Bloody scales of doom Not
Had a scare today , had routine bloods done last week and results were all ok except for my Cholesterol. I was very surprised because l am on Statins precautionary because l am over 60 with a familial history of high cholesterol, l rarely eat meat or eggs, l don't drink or smoke , l don't eat many takeaways of fast food either , l never have McDonalds or KFC but l do have full fat milk and butter and cheese, so l don't know, have booked for 2 weeks repeat appt Hmm
Been busy here today so consequently good, Mum is riding on th ecrest of a wave atm after her utter delight at being the belle of the ball lol
Gen your food sounds delicious Smile

Gensola · 06/05/2022 08:21

mrs sorry to hear about the bloods, maybe it is stress? Hope they’ve come down again by next time.
I have a work event tonight - 3 course meal so will need to eat very sensibly today to try and balance it out, though usually I skip pudding at these things anyway.
DH has his test to see if the vasectomy reversal worked today, then he gets the results within 7-10 days. More waiting! We are allowed a guest at the event and I’m taking an old friend who is staying with us after, it will be nice to see her. Happy Friday all!

Not2bObvious · 06/05/2022 08:24

Could have been an rogue result maybe mrs? Was it very high? Mine was a bit high when I had blood tests in Jan but it was post Christmas and I reckon I'd been eating a bit too much rich food (the weight gain pointed to that for sure!)
Back down to last weeks lowest weight of 164.6, which is fine and absolutely what I deserve. My cals have been averaging at 1950 which is too high. Usual culprits back, weekend wine/crisps/chocolate. And of course last night me and him sank wine while chatting. But it was good for us, and I'm only a bit delicate today not a lot so it's a win! Won't drink tonight as doing kid taxi'ing. Did my hours walk before work and with a bit of pottered around at home I'm over 9,000 - perfect start to the day

Pinky promise

Not2bObvious · 06/05/2022 20:39

There's alway tomorrow to start again. Enjoy the dinner.
Home now after taxi'ing, on the tea, a bit over 11,000 and should be on target with 1700'ish cals. Proper exhausted, got a 20 min dumbbell workout done as well as a tonne of work.

The dinner was the most lovely massaman curry, I inhaled it

Gensola · 07/05/2022 07:56

work dinner was lush - trout pate on sourdough with salad, then lamb Wellington with fondant potato and baby veg. Didn’t have the pudding but did have a chocolate with my coffee. Had 3 glasses of wine. Not sure on cals 🙈
friend staying today and tonight so we are going to Blenheim palace for a wander and probably lunch in the cafe there.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/05/2022 09:18

Sounds lovely gen. I’m pootling and baking today. R&r break the binge ready for Monday

Not2bObvious · 07/05/2022 18:01

Ouf, busy day and over 15,000 steps for me. Having a takeaway for dinner, seems to be a Saturday thing these days! Have been saving myself for it and will enjoy guilt free😊

Hope you have great results re DH Gen & glad you enjoyed your do Smile
Not great weigh in & steps well done! Think my Cholesterol should be fine because they didn't really want me to take the statins but l insisted . l was concerned because my brother had a heart attack when he was 55 due to high Cholesterol narrowing his arteries . Also my good lipids were the same as my bad lipids so l wasn't having any protection or at least that is how l think they meant Grin so fingers crossed Smile
Well done on the steps Em Smile
Great fun doing the jet washing Life fab steps too well done ! Smile

Re your wrist, have you tried a wrist support for it , my Dd2 has the exact symptoms and finds it helps her a lot 💐

Not2bObvious · 09/05/2022 15:46

Pee'ing down with rain here & very windy. Thankfully I got my walk in first thing so missed it, between that a quick walk to the shops I'm at 12,000+. Weekend was better than last but still not good enough.

Hope everyone is ok Smile

Not2bObvious · 10/05/2022 13:22

Thanks mrs, unfortunately I'm a fast gainer & a very slow loser so it doesn't inspire confidence since I've still not shifted the diet break pounds. The focus for yesterday/today/tomorrow is to keep on track, Thursday will be more indulgent and Friday all bets are off😂 As long as my holiday clothes fit in 2 weeks it's not the end of the world if the scales doesn't show losses.
How are you finding keeping on track after the doctors visit? Are you keeping an odd check on the scales or clothes or how's it going, keeping busy is the ultimate diet aid although it can backfire if you get too hungry.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 10/05/2022 13:52

Thank you Not l am keeping an eye on the SOD think l have lost 3 lbs since last Weds but am trying not to be too obsessed with it Hmm
It sucks when you have to keep such a tight rein on your intake and output l completely get it Flowers

Not2bObvious · 10/05/2022 14:06

That's brilliant mrs, great work, keeping a check on it is sensible & I'm sure you'll find a way to do that without obsessing.
Yeah, I don't get away with much, but then I do push my luck a lot 😂
