Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.

It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

I started the week really well but have had a shocker today - far too much bread and too many crisps (and very little veg). Feeling really annoyed with myself now, but I’ll be back on track tomorrow.

I’ve been inspired by some of the dishes people have described on here, so I’m going to have a nice healthy breakfast tomorrow to start the day off properly!

Food today much the same: two sugared black coffees (was supposed to be one), black bean salsa with boiled egg, sweet flatbread, & for dinner, red pepper, broccoli, beef, coriander sauted with ginger/garlic/tamari/sesame oil.

Today's excitement is possibly TMI, but after two months without a period I thought maybe I'd crossed into official menopause. Apparently not, and seem to be catching up with a truly dramatic blood flow, and even a wee bit of dizziness. Ach well.

@Jenasaurus I'm a veggie lover, your lunch sounds gorgeous!

I felt really lazy today but did 6 miles with the dogs.

Food today was berries and yoghurt for breakfast. Nothing for lunch. A weird pastry thing with spinach and ricotta for dinner, almonds and of course chocolate cake as snacks 😬

I need to work on my sleep pattern because I’m usually good. In bed by ten and up before 7 (5 on work days) but being off I’m not in bed until gone midnight and sleeping until 9:30.

Today’s menu has consisted of a piece of carrot cake from the café at work, and a family size bag of Twiglets for dinner. I’m probably within my calorie limit but I’m not sure it’s a nutritionally recommended daily intake.

If you're not going to eat much you may as well enjoy what you eat!🤣

Today I haven't exercised as much as I'd like, hard to fit in with work.and kids activities etc but did do a longish dog walk.
Food- I need to get my act together, I start off well but then it goes off track in evening. No breakfast other than 2 cups of tea, beans on toast for lunch then had chilli for dinner but then DH did an apple crumble which i had a small portion of and then I had a small glass of full fat coke.
Just been looking at photos and I'm horrified at how enormous ( and old!) i look in recent our holiday ones, I've had a tough few years and I think it shows, also going through menopause which doesn't help. I'm about 3 stone overweight but I need a face lift too! I always think Iook OK but photos tell another story.
Hope I can have the will power to make some positive changes.

I'm single and found TikTok helped me not feel so alone during lockdown, I love all the dance trends but due to my weight not posted many, that one I did on purpose, knowing I would have no going back having recently been diagnosed with diabetes and realizing I may not live to see my grandchildren, I love doing the little TikTok's now even though it may embarrass my grown up DC :)

Well done all! This thread is so good to see how everyone is approaching this challenge in different ways and what works for different people.

it seems that having it as a focus is key.

I didn’t change our family meal plan but I have written down everything I’ve eaten and not absorbed our DD’s leftover treats and snacks.

No shift on the scale yet so a bit more focus needed perhaps!

Good morning all

I had a reasonable day yesterday. Kept to my calorie limit, or just under so I had some calories, 'up my sleeve' so to speak for a meal out tonight. Had a couple of short walks as well.

Today:

Breakfast - 150g smoked salmon dressed with lemon juice and freshly ground black pepper. 1 slice wholegrain toast, light cream cheese, st dalfour marmalade. Tea.

Lunch - Home made lamb and vegetable soup.

Dinner - (Here's the hard part) Meal out with friends. I've previewed the menu and I'll order garlic mushrooms on toast but not eat the toast. Main course: sizzling gammon steak with salad and coleslaw and bbq sauce. Dessert, well, the best of the worst calories wise looks like fruit crumble. I'll just eat the fruit....yeah right.

I'm weighing myself tomorrow ! It's Saturday and I weigh myself on Saturdays.

Hi all. I've had an up and down week food wise but have managed to reign in my impluse buying of chocolate/sweet things during the day which is a massive part of my problem. Hoping to build on this. I'm away this weekend with friends which is great but know it'll be boozy and fattening food everywhere. Going to be tough x

Well I’ve lost 1lb. Which I’m good with, it’s probably just water as only been a couple of days, but I’ve not put weight on for first time in ages! Shopping today, so sat here trying to meal plan.

Went rogue last night, daughter ordered a Mac Donald’s, had some chicken nuggets and sweet curry sauce which don’t think was so bad as had been good all day. Rewarded myself with a Feast ice lolly for being so good 🤦🏻‍♀️And therein lies my biggest problem I think, if I have something that I feel is breaking my diet, I feel I have failed and just carry on eating.

That doesn't sound too bad @DolphinsAreEvil. I feel the same, i balls up with eating one thing then just go freestyle and then think fuck it. But I'm trying to stop that. So what if I eat something wrong, draw a line under it and get back to being good. It's hard though isn't it.

This is my problem too , eat something I shouldn't and then tell myself " well I've blown it now so I'll eat the other 2 Feast's in the pack "

The 'i have blown it now anyway' thinking is so tempting but really needs to be conquered, I think, not sure how.
Well done on weight loss, Pauline FowlersCardigan. I am supposed to be weighing every day to get average weekly weight but I keep forgetting,
Had a bad day yesterday, nothing to take to work for lunch and ended up buying crap in the shop. WFH today and WILL go for a run at lunchtime.
