What do you weigh and what dress size are you?

I know there’s lots of other factors but I’m
mainly asking because I’m trying to lose weight for my friends wedding and I’m just wondering what dress size I may be by then if I keep on track.
Also I’m just curious, it’s so interesting how everyone’s bodies can be so different!

I’ll go first! I’m 5ft 7 and I weigh 11.5stone I’m a size 14.
even at my thinnest (around 9.5-10st) I don’t seem to go lower than a size 12.

obviously size doesn’t actually matter, but I’m just interested!

I and 5ft 7, 10 Stone, size 10.

4 years ago I was nearly 14 stone, size 16/18. Lost through dieting and exercise plus lots of walking. Lost the weight within 18 months and it has stayed off. Have to work at it.

I find these threads amazing.

I'm 5'7.5 and if I say anywhere near 10 stone I'm a 12. I need to be 9 stone to be a 10. It's fascinating how we hold weight differently

right? so do I. I think I can fit into a 12 at 11 stone only because I am small busted.

TwinklingFairyLights · 25/05/2022 17:20

I'm 5 feet 6. 11 stone 5 and have massive boobs - 32 FF. they must weigh a good few pounds each. Extra weight is on my stomach. I seem to be struggling to lose the 12lbs I need to get down to 10 1/2 stone. Any tips welcome 😁. I do a fair bit of exercise but diet appears to be rubbish.

5'6 and 11st 3lbs when I weighed this morning. A comfortable size 12.
My lowest was 9st 4lb I was 8/10
My happy weight is about 10st 7lb and I'm a comfy able size 10 which I'm more than happy with.
Anything lower doesn't really suit my shape

I'm the same height and 10 1/2 stone is also my happy weight.

artisanbread · 25/05/2022 17:55

I'm 5'7, 8 stone 10. Size 8/10. Usually a 10. I have thin arms and legs but am straight up and down with no waist so I need a 10 to fit me around the middle.

DogsAndGin · 25/05/2022 17:57

5’7’’, 53kg (8 stone 3) and I’m a size 6-8

Lovinglife45 · 25/05/2022 18:56

pedropony you carry your weight well to be a size 16/18 at 19 stone.
My friend is at least an inch taller than you, 17 stone and size 18/20.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 25/05/2022 18:57

I'm 5ft 6 and weigh 8 st 5.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 25/05/2022 18:59

Sorry, meant to add a size 6-8.

Thiswayorthatway · 25/05/2022 19:02

5’ 7 and 9.5 stone, size 10

SnowWhitesSM · 25/05/2022 19:06

5ft 6, 11.11 (although yesterday I was 11.09) and a comfortable size 12 up to 12 st. Aiming to get down to 11 stone this summer as being 11 suits me best. I carry my weight on my thighs and bum, have flat stomach and no one believes me when I tell them my weight. Will be a large size 10 on the bottom and a proper 10 on top at that size.

Minoloso · 25/05/2022 19:13

5’7” 9 stone 5lb size 10 (8 in m&s)

user7637293 · 25/05/2022 19:18

5"6 9st10lb but want to get down to 9st5lb

Currently a size 10.

AdalineStephen · 25/05/2022 19:29

Haven't found anyone else like me so far!

5'6", 10.5 stone, size 8 in all "normal" high street shops (although I bought a cheap t-shirt from Boohoo recently, and it might as well have been age 8, not size 8!)

lop32 · 25/05/2022 19:34

5 foot 6 and just over 8 stone, although that's after losing a stone. Size varies from 8 to 12, depending on the store.

TibetanTerrah · 25/05/2022 19:38

5ft6 and 8st10 and it took me to drop to 9st to get to a 10, like you thought I'd never get below a 12.

Chazx · 26/05/2022 08:03

Slightly bigger at 5ft8 ish but I'm 10 st 5-7lbs and I'm a size 14 in Boden, next and Dorothy Perkins. I'm a large hip frame/broad back but I would not say I'm particularly flabby or chunky. I'm currently working towards getting back to 9 stone 7 which takes me to a size 12. I've always been jealous of smaller frame women as I feel quite unfeminine looking in terms of shape.

@Lovinglife45 I really do and I find it crazy. I’ve always had thick thighs and a big bum so I think my weight just keeps on going there. How insane that your friend is a few stone lighter than me but wears bigger sizes. So interesting how it all works isn’t it

Rosehugger · 26/05/2022 11:43

I find it fascinating that most women my height and dress size seem to be at least 1.5 stone lighter.

I hope this means I look slimmer than my actual weight!

Suzi888 · 26/05/2022 11:48

5ft 6
At 9.5 stone I was a size 8-10. But I was at the gym 5 days a week. Spinning classes, kick boxing and eating well.

Currently 11 stone (roughly I haven’t weighed) size 12. Fat butt and big boobs. 😪Crisps, bread and wine. With heels don’t actually look that bad. But my heart is feeling it.

Rosehugger · 26/05/2022 11:53

My measurements are 39" 32" 40". That makes me a (comfortable) size 14 in most shops. I'm 170cm/5'7" 34E/36DD bra

By most people on here I should be about 11.5 stone (which I would love to be). How am 13 stone? I must be a bit...solid 😂

To be fair, my legs are like a scrum half's.

moofolk · 26/05/2022 12:02

I'm 5'6 or 7 depending on how my posture is!

Currently just under 10st and I think a size 10 or 12

Was over 11st and a rock solid size 12 until very recently.

Minikievs · 26/05/2022 12:08

5ft 7 (and 3/4!!!)

I vary between 9st 7 and 9st 10

8 on top (non existent tits) and an 8/10 on bottom but more usually a 10

KangarooKenny · 26/05/2022 12:13

5’4’’ . around 13 stone. Size 14/16. Obese on BMI

Rosehugger · 26/05/2022 12:14

I'm overweight on BMI but healthy on height/waist measurement ratio.
