Nearly at 17,000 steps, can't believe it. Out walking for 70 mins this morning plus a walk to the shops so it kind of crept up on me. And doing housework while listening to podcasts. Long but productive day

Great steps not
inwas felled by greed 2 !! Chunky kit kats

Not2bObvious · 11/05/2022 11:22

They're tricky gits them chunky kitkats, an obvious trip hazard.
Up mad early as felt able to, got a bodypump and a 10,000 step walk done before school run. Only problem with that is it feels like it should be lunchtime by now! But it's all good, nice to feel energised even if it wears off too early

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/05/2022 18:07

They do indeed. Today has been better
great going not

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 12/05/2022 14:32

Been out for lunch with MumBobs today only to a local garden centre but l only had a cooked breakfast which was bacon, scrambled egg & tomatoes , l gave my sausage & fried bread to Bobbo lol Grin
Glad you had a better day Life
Waves to everyone Smile hope everyone is doing grand Smile

Not2bObvious · 12/05/2022 17:23

Bobbo will be wondering why his slacks are tight, while you're floating around like a feather mrs😂 Crafty and I like it😉
Another busy day, on a bit of a spring clean buzz or more to the point a throw away/donate clean. There's many areas in my home needing sorting and I've 80% sorted two of them so I'm flying high on my success! Bloody starving, EP coming for fortnightly sleepover so surfing the hunger wave til 6'ish. I've increased my calories as I'm finding current amount too low to stick to over the week when looking at average. Falling into a too much at weekend, restrict too much during the week and then too much the next weekend as a reaction to too little during the week! So let's see if this is any more successful, won't know until next Friday for sure. Hoping to see a bit of a loss tomorrow since I've upped my steps a lot the last week - sorry for the epic chatter, it's distracting me from belly rumbles 😬

mrs haha I do this with my step dad who is basically a human bin. It’s great 😬
I have had a bad week - work do on Tuesday which was calorie blow out then hangover which meant Weds was a calorie blow out then wedding wine tasting yesterday… and so it goes. We picked some nice wines though!
I have a dinner out for a friend’s birthday next Wednesday (why do they have to do it mid week?!?!) so going to try my absolute best to stay on track until then to save up some cals.
Not that is a good idea tbh, you have to be able to stick to it or it won’t work. I am WFH today so hoping to get steps in with a walk around lunchtime and/or taking my marking to a cafe in town.
MIL got a pretty catastrophic diagnosis of stage 4 bowel cancer spreading to other organs including her liver 😥 it’s all going to be on us as DH brother and sister don’t do anything to help, and she desperately wants to stay at home as long as possible. I can teach online if needed so could go there soon, but DH teaches secondary still (I moved to University teaching in 2019) so he’d need to have leave from work.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/05/2022 06:51

Sounds like a very sensible plan not. I stopped tracking at 12000 steps as watch needed charge but went on to jet wash loads of the garden

Not2bObvious · 13/05/2022 07:32

Very sorry to hear about your mil gen, I hope they're keeping pain under control. These situations are terribly stressful and it may be a case of seeing how realistic staying at home is, I've experienced that and with all the best will in the world us normal humans aren't necessarily equipped to suddenly become care givers at that level. Be kind to yourselvesFlowers
Did my walk, on 10,000 already. Managed to adjust mfp to start week on Friday so I now know my average cals were 1955 for the week just gone. Haven't weighed yet, was 164.6 last Friday, I'll update when I brave the SOD

News from the naughty step, down .6 to 164, I've upped my steps and hitting average 15,000 a day. Thankfully the steps side of things isn't too hard at the minute, but it's a lot of bloody effort for just over half a pound. I've managed the EP visit and stuck to cals, now have to manage meal out tonight & after effects tomorrow. Ouf, 2 weeks to holiday

Sorry Gen. Missed your post. That’s not an easy situation. Get as much help as you can would be my advice

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 13/05/2022 16:32

Gen l am so sorry to hear you and your Dh are having to bear the brunt of the care for your MIL, especially as l know how the burdon can really get one down from personal experience Flowers
I think your Dh maybe able to get special leave or at the very least a sick note for 'stress' which won't be a lie l can tell you . I am so sorry sweetheart Sad

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 13/05/2022 16:41

Not excellent stuff well done ! You must be so pleased & that sounds very sensible to me , l think you are doing the right thing especially as you are having your EP staying and they will be eating your meals and you have to cater for them Flowers
Have a lovely weekend with them Smile
Bobbo can eat like a horse and stay as thin as a reed, he tried on his suit from 3 years ago for my Mum's 90th party and it fitted him like a glove bless him , he is on the go all the time though, he is an absolute darling and a joy to know Grin
Life l don't know what it is about jet washing but it is so satifying Grin
Been fine today busy as per took Mum to the Drs this morning , she has her leg ulcer dressed by the nurse there once a week , l do it in between . It isn't improving yet but it's early days . Then off to get the prescription , then sort the tablets out , then do the shopping and finally more life admin changing his electricity and gas to an online account so l can deal with it more easily in futureSmile

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/05/2022 18:37

I’ve just had a tiny Aldi chocolate pudding (gu fake) 322 calories and soo not worth it!!! Should have saved them
only 116 over though

Gensola · 13/05/2022 20:52

life that’s so disappointing isn’t it. I stole one of DH posh praline eggs (sort of like a mini egg but about twice or three times the size) and it was the same, super sweet and not that nice. And I had to confess my crime too! 😂
I’m just about in cals today but have been out of control all week and I feel bloated. Did body pump 45 mins which is something.
off to London tomorrow to meet an old friend so let’s see how that goes food wise!

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/05/2022 07:27

It set me off to the chocolate biccies to soo slightly over maintenance
just enjoy tomorrow in a healthy as possible way then restart Sunday

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/05/2022 07:27

The last bit was for Gen

Not2bObvious · 14/05/2022 11:32

Morning all. Had a brilliant night with my bestie, more drink than food so a tad delicate but not too bad. Gorgeous day here so I'll get out for a walk in a bit.
Have fun with your friend gen, does the heart good to have a catch up😊

Had a lovely time in London and have just about escaped a hangover despite drinking a bottle of wine each - long train home with lots of water helped!
SOD - 128.5/58kg so well pleased with that after wine and steak and chips! Hoping to be down at 128 or even below by my checkin on Weds. I’ve told PT that this month is my last but I’d already paid it so decided just to stay on for May, then go it alone from June onwards.

Not2bObvious · 15/05/2022 11:13

That's great gen, you're very likely under the 128 if that's what you're seeing after drinks & dinner out. I'm much better today, although lacking drive. I'm still in bed scrolling and drinking tea, I need to get up but can't summon the energy

DH vasectomy reversal has failed - he got the letter in his email on Friday from the private consultant but only realised it was there today. So we are at the end of the road - no babies for us. He was so devastated when he opened the letter he cried. I’m trying to stay positive so he doesn’t feel worse.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 15/05/2022 17:26

Oh My God Gen l am so so sorry , l just don't know what to say to you . It is so awful for you especially as your poor Dh is so upset over your Mil as well. If you ever want to talk about it or just have a rant, then you just carry on. l am so sorry l so wish this just wasn't true Flowers

Not2bObvious · 15/05/2022 17:56

I'm so very sorry gen, I can't imagine how hard this is for you bothFlowers
