Looking for a weekly weigh-in buddy who is looking to lose 2-2.5 stone

Hi everyone. Finally faced the dreaded scales today and it has really shaken me. I am 11 stone and pre covid (and pre relationship breakdown) was 8.9 stone. I'm 5 ft 2 so the extra weight is really noticable and I feel so miserable and embarrassed I don't like leaving the house. I'm really struggling with motivation and think I need a buddy looking to lose a similar amount who will do a weekly weigh in with me and we can support each other to keep going. I'm aiming to do a slow weight loss of a pound a week in the hope this will be easier and I'll actually stick with it! Am going to do what has worked for me in the past: the 16:8, cutting out starchy carbs and limiting sugar to fruit and dark chocolate. Is there anyone out there who would like to be my weigh-in buddy?!

Can I join please? I'm 5ft 1" and am currently 11 stone 7. I've put on 2 stone over the past 2 years and desperately need to lose it. Because I'm so short it is really obvious weight gain and I'm also starting to feel quite unhealthy with it so I'm desperate to lose!

You're almost exactly the same as me, I'll join in! I'm 5 foot and 11 stone Blush It's been 7 years since I was my ideal weight (8st 10lbs) I look bloody awful and I've finally given up the delusion that I'm a size 12 and have gone to a 14. My belly is ginormous. Let's do it!!

Good luck everyone... I had a spectacular evening snack of the little ones Milkybar Easter egg and a packet of jam&cream biscuits with a cup of tea last night 🥴 so I'm absolutely anticipating a gain this week..!

If any one is doing calorie counting, there's a good Insta to look at HealthyLittleLifter. She shows what you could eat a day for 1500/1700/1900 calories - and most include a treat/drink! 🤣 and loads of swaps to lower your Cals x

I'd like to join if poss. 5 ft 1.5 and working my way down from 12st 8. I was bigger, but nature helped in the form of being ill. I am keen not to put it back on again. Looking to reach 10 stone, what I was before meeting stbxh, but currently have my sights on 12 st. I figure if I break down my targets it will feel more manageable.

Very happy with that (am ignoring it was pre and post period weigh ins 😄). Aiming for 11stone and then see how I feel.

Well done everyone! Not a good week for me as I put on nearly half a pound. I didn't have the kids on the weekend last week and it was so much easier to stick to eating healthily- I have learnt from this and I think will be super organised with preparing my food this week. But congrats to everyone who has lost weight!

@Fashiontatts yes and when I'm by myself I can prepare a salad and be happy with that- the kids understandably want loads of carbs and then I find it hard to resist....

I struggle with kids in the house too. At work I can take all my food and that’s it. But at home there’s bread/ biscuits/ crisps etc and it’s so much temptation.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the sheer amount of temptation in this house is unreal! I'm trying to bulk my meals out with veg/salad etc for less Cals so I can still have some chocolate/cake etc in the evening !

Ive had a week of 2 family celebrations and guests so lots of alcohol and treat / takeaway food in and around the house and have put on 2.5lbs! I’m hoping that some is extra water weight and will go again soon.

on the positive side I have started C25k so long as my knees keep going so I am hoping that will help me along the way too.

I have lost half a pound this week and am feeling a bit gutted as I did a pilates class, exercise class and a day of strenuous gardening over the last week so had hoped for a bit more! I could have definitely been better with reducing my carbs intake though so am going to focus on that this week. Hope everyone else has been progressing well?
