Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.

It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

Weigh day tomorrow.

@Nerdycat do not run away 🤣

To be fair I need to lose weight to run anywhere 🤣

ToffeeNotCoffee · 15/10/2022 14:24

I lost 1 and three quarter pounds since I weighed myself last Saturday.

Good luck all everywhere.

Stravaig · 15/10/2022 14:40

Waves to @Nerdycat and sending healthy thoughts to @Jenasaurus and @DolphinsAreEvil and a cheer 🥳 to @ToffeeNotCoffee

Stravaig · 15/10/2022 14:44

Not sure how useful this is as a sample of food. My meals tend to be repetitive, and there's no one else here to complain about odd combinations or eating the same thing day after day! A definite advantage, in some ways.

Meal 1, omelette. Panful of cherry tomatoes and parsley, 2 eggs, basil, grated cheddar.

Meal 2, 'korma'. Sauce from a jar, their instructions say add diced chicken breasts and roasted sweet potatoes, serves 3. I leave out the sweet potato (gets manky by the 3rd or 4th day), halve the chicken, and add lots of vegetables which hold their texture well. This one was several each of leeks and large pointed red peppers, a bag of sugar snaps, handfuls of coriander leaf, serves 4.

Hello, I know this is a well established thread but is there room for one more? Currently sitting on the sofa breastfeeding my baby and have just mindlessly eaten almost an entire pack of bourbon biscuits (it's not a one off either 😳) have about a stone and a half to lose total but would love to get just the half off by Christmas! Preparing to take it slow because my three month old is up a lot at night and I tend to rely on sugar to get through the day - hence my username! 😅

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 15/10/2022 16:45

@ToffeeNotCoffee well done!

@Poweredbyteaandcake there is room for everyone here. Good luck you can do this.

@Stravaig that sounds good

ToffeeNotCoffee · 15/10/2022 17:04

Thanks @Stravaig and @HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks

Stravaig · 15/10/2022 17:53

Thanks @TabithaTittlemouse - so impressed you stuck with it whilst away 🥳

I like the sound of your fish pie @illiterato

Sodullincomparison · 15/10/2022 18:34

So whilst progress is slow this end being part of this group helps. I was tempted by a late night snack yesterday and stopped myself thinking weigh-in day is Monday!

thank you all!! 😀

Poweredbyteaandcake · 16/10/2022 09:56

Thanks @HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks . I have downloaded nutracheck and entered all my foods for today. Breastfeeding gives me a fairly generous calorie allowance so feeling positive!

Runnerduck34 · 16/10/2022 10:30

Thank you @stavaig
That's helpful. I do have others here, 4DC although one is away at uni and DH. DC are a combination of fussy eaters, vegetarian and vegan( who don't.lime veg!) Meal planning and shopping is a nightmare already let alone trying to do something different for me too, thus trying to keep things very simple

Stravaig · 16/10/2022 13:34

Just been amusing myself adding some more mini milestones. May have overdone it, there's a few that are barely a stick of butter apart!

illiterato · 16/10/2022 18:12

I've been to the place where healthy eating aspirations go to die - the all day kids' rugby festival- fml. I'm happy my kids like sport. I just wish the festivals weren't so damn long Grin and the chips at the burger van weren't so damn good. Fortunately for me, the queues for said burger van were also extremely long so I was forced into starvation. Now drinking Itsu ramen soup at home and glad I resisted. DD got lightly concussed so keeping an eye on her tonight. Think she's fine though.

Hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow although am slightly, ahem, bunged up, so may not be as good as I hoped. Suspect it's the unfortunate effect of massively cutting down alcohol and caffeine simultaneously.

Sodullincomparison · 16/10/2022 19:45

Tomorrow morning might not be impressive although we went for a walk in Snowdonia today so definitely making more effort to get us all moving.

This weekend went far too fast!

have ordered a three day juicing diet which will arrive tomorrow. Lost six pounds with it a few months ago but mostly because I only had water as some of the juice just tasted of pond!

TabithaTittlemouse · 16/10/2022 21:23

@Sodullincomparison what juice diet do you do?
I want to do the sirt food diet.

Today was going well until Dh made a massive macaroni cheese with garlic bread.

Sodullincomparison · 16/10/2022 21:47

@TabithaTittlemouse I’ve done a few and always through Groupon as they are really pricey. I wouldn’t want to recommend or discredit any as pond juice publicly 😂😂

The sirt diet looks very precise- how often do you see Red Endive? Please let us know how it goes.

HoarderOfNotebooks · 16/10/2022 23:37

Hi, can I join in too? I'm so sick of saying I'm on a diet then giving up and being half a stone heavier. I'm now 4 stone over where I want to be and could really do with talking to others who understand the choccy crave/ binge guilt cycle! (I'm assuming!)

RedAutumn · 17/10/2022 07:07

I've just checked the scales and I've lost 1kg in my first week. I feel quite happy about that. Just got to keep going now.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 17/10/2022 10:22

4.5lbs down for me this week.

OP posts:
PeloFondo · 17/10/2022 10:27

Technically 1.5lbs down but my app says I'm losing 0.5lbs a week
I'm bouncing around the same weight back and forth so need to crack on this week and watch my fasting hours/diet more closely

AnnieHoooo · 17/10/2022 10:43

Lost 1 pound - second half of week went downhill after Tesco delivery.

Start: 15st 11lbs
Current: 15st 8lbs

What went well this week - meal planning

What would make it better - replace wine & TV in the evening with watering plants, painting, organising, walking dog , swimming, going for a drive..

Runnerduck34 · 17/10/2022 10:47

I am 1.5 kg down since last week but havent lost anything further since my Thursday sneaky peek weigh in.
I didnt really have good weekend diet wise , meal out on Saturday and did a roast yesterday and then two of our teenagers decided they were going out at the last minute so ended up with too much food so my intention of a small portion went out the window!!
So not entirely surprised, to cap it all its my mums birthday today and shes visiting so birthday cake and meal are looming.......
Congratulations to everyone who is doing well, I am going to be properly on it again from tomorrow and will do the best I can today

eleanorwish · 17/10/2022 10:57

I managed to lose 1lb in the last week, so total weight loss is 1.5lbs.
I did well with my calorie intake during the week, but slackened off a bit too much over the weekend.
I seem to have put 1.5lbs on in 24 hours. I know that's not going to be fat, but it's still annoying and a little bit disheartening.
I'm not giving up though, even if the weight loss is painfully slow!
