Just started Fast 800 - care to join me?

Hello

Despite my user name, I will not allow myself to be ambushed by cakes etc for at least 3 weeks. I have a stone to lose and have just read the Fast 800 Keto and watched the series on 4 on Demand, How to Lose a stone in 21 days.

Day one went well. Had 3 lovely meals (recipes delicious and easy to prepare) but just not a lot of them.

The 5 volunteers on the Channel 4 series lost between 10 lbs and 1st 10 lbs in 21 days. That has got to be a great motivation.

Please join me if you like the sound of this, as we can support each other.

@Ambushedbycakeinmydreams that is fantastic - well done you. Not far to go now! Are you switching to 5:2 now or carrying on with the 800?

@JodieFoster1 bread is my weakness too, and for me, bread leads to cake and cake leads to chocolate.

I am down 7.2kg at the 21 day point or 15lb. I really struggled this weekend and felt hungry the whole time. I'm desperate to persevere through beyond week 4 as this seems to be the point where people talk about the "magic" happening. I haven't yet dropped into any smaller clothes as all my clothes were tight when I started, but I think dropping a dress size would be the biggest motivator for me. Onwards and downwards...

Morning all ! Great to hear you're rearing to go @Supersee - you won't regret it.

Thanks @clairebeacham. I'm unsure what my approach is from now - I suspect will keep to the diet more or less but when I need it, increase the portions. I don't think I can cope with 4 days on / 3 days off so I'd rather moderate all days.

How is everyone getting on this week? I was down 8.1kg in total yesterday, but have been off plan today with a delicious Mother's Day lunch which included some Eton Mess. It wasn't a disaster but I'm definitely over calories. Haven't had anything to eat since 3pm though so I think I will be fine. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Lorelaiii · 28/03/2022 10:28

8.1kg is fantastic Claire :-) I think everyone deserves a treat, and mother's day seems like the perfect opportunity. Hope you had a nice day! We went round to my mom's and she cooked a roast dinner. I have to be honest and say I did not necessarily manage to avoid the yorkshire pudding or roast potatoes...

For me we are entering week 4, and I did not weigh in at the end of this week. I didn't feel like things had gone particularly well, I was under the weather for a few days so I didn't stick to plan. I tried to do my best where I could, but for me I can tell if things aren't going well. I decided to weigh in and potentially see a gain would make me disheartened, so I decided against it!
This week I'm determined to get back on track.
Have a good week!

Ambushedbycakeinmydreams · 28/03/2022 10:39

I'm now on week 5, day 29. I've upped my intake so guess my calories average 1200 - 1500 daily, which is fine.

I seem to feel full quite quickly now, I think my stomach must have shrunk. Did not lose much this week - just 1.5 lbs, but only have 7lbs to go so a slower but steady loss is okay.

I did try on a pair of size 12 trousers I bought 3 weeks ago. At the time they fitted (albeit slightly generously). Tried them on again yesterday and they now look like clown pants. Subsequently went and ordered a size 10 ... the last pair the supplier had in stock.

But everyone deserves a treat and a nice mothers' day, so hopefully everyone can now get back on track. Have a good week!

Morning all. I had a bit of a plateau for a week but losing again now. Its not as dramatic as for some of you but I'm not being 100% on track all the time so happy to be losing consistently. Still really enjoying the food so this is working for me.

TwoHoots74 · 13/04/2022 10:53

So glad I found this group.

I'm trying to do the F800. I've got the books and the Mediterranean cook book but I just don't get what I'm supposed to eat.

Having done ww on and off I'm struggling to get my head around it.

How many hrs do I leave between fasting ? What do I eat?

Please help. I'm desperate to lose weight.

Winecheesesleep · 16/04/2022 14:00

Hi @twohoots74! I'm not really fasting although I don't eat breakfast so I suppose I am in a way.

I just pick a lunch and a dinner for each day from the F800 recipe books when I'm meal planning for the week. I'll add more food on for the rest of the family and that's worked quite well.

I'm not sticking to it perfectly but finding it good. I really like the recipes, they feel really healthy and tasty.

redmapleleaves1 · 16/04/2022 22:11

Glad to find you all here, and very inspiring to read all your progress. I think I'm going to give this a go. Have just ordered a recipe book, and marking my space. Lots of other stuff going on this week, so might not be till next week, but the good intentions and planning start here.

comfortablyfrumpy · 20/04/2022 16:19

Started on this on Sunday.
I made myself the cheese/chive muffins and also the dark chocolate bites - recommend both, surprisingly yummy.
I did get myself some ketosis pee sticks, still only showing up at as between trace and low, but hoping to break through shortly!!
I'm surprised how unhungry I am - and realise how much of a habit the biscuit with the cup of tea has become. I have had to not veer towards the tin when I put the kettle on.
I know it's early days but I definitely feel less bloated already. I really should shift 3 stone but 2 would be helpful.

HowIsItMarchAlready · 20/04/2022 18:17

Does anyone else find that if you have liquidised food e.g. smooth soups, your tummy gets less bloated in 24 hours? I put protein in my soups and have that throughout the day. Amazing how much of a difference it makes to my stomach in a short time.

@Ambushedbycakeinmydreams Hi, just wondering if you sustained the weight loss?? Am considering fast800 but not sure what happens “after” and worried it’ll all go back on + more (as always seems to be the way)
