Got up and did day 1, week 1 C25K. It's been a while, it wasn't too pretty but around 5,000 in 30 minutes was great.

Well done not I am in a foul mood as my morning off was taken away for meetings so I came in suited and booted and then my boss cancelled the meetings so I could have had a lovely morning, walk, gym etc. RAGE

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/06/2022 16:37

That’s shit gen
well done dragging you out not

chunky Kit Kat over today

Happierwithouthim · 14/06/2022 17:44

I'm around, my snacking is ridiculous, I signed up for two week trial with Noom sun night, my meals are ok though.
Walked sat & mon and will again tomorrow, if ds is agreeable we might wander by the canal while dd is at guides. First day taking them that I've no jobs to do.

Had a day off planned for thurs, massage followed by breakfast out followed by meeting ds's play therapist walk the dog and then collect from school, my colleague has Covid so I can't do it until 30 June now Sad

Gen AF helps with calorie intake too doesn't it?

Not2bObvious · 14/06/2022 18:13

Are you done with the coach happier? Haven't heard a lot about Noom, you'll have to fill us in. I'm in the honeymoon period of dieting (ha'bloody'ha) and am motoring along being well behaved. I think we can all agree this may not end as well as I'd like to think! I'm clearly still full from all the food & drink over the last 2 weeks. I'm enjoying my new book though, nothing new yet as I'm very familiar with Jordan Syatt but I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it. I did a 20 minute dumbbell workout too today, must be time for a treat 🤔

I got a few new books too not carb curfew diet & lunch box diet, secondhand, delivered 9 books for €20!

Noom I guess is protein carbs fats named as green yellow red foods 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/06/2022 06:02

I went over yesterday but that was Monday deficient used up

good to see you back happier

Not2bObvious · 15/06/2022 07:23

If we've a book in our hand, it's one less hand to hold food in - if nothing else that's a bonus haha. I suffered from the ate to little during the day problem, ate loads last night. Hit around 1800 which is fine. I need to eat more substantial lunches to curb the night hunger. Scales down .8, gain now 6.2lb - I had thought I'd leave weighing until Friday but I just can't 😂

OP posts:

I ended up having 2 glasses of wine at the garden party - food was otherwise totally on point but scales up today. Sigh. I have a leaving do Friday which I want to drink at but when I think back to losing the weight I just didn’t drink alcohol for ages. My birthday next week and have a dinner out with DH and drinks with friends planned - maybe my best bet is just to try and maintain!
I got the Louise Parker book which I read in a morning - I enjoyed it and it’s sensible, it’s basically whole foods, low carb, no booze, no crap. If only it were that simple 😅😅

Happierwithouthim · 15/06/2022 09:48

I finished the jar of nutoka yesterday eve which is a help because it's gone Wink

I was able to have it in the house and not eat it but I'm not anymore again Confused

I finished with coach not money & no difference on scales

I've eatstro ordered for next week so looking forward to that.
Halloumi curry out of freezer tonight, recipe from don't go bacon my heart website

Also found this in 2018/2019 when I went alcohol free for 9 months, but was attending gym 3 times per week too

Not2bObvious · 15/06/2022 11:52

If we could get our head around scales weight flux just being weight, not fat lost or gained. Obviously over time the flux can be fixed to the body.
Gen 2 glasses of wine with tasty (salty most likely food) are messing with your fluid retention. Having a few drinks on Friday won't mess anything up, stick to plan today/tomorrow and most of Friday. We have to live a bit too

The half size me lady talks about the lower brain-chatter, in our case when we try so hard to undo gradual weight gain in double quick time and grab at every idea out there.
I'm trying to focus on more protein for the next few days, have to get on top of night time nibbling!

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 15/06/2022 14:48

My work colleague is a devil for sweets & I was falling into habit of eating them too.
Today I brought in a can of Pepsi Max & raspberries and a protein yogurt & have resisted the lure of her sweets stash so far

Flux is flux - that's one thing I do understand now

Not2bObvious · 15/06/2022 18:42

Well done happier, it's terrible hard to resist when people do that but do it once you can do it again.
Had homemade pizza and some wine in the garden, enjoying the Irish summer, aka bit of sun between the clouds periodically

Well done resisting sweets happier, there are all over my work too
decent day yesterday
baking for scouts today. Too hot for a long dog walk but might do Zumba tonight

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2022 07:52

Yesterday was a swerve, back to it today. I'm not weighing as it's likely to show a jump & it's been bad enough as it is being back in the 170's without seeing it creep back up to the mid numbers.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 16/06/2022 09:23

Sounds like a nice evening not
I went for a lovely walk & chat by the canal yesterday and came home & had chickpea & halloumi curry, I've come to the conclusion I can't eat veggie, I just wasn't satisfied.

Fitbit was dead but we definitely did it faster than other evenings

Happierwithouthim · 16/06/2022 09:23

92.3kg this morn

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2022 12:57

Weighed after jog and bodypump, cheating I know but meh. Down .2, so 4lb's of bloat gone since Sunday. Gain now at 6lb.
I don't think I'd make a very good veggie, I'd be on the chips all the time!

Afternoon everyone Smile
Am afraid l have completely lost the plot here. Mum was absolutely vile to me on Tuesday and today , l have had such a feed of being treated like shit from her . I was there the bare minimum this morning and left as soon as l could . She was on the patio in her nightie at 10am when we got there , do you think l could get her to come and shower, she was so horrible . 'l will come when l am ready' 'l will shower myself ' , yeah right ! So l took no notice and left her to get on with it and did the ironing , she went to the shower then , l showered and dressed her as quickly as possible and we buggered off home.
Anyway Not that is excellent work getting 4lbs off! Well done !
Life well done with keeping off the sweets! Smile
Happier great work re the protein yog and no sweeties Smile
Have a wonderful day everyone Smile

Gensola · 16/06/2022 14:43

mrs you are an angel, my granny is the same to my mum and my auntie, she is so horrible to them and calls them up leaving vile messages. It’s terrible. You deserve a medal for looking after her - many wouldn’t!
I am exhausted but trying my best to keep going. Did body pump this morning and walked to supermarket, waitrose is now officially too expensive for us so that will be the last time I shop there for a while.
Have two online lessons left today 3-5 then I’m done and once DH has had his counselling session 5-6 we are going for a walk maybe a drink in a pub by the river then home for a chicken salad I have prepared already.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 16/06/2022 14:55

AW Gen thank you for understanding sweetheart it is just so difficult dealing with such unpleasantness day in day out .
You have done so well just have to keep it going Smile
Waitrose is expensive but l find Tesco is too , l am going to Morrisons a lot more now and Aldi . I think we just have to do whatever it takes to keep ourselves solvent tbh!

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2022 14:59

Aww mrs, when you say you lost the plot do you mean your temper or you had a food temper rage splurge. Which quite frankly I'd have done both faced with that cantankerous behaviour. My EP is pretty mild mannered but can get quite up on the high horse at times. And very me me me. Please try step back a bit and do the minimum going forward, you're a very good daughter & you don't deserve any abuse. And if it was diet splurge, it's behind you now, you have your health to think of and you've been doing so wellFlowers

Thank you Not l mean a scoff , l try not to raise my voice with my Mum or even to complain she just starts crying and makes me feel guilty so there is no point tbh Hmm . My God l hope l do not give my DDs the same life . Thank you Smile
