My Dahhhrling Dh (sarcky mode here) once described my nipples as being as big as scammell wheel nuts, and he was complimenting me.

katylessbumpy · 29/12/2007 21:09

rofl! must admit ,haven't seen mine for a while.i tend to tuck them in my knicker elastic to keep warm in winter

MuthaHubbard · 29/12/2007 21:10

Can I join too?? Need to lose about 2 stone. Lost 3 end of last year/beginning of this but have probably put about a stone back on over the last six months.

Am up for nork swinging - don't worry discoverlife - mine where once compared to dockside rivets.....romantic.

katylessbumpy · 29/12/2007 21:17

congratulations on your weight loss muthahubbard. nork swinging is great for burning calories so welcome aboard.

susiecutiemincepies · 29/12/2007 21:21

My DH would get a slap round the face with mine, if he said anything like that.

muthhubbard no need to ask! just join us, anytime you like.

katy my fish and chips were fabby, and no mushy peas

I really enjoyed them, and we decided that it is definitely the last norty take away food for a loooooong time.

So tomorrow, i'm going to get back on the slim fast I think. Suited me really well actually. DH is doing a kind of 2 bowls of cereal a day diet, with both of us eating a meal in the evening. It does help that he wants to join me.

I am also going to start limbering up for the nork swinging again. Gives me a wonderful focus for the rest of my day

MUMOFDJandP · 29/12/2007 21:21

If I nork swing

Susiecutie you are so lucky to have a DH who would join you. My DP is skinny and has oodles of self discipline. He eats like a bird (we don't live in the same house) and I feel like a pig when I eat there. He gets cross when I can't just "EAT LESS" like he does. GRRRRRRRRR If being cross could lose weight I would not need a diet!!!

MUMOFDJandP · 29/12/2007 21:30

on a serious note... I am fat and fed up with it and as a result I comfort eat

does that sound atall familiar to anyone

andfranksentthis · 29/12/2007 21:31

Is Susiecutie's DH going to join in the nork swing with a .........PMSL .........swing? Sorry ... when I start I can't stop.

andfranksentthis · 29/12/2007 21:33

MUMOFDJ... I know what you mean.. It is a viscious circle. I am so glad to have found this thread. Maybe we can help each other here so we get the comfort without the need to eat.

katylessbumpy · 29/12/2007 21:37

that is exactly what this thread is about xx

MUMOFDJandP · 29/12/2007 21:38

OP posts:
naturopath · 29/12/2007 22:12

ok, my dh is joining me on diet too. Starts 1 Jan.
Will mostly consist of vegetables, fruit, cereal...not sure what else. Might have to consult some books.

andfranksentthis · 29/12/2007 22:14

But i really don't like fruit (apples and pears and sometimes grapes actually make me ill)

katylessbumpy · 29/12/2007 22:23

i'm joining ww.did slimfast before christmas which worked really well but not sure i could do it long term.dh is joining me too.
anything low fat,low calorie and not processed is a good start to a healthy diet.
lean meats, chicken and fish are also good and fill you up.just don't forget portion size.im tired now but i'll dig out my diet books tomorrow and post some portion sizes if anyones interested.
oh and don't forget lots of water.it fills you up,detox's you and makes your skin glow

OP posts:
naturopath · 29/12/2007 22:23

what about vegetables?
and bananas are surely ok? peaches? ?

naturopath · 29/12/2007 22:24

Just bought some white tea as well - good antioxidents

katylessbumpy · 29/12/2007 22:25

don't forget to check sugar content in low fat stuff though .things like yoghurt tend to be packed with it !

OP posts:
katylessbumpy · 29/12/2007 22:31

ooh never tried white tea.i've got green.just trying to wean myself off diet coke again.it's my drink of choice,cans and cans a day.i've given it up once ,i will do it again [determined face}

OP posts:
fedda · 29/12/2007 23:28

That's a very nice idea.

JossSticksItTo2007 · 29/12/2007 23:40

Can i join?

I'd like to lose 2 stone in the new year.

Figure it'll take about 5 months.

Am i being too optimistic??

pollywollybauble · 29/12/2007 23:40

hello everybody!

glad to be back from in laws....lots of sleep and nice food but have a manic child in tow...we have different ideas about discipline....MIL will sit on the naughty/thinking step with her and tell her mummy doesn't mean it!! Luckily dh stepped into the fray this time.... Best moment was getting a new nightie from them which was quite nice but then MIL said she'd liked so much that she'd bought one for herself....some things are just not right!

ps mylittlepud you can ask me what you want to, i didn't think you were being nosy...nobody sets out to have a baby at xmas or new year do they?...mind you i was born on NYE

waves at new people ....beginning to think that my hubby was quite pleasant when he said my nips were like pygmy cocks! To all those with droopy boobs, stick a duster on the end of them and move around the house...cuts down on housework

ps how does pollywollydwindle sound as a new name?
