lovely time.

@illiterato Have a fab holiday!

Sodullincomparison · 20/10/2022 18:51

@illiterato have a fabulous holiday and enjoy swimming. The sunshine always makes it easier.

four pounds down from the juice fast after a day off it. I’ll take that as it wasn’t so hard during a busy day.

Going to try to carry on having one meal a day for the next week and no snacks.

I had a strawberry quality street today! The last chocolate in the tub in the kitchen at work. What a waste of a chocolate.

AnnieHoooo · 20/10/2022 21:13

It's all gone to pot this week. Holidays, visitors... I'm keeping away from crappy cakes and sweet stuff though and alcohol....

Stravaig · 21/10/2022 09:29

Well done everyone for not being entirely disrupted by holidays or visitors - and for wresting impressive weight losses from the monsters of illness and dentistry!

I am really struggling with energy for basic life tasks now I'm no longer faking it with sugar and caffeine. Down to a single strip of dark chcolate first thing, and no coffee at all - it's taken 3 weeks to get here. On the plus side, what energy I do have is an honest indicator of how recovery is going. Also no gnawing hunger cravings at all, so I guess I've transitioned smoothly into fat burning.

PeloFondo · 21/10/2022 12:53

Still annoyingly bouncing around 17 stone, my scales do not want to drop into the 16s! I started at 18st 5 though so slowly getting there

This weekend I'm cycling a min of 50 miles on a spin bike, would like to do 100 so that might help a bit

Stravaig · 21/10/2022 14:06

@PeloFondo I'm always impatient for the next number down too! I love hearing about your exercise, btw - I can't at the moment, so I enjoy the vicarious hit :)

PeloFondo · 21/10/2022 14:15

I get that! I couldn't do it for years due to an exercise allergy (hives) but I bought a peloton in March and adore it

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 21/10/2022 14:34

@PeloFondo I was just wondering how long it takes to do 50 miles on a spin bike?

OP posts:
PeloFondo · 21/10/2022 14:41

Well I'm going to be going slower than usual to pace myself
Usually I do 20 miles in 90 mins so TBH I'm not too sure but I've allowed 3hrs a day and if I can get 100 miles I'll be chuffed

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 21/10/2022 17:44

@PeloFondo bloody hell woman! I'm impressed.

OP posts:
Sodullincomparison · 21/10/2022 18:34

Wow! That is some serious cycling and I was happy with our three mile stroll!

why oh why is the drop down to the next number always the hardest?

do you enjoy the peloton?

I just went out to Wagamama for dinner and had some diet coke as a boost. It was so good! Been tough this week without caffeine.

here comes the weekend and this is the bit I find hardest!

PeloFondo · 21/10/2022 20:52

I love it. Well I don't always love it when my lungs are burning and I'm cursing the instructor Grin but it's easy to keep up with and I use it most days

Stravaig · 22/10/2022 08:32

🥳 25% done!

(On the fence about this being a useful milestone, tbh. Is it 'Waahey, 25% done already' or 'Bloody hell, still three quarters of the way to go' 🤷‍♀️

illiterato · 22/10/2022 09:50

@Stravaig if it’s useful to you it’s useful. When I used to trail race I used to find “10% done” a real boost as I’d generally be feeling pretty good at that point - warmed up but not fatigued” and be thinking “ yeah I can do that another 9 times”. By 80% I’d often be cramping or vomiting or both and thinking “fuuuuuuuuccckk” but that’s not the point 🤣. I was having a mini celebration today as I noticed when I bend backwards I now only get one fold instead of two.

Runnerduck34 · 22/10/2022 10:29

Congratulations @stravaig!
@pelofondo I'm very impressed-
I've had a lazy lie in and long shower.
Exercise is something I need to ramp up but I find it boring and hard to fit in ( ok could have got up earlier today!)
I love long walks but they are time consuming.
I haven't been really strict this week but also haven't gone completely off the rails , just had a sneaky peak ahead of mondays weighing and I've lost 1kg this week, I was so happy as now 79kg and broken 80kg barrier. But just looked what 79kg is in real money and now throughly deflated !! To get back to my pre kids weight ( oldest is 23) I'd need to lose 3 stone- gulp, but I'd be happy losing 2.
@illiterato one fold not two is a great measure of success!
Good luck for the weekend everyone.

Stravaig · 22/10/2022 13:54

@illiterato Very true!
@Runnerduck34 I have a similar amount to lose, 21.5 kg, roughly 3 ⅓ stones. We can do it!

PeloFondo · 22/10/2022 16:51

I'm done for today, my legs won't move!

Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.
AnnieHoooo · 22/10/2022 17:37

Well done @Stravaig with the 25%!! And goodbye to the second back roll @illiterato !!

@PeloFondo you are making me want to get a Pelaton!

illiterato · 22/10/2022 20:31

@PeloFondo awesome- well done. If I cycled that much my fanny would be beyond repair. Even with a gel seat and padded pants 30km is my single ride limit!!
