Looking for a weekly weigh-in buddy who is looking to lose 2-2.5 stone

Hi everyone. Finally faced the dreaded scales today and it has really shaken me. I am 11 stone and pre covid (and pre relationship breakdown) was 8.9 stone. I'm 5 ft 2 so the extra weight is really noticable and I feel so miserable and embarrassed I don't like leaving the house. I'm really struggling with motivation and think I need a buddy looking to lose a similar amount who will do a weekly weigh in with me and we can support each other to keep going. I'm aiming to do a slow weight loss of a pound a week in the hope this will be easier and I'll actually stick with it! Am going to do what has worked for me in the past: the 16:8, cutting out starchy carbs and limiting sugar to fruit and dark chocolate. Is there anyone out there who would like to be my weigh-in buddy?!

@Fashiontatts this weeks been so so busy and then I saw your post and panicked
I thought I’d missed deadlines, Wednesday appointments how was it Thursday already?! 😱😮 I’ve got too much to do before the end of this week 😱😱 hahahah
but it’s Wednesday and you’ve already lost 1.75lbs!!

you’ve done amazing! Well done
how are you feeling

Shedcity · 27/07/2022 09:35

Decided to weight myself, inspired by you @Fashiontatts!
i just hit 10 stone 7
so half a stone off my goal for the summer
starting to feel like it’s not possible as I run out of time, but will keep trying!

Fashiontatts · 27/07/2022 09:39

@Shedcity omg what an idiot... I woke up thinking it was Thursday... I've put my bin out for collection and everything! Didn't even notice no one else had haha.

Fashiontatts · 27/07/2022 09:41

@Shedcity half a stone is def doable 👏🏻💪🏻 you've done so well!

Shedcity · 27/07/2022 09:46

Hahahah I was wondering if you’d done anything else thursday-y this morning 😂

Fashiontatts · 27/07/2022 11:10

@Shedcity just putting the bin out! But I'm on mat leave so I don't have much of a routine at the minute, per se! However I did hand my car into the garage on Tuesday morning and just realised I never phoned about it or went back for it 🙃🙂 losing my marbles clearly!!

Well done @cardboardbox24 ! That's fantastic!

Shedcity · 28/07/2022 14:43

Wheeeeyyy well done @cardboardbox24 ! That’s amazing!!

cardboardbox24 · 28/07/2022 15:25

Thank you! Now that I've properly broken through the first half stone barrier I feel a lot better and even more determined! Have set myself a goal to lose the next half stone by mid-sept- I start a new job then and would love to begin with my work clothes fitting comfortably rather than having to squish myself into them.

That sounds really sensible, good timeframe for it and a good incentive!
Congrats on the new job...! You looking forward to it?

Shedcity · 28/07/2022 16:00

Amazing @cardboardbox24 I think that’s a huge milestone
I think sometimes just a pound or two and j know personally I’ll say to myself oh my weight fluctuates naturally or whatever, I’ve probably not even lost weight.
but half a stone you can’t deny that you are achieving! You should be really proud. That’s a great goal to have im sure you can do it! Well done!
