Replaced batteries in scales yesterday turns out that's not the issue, shortly after I got this positive result. So bonus week off!
I'm making a list & will see how my health is and that'll decide what gets done around here.

Ah crap happier, how you feeling? I'm definitely on the mend but it's slow to lift.
I defo did go a bit too far on my walk, it had been a week since I'd left the house so the novelty clouded my sense.

Happierwithouthim · 11/07/2022 16:36

I'm very tired so I'm not pushing myself too much but there are hours between the bouts of coughing so that's good

Not2bObvious · 11/07/2022 16:40

Have to say I didn't have a lot of coughing either - yeah the tiredness is next level. I'm barely up today and it's been a week, I'm going to test tomorrow & hope for negative. Need to see my EP as well as get back to some sort of normality, but until I'm not infectious, I can't risk it.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 11/07/2022 16:47

OH Happier l didn't realise you had it too l am sorry lovely Flowers
Not it's taking it out of you lovely l hope you are back to normal very soon Flowers
I am in fear of catching it because of MumBobs so l get your concern over your EP Flowers
On a good note l actually went to the dentist today after 3 years! They wouldn't allow us to be seen unless we had a problem and no routine checkups , they have just gotten round to the backlog now .I didn't have to have anything done either which was a huge bonus , l have chipped two of my teeth but he wasn't worried about them and l didn't even know l had done it! YAY! Grin

Not2bObvious · 11/07/2022 16:50

That's great mrs! 3 years and nothing needing doing is an accomplishment - good for you. I don't know how my EP would cope with this, if it floored me in my 40's, late 80's would be finished off. Terrifying

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 11/07/2022 16:51

Saying that of course not everyone gets it bad, I didn't get it particularly bad by all accounts.

Ahh thank you Not l am thrilled to bits Grin
Yes you are absolutely right to be cautious with your EP , l have been told that this version of the virus
BA 4/5 is attacking the lower lungs again so it is a nastier one than the BA2 that wasn't so damaging . However the virus will be changing again soon so lets hope it will be a less damaging one Smile

Happierwithouthim · 11/07/2022 17:15

I didn't even know what version we are on at this stage. I'm doing the bare minimum until I see how sick I'm going to get, conserving my energy.

Beautiful day all the windows in the house open.

Hopefully you won't get it badly Happierjust because it is thought of as a worse varient it still means a lot of ppl will be unsymptomatic or not badly affected , hope you are one of the lucky ones Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/07/2022 19:01

Gosh I’m tired. About 10k steps. What a difference no mid day dog walk makes
oj food but lots of ice cream

Not2bObvious · 11/07/2022 21:36

Bang on cals here despite hoping to reduce, oh well at least I got my morning walk in & am feeling better.
Definitely take it as easy as possible happier, it'll help with recovery. I haven't a clue about variants either, I don't appear to have had a lot of the normal symptoms that had been v common🤷‍♀️ Anyway, hoping it's over now - I have got to do some work, I've done the least I can to tick over & it's not enough. Stuff needs doing!
Ice cream is an essential part of the summer months, I think I'll start listing it as a new macro😉

not and happier sorry to hear you have covid, sounds nasty. definitely rest up and don’t over do it.
we have a wine tasting today with 5 Greek cheeses 😬 the wedding dress fear is real!!

mrs that’s great about the dentist, I need to go actually as I’m having pain opening my jaw, on the right side. I’m sure it’s just me grinding my teeth or something but it’s been persistent so I better go and have it checked out.
life 10k steps sounds really good to me!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2022 06:21

Don’t go full pelt in not. Take it easy today.

how long do you have between getting back and the dress? You will be fine. Get Chubb undies too.

aerobics today and food . As much as I can muster I’m afraid

Gensola · 12/07/2022 07:28

We are back 22 July wedding is 20 Aug. May need to do very fast 800 or something 🫣

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 12/07/2022 07:41

Gen you will be fine you will have a month to get into your wedding dress l am sure you will look absolutely gorgeous ❤️

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 12/07/2022 07:45

Glad you are starting to feel better Not 👏☺️💐
Hope you are still not too bad from it Happier ☺️💐
Life that sounds good to me lovely ☺️
On another note omg it was uncomfortable trying to sleep here last night 🔥🌡️. We did drop off but it was a very fitful sleep ☺️
Have a lovely day everyone 😊

Not2bObvious · 12/07/2022 08:43

All fine today, apart from pulling a muscle in my sleep. Flip sake. Anyway, such is life in my 40's.
The scales is not taking any prisoners, my week lying down has set me back. I'm still 171'ish, now on day 4 of it. I had been around 168-169 about 10 days ago. So on we go, no big exercise plans until I'm recovered a bit longer than a day. I'll put in some work today that'll help with distraction. Lashing rain here. Hoping it picks up so I can take a short walk later on.
It's such a drag trying to sleep in the heat mrs, last night was very heavy here as well. We'd all the heat yesterday but v little sun!
How you feeling happier? Fingers x'ed not too bad.

OP posts:
TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 12/07/2022 16:10

Not it is so easily done especially tossing and turning in these hot nights Flowers
Very similar here today, very warm humid 25C but no sun it's nuts!

Not2bObvious · 12/07/2022 17:53

Got a walk in, not as long as yesterday but did a second short stroll to the shop now I'm neg. 9,000 steps done, calories ok at this point but not a well planned day. I'd like to come in around 1,600.
Hard to know how much of my back pain is remains of the lurgy or the muscle strain. A very long day

Was hoping for a sea swim this evening but dd kicked off so I’m home with her.

from other thread I had bloods done on Friday. All but one has come back and these show high cholesterol. I’m “only” 37. Should this be something I’m to be worried about?

Not2bObvious · 12/07/2022 20:14

I don't know if age has any great bearing on cholesterol, I was told a high fat diet possibly caused my post Christmas slightly high cholesterol results but apart from being told to try get the weight down & watch my fat intake the doctor wasn't massively concerned. I'd never had a high reading before so thought it was Christmas excess that caused it.

OP posts:
ememem84 · 13/07/2022 06:16

Hm. Interesting. I don’t know anything much about cholesterol. So had a google. Obviously. And I also don’t know how high mine is. Receptionist just called me. Not the dr. So when I actuall see dr I’ll know more. But guess I’ll be being more mindful about food!

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/07/2022 07:23

Interesting em I also non nothing about cholesterol

Not2bObvious · 13/07/2022 07:29

My doctor thinks I'm a fat lazy lump so if I went with a broken arm, she'd tell me to run around the block eating a muller fat free to cure it. Bitter? Moi?
Scales dipped a bit, now 169'ish. The Happy Scale app has kept readjusting goals since my weigh ins were all so consistently high the last week. It had been a bit optimistic thinking I'd go from 168 to 167. Oh dear no no, we have to go back into the 170-171'ish for a spell.
Here's hoping it'll start to turn around now I'm starting to get a bit more active.
