Ime that's what food deprivation can do to you

MrsBigD · 04/01/2005 15:24

monkey girl - the only way I can become MrsLittleD is if DH finally pulls finger and starts dieting and exercising as well but I'm definitely aiming on becoming a size 12 ...

woodpops · 04/01/2005 15:29

MG, yep new year was absolutly fab even if M&S were a major let down on the dress front. I am now determined to keep all the weight off and possibly even loose a little more. I've just been out on my lunch and brought the Davina power of 3 DVD LOL. I always used to say I'd never be sucked into the marketing of these celeb fitness DVD's now look at me!!!!

monkeygirl · 04/01/2005 15:40

Oh I'd love to try one of those videos cos I can't afford the gym atm (well the creche fees on top of gym cost) but I would be terrified that my neighbour's ceiling below us would cave in under the strain of me jumping around!!

woodpops · 04/01/2005 15:51

I'll let you know how I get on

MrsBigD · 04/01/2005 18:07

monkeygirl... I just had a look at my new Total Fitness in 12 mins a day and it sould be safe for your neighbours ceiling, well at least in the early stages . It's a very simple and basic workout but I think if one sticks to it it can be beneficial, even if it's just getting the old joints clicking

monkeygirl · 04/01/2005 22:27

MrsBigD - there's a lot of excess weight here that would be bouncing those lights! But would be interested to know who does the Total Fitness video and how you have been/are getting on with it - feel the difference yet? How long have you been doing it?

MrsBigD · 04/01/2005 23:29

MG - only just got it so can't judge yet, but in chart 1 there's only 1 exercise that's 'running on the spot' so not too much bouncing at all

PuffTheMagicDragon · 05/01/2005 00:40

Put on 4lbs over Xmas and New Year, but had a good time . Must be good now.

handlemecarefully · 05/01/2005 11:27

Awww Puff - you enjoyed it at the time though. I'm sure you will be able to resurrect that willpower from somewhere.....

MG - day three on the 12 minute workout and I think it could be absolutely ideal for you. Excess weight doesn't come into the equation at the start as the exercises are static except for the running on the spot, but for the first few levels it's more of a slow mo leg lifting thingy

Day 3 today and I actually started feeling my butt It's nice and gentle but you actually work every part of your body in the 12 mins

handlemecarefully · 06/01/2005 22:05

Essbee - don't leave us hanging. What's the damage?

Don't be. Don't look backwards, look forwards. Tomorrow is a new day - clean slate and all that!

MrsBigD · 06/01/2005 23:25

I'm weighing myself again on Saturday... as I've only been a semi good girl (we still have mince pies floating around ) I dread the day!

Been quite good today though. Whenever I wanted something sweet I had a satsuma instead. It's a start...

MrsBig - sounds good - will be monitoring your progress definitely before I plunge in! Also like the sound of the yogalates (sp) type exercise cos I need some serious toning up. Still I have now lost the 7lbs I put on over Xmas - should that be or - both probably.

MrsBigD · 07/01/2005 11:07

definitely a as you've lost them so quickly
