My story so far:
I started a thread “Lockdown stones to lose” in early June last year. I had nearly 3 stones to lose and was very determined. At times I did very well and at one point had lost over 1.5 stones.

Loads of people joined and then left and I think only four of us remained at the end. I kept plodding on. Just after Christmas I became ill for seven weeks (Covid related). I couldn’t do much or go out so my weight ballooned. I still kept plodding on. Then one of my dogs suffered an horrendous attack and whilst nursing her I just about lived on chocolate.

So here I am nearly 11 months later, most likely very nearly back to square one. I keep reminding myself that last time I said I would not give up no matter what! Will you join me tomorrow morning? I would love some company.

Hahaha... thanks all. Only got there because it is not so hard to lose 3lb in a month when you've got 4st+ to lose.... much harder when you've got less than 1st to lose.

The motivation and support on here helps too. Realising that it is a marathon not a sprint, that one slice of cake really doesn't matter, it can really help a mental slump... what matters is stopping at one.

@BeyondMyWits ⭐️ very well done you. I think you might be the only one who made their goal in June (apologies if I am wrong to anyone else who did do it). The fact that you have more to lose has nothing to do with it, you've done so, so well and big congratulations 👏

I did better yesterday I think. Dog walk in the morning and then I walked into town to get my hair cut (parking is impossible so decided to walk) and managed 22,700 steps. The food was good too although I had a massive bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes for supper and this has to be reduced to a small bowl.

... and 1st July now so the July challenge is underway. I really hope we all manage to meet our targets. I keep thinking to myself, "it's only one month and you'll be delighted so just do it". 😃

Happy 1st July everyone and happy target reaching this month.
