I am a bit worried about my bloods needing repeating because you do, don't you? l was so anxious, my B/P was up and my weight STS this week, not surprising really because l had a wedding last Saturday , l forgot to tell you , l forgot myself tbh! l have to ring Friday for the results fingers crossed everything is ok .
Gen you have as many treats and trips and as good a life as you possibly can, l know it must be gut wrenching for you . l will tell you that in my experience , l had a very strong maternal instinct until l went through the menopause and it just disappeared for me . It was an absolute relief l always wanted more children but as soon as the Menopause it was like l was a completely differnet woman. I would like Grandchildren of course but l am not desperate or making my daughters lives a misery and l can see neither of my daughters having any tbh. It's their choice and as long as they are happy that is all that matters Smile
Not you always work so hard at keeping your weight down l really admire you , am so glad you haven't got Thyroid problems they are a curse!
Weather is lovely out now so l will go and bother Dh in the garden Grin

Sts with a wedding is very good mrs, fingers x'ed on the bloods, I think repeating is a good idea if they've been off - literally because they can vary so much so better not to assume one reading is the baseline.
My own peri menopausal symptoms at the moment seem to be extreme lethargy, I am on hrt and it's fixed some stuff but brought others to the forefront. Sigh...bloody womanhood

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 18/05/2022 16:36

Thank you Not Yes l didn't think if it like that the baseline bloods are bound to vary Smile
I am glad you are on HRT Not it really helps with the symptoms, yes bloody womanhood has a lot to answer for Flowers

Reset calories and macros today. Have 49 left, 11700 s steps

Not2bObvious · 18/05/2022 19:23

Just over 17,000 steps due to before work and after work steps. Despite thinking I might stick to low cals, I'm giving myself some grace & having some nice chocolate with a measured amount of wine. Watching Working Moms & chilling

Not2bObvious · 19/05/2022 08:34

Got a 55 minute walk in, 7000 steps to start the day. Having a coffee to prepare me for the mornings work. I have to do a body pump or similar at lunchtime. Ended up having a 70 cal choc after breakfast, hopefully that's not setting the tone for the day!

Gensola · 19/05/2022 08:56

Guess who has a hangover…. 😂😵‍💫
Have had a healthy egg and courgette omelette (no cheese!) but craving carbs so badly, may need to nip out of work for a big sugary and greasy muffin 😂
Well done on the walk not - I didn’t walk in today as I usually do because we had an 8am meeting which I think is a bit obnoxious if I am honest. Sigh.

Not2bObvious · 19/05/2022 10:45

8am meeting?!?!? That's abuse
Hope the omelette was nice but in all honesty you need the muffin 😋
I've an urge to bake a delicious cake or failing that, go buy a delicious cake but I'll try do neither with 9 days of eating between me & my holiday clothes. A pound off on this side of the holiday will be worth it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/05/2022 16:09

8 am!? Sheesh
doing well today but ds made scones and they are lovely. I can’t not have one for him. Maintenance day today

ememem84 · 19/05/2022 16:20

Omelette sounds yum but you need carbs. Greasy ones. Chips.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 19/05/2022 17:30

Spoke to the Gp via phone appt today and he thinks my B/P medication might be affecting my kidney function test , l had no idea that B/P meds could do that !
Anyway my Thyroid level was down so l have to up my Levothroxine as well but the good news is my HBAC1 was excellent and so was my Cholesterol, need a repeat U&E/Thyroid blood test in 2 months , so l live to ride another day , l was worried l can tell you , no money in the world can replace our health Smile
Not great thinking, leave the cake where it is and you can have some on hols , well done on the walking too Flowers
Gen you are doing brilliantly, the omelette sounds delicious and very healthy well done lovely Smile
Great stuff Life keep it going Smile
Am ok here we will get there Smile

Not2bObvious · 20/05/2022 07:35

That's great mrs, what a relief! Take the next two months to keep focus on getting the few pounds down too, my doctors appointment for bmi check before my last holidays really gave me a tangible goal - no weight loss/bp reduction, potentially no hrt meds. And as you've said less weight is less pressure on your back, win win. Clearly aware of easier said than done but you know I like a good waffle😂

