It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

Late start for us today and not a great day yesterday!
I walked just under six miles with the dogs but ate and drank badly.
I had muesli with semi skinned milk for breakfast, veggie carbonara for dinner, 3 glasses of red wine and about eleven hundred cups of tea!

Must try harder today!

I've decided to calorie count as it seems the easiest way for me. Yesterday I stuck to 1600 cals and wasn't hungry at all so I'll do that again. Meals for today are 1 slice of fruit toast and yogurt with fruit. Lunch is veggie soup, bread and salad. Dinner is veggie sausages and mash. Lots of fruit for snacks and a packet of crisps.

This is more or less what I've decided to do. Calorie count but in terms of meals - not aiming at a daily limit but meal by meal.

Including fruit and vegetables to stay healthy and as snacks.

I think the biggest thing for me (and a few others is pigging out if something is in the fridge/cupboard) so self restraint comes into it.

Hello all

Well yesterday, using my nutra check App I had 1231 calories, so slightly over but under 100g carbs so I am happy with that and I know its a weekly weigh in but I couldnt resist popping on and have gone down a pound ( probably water but needed motivation)

My heart rate is 107 today when I woke, so for a resting heart rate thats pretty bad going and my prurigo kept me awake all night which could be related but I am keeping on going with this health malarky.

I have reduced from a size 22 (July) to a size 14/16 so treating myself to some new clothes as I have 2 parties this month, my DS engagement party and my nephews engagement party. So many people getting married, my other son got married in July and his best friend 2 weeks later, then another of his friends invited me to his wedding in South Africa next year, an expensive time but plenty of reason to keep on track and wear nice clothes :)

Hi, can i please join too? I’m 45, 5ft 2, and this morning I was 13st 2lbs. I’ve been losing and gaining the same 6lbs the entire year and I’m so fed up with myself!! Until 5yrs ago I was just over 8st and really fit. But I eat my feelings. Alllll of them. Happy, sad, inbetween, all get rewarded with chocolate or takeaway or wine!!
I’ve been reading the diet threads on here all year, but this one made me want to jump in and just finally do it! If I can lost a stone by Christmas I’ll be so happy, then I want to get to 10st. Which although is ‘overweight’ for me, actually feels really good. Im counting on nutracheck from today and have decided to even count if I have a blip, as I usually just write it all off and think fuck it!!

Today’s food has been much better.
Grapes and almonds as a lunch/snack.
veggie sausages and champ for dinner.

Only 5 cups of tea which is good for me 😂I’ve been having rose green tea instead.
According to nutra check I’ve had 818 calories so should probably have something else.

I've had a manic day and I've been chasing my tail all day.

My young adult daughter is in floods of tears with boyfriend trouble so I'm just about to drive over to try and sort her out.

On the plus side, I've only

had time to eat a slice of toast so far today. Every cloud!

When I get back home I will be having a tuna salad and then bed.

So just saw a study outlining that late breakfast and early dinner combined with daily hiit can shift twice as much weight

I have just been to my local corner shop as we have run out of milk. The lady that works there is very friendly, the sort of shop that stays open on Christmas Day and knows all the neighbours. Anyway I dont know whether to be offended or feel complimented by her comment. I bought a packet of magic stars and she said "oh fancy something sweet?" I said "no they are for my daughter" to which she nodded her head and said "Diabetes!" I said "well yes but how do you know", and she gestured to me with her arms open wide and said "I used to be massive and lost weight when I had diabetes too"....she was implying I had lost weight but also that she thought I was massive previously if her open arms stretched outwards meant how big I was before! I dont think she meant anything except to share experiences, she then lent over towards me as I handed over payment and said "And you will lose more, trust me, much more"
Oh well, now I feel like eating the magic stars in defiance!

An odd day today. Full of cold so missed my exercise class this morning and expected to eat loads but instead have mainly survived on tea & lemsip! I had an apple, some grapes, a couple of ryvita, some carrots & pepper and then had a couple of spoonfuls of mash when the DC had their tea but that was about it. I'm about to go on the cross trainer for 30 mins but won't be going very quickly!

I don’t know how to make a spreadsheet 🤣.

I know how it could look though, it could have name, start weight, end target weight, 3 month target weight, then weekly weigh-ins, then amount lost etc. And you’d be able to sort it eg by starting weight or total weight lost to compare your progression with someone else. This could be an October to December one, then you could start again with January to March and some people would leave as they’d lost what they wanted to, others (like me) would carry on because I need to lose more than three months worth, and others would join, so every three months you’d have a new spreadsheet. And it could just be a rolling thing. You could still have threads about it but your numbers would be there to look at.