OP posts:
Gensola · 20/05/2022 08:00

mrs that’s great news and such a relief I’m sure!
I had a giant bun the size of my head yesterday and then risotto and garlic bread for dinner - resultant bloat and gain on scales today!
DH is making smoked mackerel fish cakes from some mackerel we had in the freezer for dinner tonight which I’m really looking forward to.
tried a kefir and protein yoghurt this morning - it was absolutely disgusting 😂 so thinking of having some boiled eggs and a piece of grilled bacon before leaving for my meeting.
I don’t have any classes on Friday morning so can usually sneak into work a bit later 😃

Not2bObvious · 20/05/2022 08:22

Up .4 on last week which is a bit crap but I guess understandable as it was an off week. Could or should have been worse.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 20/05/2022 08:56

And might be a bit of post weights water retention as I've just realised my legs are aching from squats yesterday at a heavier weight 🤔

OP posts:
TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 20/05/2022 20:58

Thank you Not & you are so right l am looking forward to getting weight off and seeing my bloods go back to normal fingers crossed , it's a great target for me 🤗
That's disappointing for you re the weigh in today but you know you said about water retention in the muscles? Well l used to get it when l was working on my treadmill, it quite put me off until l researched it and found it was true .
Thank you Gen l am trying my best to get some weight off and improving my bloods ☺️
Hope you are feeling much better today but you deserved a day off!
Life hope you are doing great lovely 🤗

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/05/2022 07:53

I was going well for the last 2 days until I ate a large matlteaser bar, no loss this week.
had a check up as been getting weird heart palpitations but probable stress. Wrist is finally feeling better so back to pump next week

Not2bObvious · 21/05/2022 11:20

Snack'cidents happen life, stress can absolutely bring on the heart palpitations. I'd say take it easy but easier said than done.
Short bodypump done so I've hit 3 weights this week and just over 8,600 steps before mum taxi duties. Fry inhaled

OP posts:
TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 21/05/2022 17:24

Life l have palps on and off and no sooner are they there then they are gone, thank God because they are horrible . Sounds like it could be stress it's unbelievable how much stress can affect us all, l swear it's what have caused my B/P. l hope your wrist keeps good now Smile
Not great exercise work well done Smile Been busy therefore am good Halo

Gensola · 22/05/2022 07:20

I did a new barre and body pump combo yesterday and my waist is sore today 😂 wtaf I have never had this before - it’s the usual post exercise DOMS but down each side of my waist!
went to lovely neighbours for dinner, think we had 2.5 bottles between 4 so reasonably restrained and I don’t have a hangover! DH does because he’s a lightweight 😂
on the way to the wedding dress shop to try on some dresses with my bestie, quite excited!
Going to stay off the booze now totally til my work event on Weds. Few days of detox will do me good.
life DH gets palpitations after coffee, could yours maybe be triggered by food/drink of some sort? Hope you feel better soon 💐

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/05/2022 08:06

Your neighbours sound lovely gen btw

palpitations are definitely lifestyle I think but no rhyme or reason to them.
cutting down on caffeine yes
very unsatisfactory tea last night. Was home alone and got some malteasers all good until I ate 1/2 a tub of adli Pringles

fml
walk with pal this morning, start again again

Not2bObvious · 22/05/2022 11:04

Morning all. Lying in bed watching YouTube reviews of crappy mlm diet plans😂 V entertaining. Over cals last night but should be good today. If I could keep my splurges to once a week I'd be grand. Will need to get a walk in later

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 22/05/2022 19:52

Not a bad day food wise. Could be better but 24500 steps

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 22/05/2022 20:03

Pretty good day all in all . Been sorting stuff out and trying to declutter it keeps me busy & off the food thank God 🤗

Gensola · 22/05/2022 20:35

I’ve had a terrible day of food as we drove two hours + each way to Essex to a preloved bridal shop - but I found my dress! So happy with it. Ironically it is very snug so now I really do have to be careful not to put on weight 😂 time to get serious!
